- I was able to go pick it up today! It was shipped with only a partial address so FedEx gave up and held it. It was a hard decision to go pick it up. My intentions were to have them just ship it back to Verizon and enjoy my Series 10. But the fact that I kept my Series 5 until it was end of life, and finally upgraded, was weighing on me. I could potentially have wear this watch for the next few years. So why not wear THE BEST Apple Watch? I may return it and keep my Series 10. I might return my Series 10 and keep this one. The Series 10 has been so nice. Fast charging and all the latest features, and being able to play music directly on the watch. The speaker on the Ultra 2 is NOT louder (for Spotify at max volume on both), which is one of the reasons I wanted the Ultra 2. It has a dual speaker setup. The Series 5 has a very tiny speaker, but it's just as loud! I'm so torn and don't know what to do. Hopefully i'll find out in the next several days!

If I were in your situation I would've done the exact same thing and just waited a couple of days to just realize that I'll be keeping the Ultra Watch and that was already decided when I opened it. Tech devices and gadget are so addicting sometimes. And your enthusiasm about them is what makes the videos!

The flat sapphire glass makes that thing already plenty sturdy, but I see why you want to protect the investment. Also not working in automotive anymore helps keeping it safe, right? Hahaha

Fun fact ya don’t need the ultra to do the finger tap, just enable it in settings on a latest non ultra watch

What’s the biggest reason to get the Ultra? Day to day, I feel the 42mm is perfect, but could be better in many ways. Is the battery a good enough reason to upgrade?
@Beeppoop for me it’s features and battery life. Plus the action button is actually huge to me.
I agree with you, if the Ultra 3 came out then I would have upgraded from the Ultra 1, but the upgrades to the Series 10 only brought it up to parity with the Ultra. The Ultra 2 is still a far better watch than the Series 10 even if it says 2 on the back instead of 3. The S10 SIP is exactly the same as the S9 SIP except for the display controller for the new low power OLED in the Series 10. That is the only thing that the Series 10 has that the Ultra doesn't have and honestly I don't care about a second hand on my AOD so it's no deal for me anyway. I don't even use any watch faces that have second hands. The Ultra 2 has longer battery life, more accurate GPS, more durable and rugged design, Sapphire lens (which you can get on the titanium Series 10 but then you are paying almost the price of the Ultra so it's a no brainer to get it), siren, action button etc etc. It's just a better watch. The only reason in my mind to get a Series 10 is to save some money but then you only get a glass display which is likely to scratch (I have scratched every apple watch screen I have owned EXCEPT the Ultra 1 that I am still rocking and still looks like new after almost 2 years). So yeah, if you want the best, get the Ultra. If you wanna save some coin, get the Series 10 aluminium but put a screen protector on it if you do any outside sports.
@@The.JZA. I’ve already decided I’m keeping the ultra 2. I might still get the ultra 3 next year since I’m already a year behind (in tech, like cpu and stuff) and then rock the 3 until it’s end of life. Unless they go another year without the three or it’s just not worth it.
from the first apple watch to se to series 6 now just upgrade to the ultra 2. Ultra ftw never goin back to any other.

I just collected the AWU2 black this morning after placing an order the night before. It’s matte black color is so clutch and paired it with Nomad titanium black band, it looks like a ‘Batman’ watch 😂

I've had the OG ultra since launch, there's really been no reason to upgrade it. I probably won't unless apple finally releases blood pressure capability. If I were in your shoes I'd stick with the Ultra it will last you for many years.

That was definitely high on my list. I just only use that every once in a blue moon. I actually use voice memo daily. So that’s why I chose what I did.
I love my ultra 2 watch also when i washed my hands it do a count down for me also it do a heart rate and BPM

Return the X, I had the Apple Watch 1 and then the 4. I got the Ultra when it was first released and can’t imagine going back to the smaller watch.

It’s more of a psychological one because if Apple decided to release an Ultra 3 next year.. all of a sudden you’re feeling crappy. In which case having the series 10 would seem ideal. But the Ultra 2 is just sooo much better than series 10 in my opinion. Battery life, Home Screen, extra action button…
@@dexriasat4513 yeah, I made up my mind yesterday that he series 10 is going back. That said, I might still get the ultra 3 next year since it's already a year behind in tech (think features, cpu, battery tech, and more). And then rock 3 until it's end of life. Unless the three is a let down. We'll see.

TBH, if the Ultra 3 is anything like the upgrade from ultra 1 to 2. I’ll probably keep the Ultra 2. But I reckon there will be some kind AI integration into the Ultra 3. They may even change the whole design of it. In which case it’s a no brainer..
Return them both and wait for the ultra 3 sounds like a win. Lol.

My series 6 is in a similar condition lol. I was wondering about getting the black ultra 2
the series 10 is the same as the nine and 8 your not missing out on much the ultra battery is enough to return the series 10. you basically destroyed your s5 doing work on your car and at work the ultra is the go s10 is more for dressy compared.
Things have changed dramatically since the s5. I mean, they have apps that tell you how far under water you are now. I guarantee the ultra would not have cared if oil got on it. Obviously I’ll choose to NOT wear my watch during my next oil change though.
I’m considering Hermes U2 or Black U2... do you find the S10 better in any way or so far all for U2?

So I was a mechanic in the army and we couldn’t wear normal rings. Then I got out of the army, and I became a civilian mechanic. I’ve wore a tear away wedding ring for most of my marriage. Haha.
A very important question that could confirm my choice of this watch: if I wear my Oura Ring for sleep, can the data linked to the Health app be combined with the data I get from my Apple Watch Ultra? So that I don't have to wear the watch to sleep but it still takes my sleep data into account. Does anyone have the answer?
