Zant was the most anti-climatic boss ever, throughout the game they made him out to be some super badass, but he turned out to be a crazy servant to Ganondorf. I actually thought he was Ganondorf for a while.
that right there was the strangest boss battle I ever have seen! but I have to say it got to a stage watching it, where I thought, 'surely he should be dead now' and still wasn't! great vid, well done.
At the end when he uses the spin attack at you! you were just standing there with the shield out? You can do the Shield attack to push him back then it will stop him from doing that so long
On top of the psychotic cackling, the monkeying around, and his complete ineptitude with his swords- This seals it for me. 3:42 His helmet gets stuck in the ground. Zant does not give a crap about this fight, and I love him for it.

i have just done this battle omg i loved it! Zant is awesome totally love him! and he so my favourite character i would re-do this battle over and over again! i am so obsessed with him from the day i started Twilight princess. :')

I love how he is like bending and twisting like a psychopath while talking to you. The loon! He was completely deranged. This battle is definitely a respect killer! lol.

That's the thing though Zants character was portrayed as huge and powerful until you find out where he got his source of power and shows his true mental side through him being power crazy. Though with Ghirahim he's extremely sadistic toying with Link in every opportunity he sees fit until Link angers him to the point of unleashing all of his power and rage at one go at the end. I don't think its fair comparing the two as there portrayed in complete opposite ways.
Haha like a colosseum? Or maybe a Cave of Ordeals with MORE ordeals other than the darknuts? It sounds definitely interesting and cool! I hope they include that in a future game. And if they made a huge world in it, lots of (or some) optional dungeons (with monsters, puzzles, bosses and stuff)in which you could get stuff according to how hard it is (like in Majora's mask) would be a pretty nice addition, it wouldn't be as a linear game as it is right now anymore :)
HAHAHA MISS at 0:41 i hate when that happens...and i love how you have to hit your head to knock him down in that one place, i thought that was great. hitting your head on shit finally has a purpose haha
@pirateking0310 Just be flipping quick about getting away. You can temporarily kill the hands with your sword (and I assume projectile weapons), to help with the timing. Also, try planning ahead a best route back (I know some of the puzzles involve placing the sol in those pedistals and such...) Hope this helps!
I think Zant's Throne Room would make a much better stage than Zant as a character himself. He could be hopping around wildly in the background, firing energy balls at the fighters, and every so often, he just freaks out and teleports the stage! Poison water, underwater physics, ice slipping, wobbling platforms, or giant tilting platform!
Zant would be the only boss in the game with the potential of being a decent challenge had they decided to make his attacks actually damaging. The rest were so easy they would still be jokes even if their attacks did lots of damage. The only enemy in this game I consider to be tricky is the ball-n-chain sub-boss. Also, I loved how the game slapped you in the face with this. Zant went from the stereotypical dark villain to an unexpectedly silly freak of nature without any warning whatsoever.
montassar, idk if u know, but in skyward sword u can obtain the hylian shield(which doesnt break) from the thunder dragons lightning round (you will get it later if u r confused)
Since he died thinking that Ganon would revive him I come to the conclusion that he didnt take the fight with Link seriously and was mocking us the whole time. Midna puts him in his place though.
Zant must know Orca from Wind Waker! Look. He's doing the Hurricane Spin! He's doing it much, much, MUCH, longer than Link did. On a side note, Zant is probably the best boss in ANY Zelda game IMO. The way he makes you remember the 'techniques' you used to defeat the other bosses. And the last phase! PLEASE! Best part of ANY boss fight! I have to agree with 500gomez, if Zant knew Ganondorf wasn't going to revive him, he would've totally won.
To usurp is to seize control of something wrongfully. Zant is a usurper because he seized control of the throne--usurping Midna's position as ruler of the Twilight Realm.
to explain his sword still glowing, I think that Zant was just simulating light realm boss stages. Also he somehow always seems to know where Link is, as demonstrated by the attacks which open future warp portals and the fire attack when Link is a wolf over Lake Hylia.

He was shitty crazy in the first place. I guess he tings 'you've beat this boss before, I bet you forgot how to do it again!' Though I just has little problem... Like he needs one of those nice nurses that give you the happy jacket that makes you hug yourself..

When it gets to Blizzettas part and we start hearing more of Zant's theme (the two synth Riip Riip parts right after the other) it gets so cool.
I love the music when he's on the crosses, that is so awesome. Actually, I love all the music from this fight. Zant is fair cool :D

They always find a way to make you painfully re-live your previous bosses and battles in Zelda games.

This will go down as one of the most entertaining boss fights in any LoZ game, along with Twinrova and Volvagia.

to 'hear' the wiimote sound effects through your TV, you have to turn off the wiimote speakers under the options that show your wiimote battery life.

You can actually use spin attack to temporarily deflect zant's spin attack during the battle in front of Castle Town.
