Couldn’t agree with this video more! This was my first Apple Watch since the Series 3 and the black titanium finish with the Milanese loop is absolutely beautiful. I love that this watch can do it all: running, swimming, you name it and the durability holds up. I use this watch for cross country so accuracy is extremely important to me and it aces it. Expensive watch but worth every penny for me!
To be honest, Apple Watch Ultra 2 is just great. Everyone has their own opinion about these watches. But no matter how you look at it, it's just great Greetings from Kazakhstan
I got the black Ultra 2 because of the battery life and that brighter display. It’s way more rugged and i am so happy with the purchase. Previously a Series 8 and 5 user here. Traded my Series 8 in to get a decent discount.
I have the same watch. Black looks sick, but I’m not looking forward to scratches. DLC, PVC,Cerakote or whatever coating. It’s still a coating, and banged hard enough will show the raw metal underneath. I don’t mind scratched black analog watches, but scratched “tech” gear doesn’t look good. The black apple ultra just looks so cool though. I always thought the natural titanium ultra looked too big, even though it’s the same size.
Spoke too soon. Did a light graze against the bathroom tile wall today. Bare metal showing through the black already. Oh well time to not baby the watch anymore. If the scratches get out of hand, I’ll just smash it on the ground and get a replacement from Apple Care😜😅😅 There’s always a way around insurance. They get us for money, but I take advantage of them as well.
Mate can you upload a day in the life video with the iphone 16 pro max. It will be useful. I really love you day in the life videos. You really showcase everything. Each and every thing.
I had my ultra 1 from release day and jumped at the opportunity to go back to a black Apple Watch. It’s a super nice watch, but oddly I got used to the titanium color of the 1 and kind of want to go back to the silver titanium bezel when the newest version comes out. Also, I will say that I have almost no scratches on my watch and wear it daily and banged into quite a few countertops, door frames and other things with still no major damage or deep scratches.
No you need to set it up with an iPhone initially. Technically you could set it up and then use it on cellular with an android I’ve done that before as I normally use a pixel
Hey Matt, another fantastic video. Just a heads up, but your video chapters are messed up because its showing your gear list instead of the chapters for the Apple watch. You might want to remove the timestamps next to your gear list. Cheers buddy
I’ve been searching for an answer but to no avail. You mentioned you’ve been using your APW6 with black Milanese loop for 6 years. Did the black Milanese loop color fades overtime and have patches on different areas that loses it color? Im using silver Milanese and no issue for that
Apple has a great wearables platform. It's just missing a few tweaks to get it to excellent. One essential tweak is that it needs a longer battery life. Thirty-six hours (read the small print) is not enough. I'll dive back into the Apple pool when it gets to 72 hours of normal usage.
Mate I'm having apple watch SE 3 starlight with blue Nike sport band. Iphone SE 3 black in color. Can you just say me what case can I purchase for my iphone.
Im using the 7 in Gold. I had to give up my Gold iPhone for a Black one because there is no gold option anymore. Now they dismatch but I can’t get over the price for a product which i have and that works. I would buy it for the battery life and the color. For me its way to bulky and to expensive for what I get. Please take note that apple products are more expensive in Europe than the us, which is kinda ironic because the euro is worth more than the US dollar. I hope there is finally an option with atleast 36h battery in the normal one
@ I have 3 from Nomand - Black Titanium, Black Sports, and a brown modern leather band. I have the standard loop band from Apple, but I don’t use that very often. My favorite is the Nomad Titanium… it looks stunning with the jet black!
Would’ve been nice if it was black all the way through. The orange action button looks even more of an eye sore on this model. Much prefer the natural titanium for that reason, and because it hides the scratches well.
I returned mine. I didn’t like the way it looked with my bands. It just clashes with anything other than black. Also, the bezels look thicker as they’re all black. I exchanged it for the Polished Titanium Series 10. I’m much happier now.
Same i returned mine for the natural titanium with the Milanese band and best buy charges $45 for restocking fee but so much happier know with my trade.
Not really a fan of smart watch but due to the nature of my work, finally decided to hop on the band wagon. Went out yesterday looking for a smart watch. Went to a few other stores that sell other brands and lastly went to Mac store and finally got my hands on one of these. Having seen some of the other smart watches besides the apple watch, the apple watch felt cheap in comparison. While I know the apple watch can do so much more, I just feel like a product should also look as sharp as it is capable. I don’t expect apple to make their products look like space ships, but I mean like…c’mon, at least make it feel like what it’s worth. I remember when apple products were simple yet elegant. Remember the iPod? The very first iPhone?? I understand that there are “apple worshipers” and I hope I don’t get attacked for ranting about this. But as an apple product user, I just want to get my money’s worth.
This Ultra 2 is made of aerospace-grade 5 titanium, most other smartwatches I’ve tried are just aluminum and plastic and don’t feel anywhere close to as premium when wearing. Design might be subjective, but when you're breaking down the level of precision and quality of the materials, it's hard to argue with the reality of the build quality despite how you perceive it. The only watch that comes close is the galaxy watch ultra which is a lower grade titanium. Appreciate you watching and commenting!
I don't know @, if I'm paying $800 on a smartwatch, apple should have at least gave it a decent battery life and decent strap. almost 30% of its composition is made of sapphire glass, to say that its using grade 5 titanium is nothing special. AND i wouldn't make such a big deal with the term "aviation grade" since apple definitely threw that term in there for marketing purposes only. I'm not looking to argue, its just that, as a long time user of apple's eco system, their current line-up of products just feels like a cash grab.
Mine will easily last me 2 full days and I can usually top it up nearly back to 100% by throwing it on the charger when I hop in the shower and get dressed each morning.
Never the same Color ...?? What about the iphone 7 in diamond black and the series 10 in black? I think it's the same color way. Btw i switched from the AW 7 45 mm to the AW Ultra 1. I got it uses for 400 Euro here. I think it's a good deal.
The MacBook is really bad for scratches I’m so freakin careful and still it marks. I wish they could somehow make a colored alloy rather than paint. So far I actually have nicked it on doorframes and desks and even at the gym and it hasn’t marked. So far so good but I’m expecting it 🤞🏻
The Apple website states “The Apple Watch Ultra 2 can be used for recreational scuba diving up to 40 meters (130 feet) deep, but it should not be used for diving deeper than that”
I actually prefer the pixel hardware and design, but there aren’t any apps I use that are supported on the Pixel Watch. On the other hand, the Apple Watch allows you to access almost all the apps on your iPhone, and it connects with my smart ring to display the metrics on my watch. Additionally, the Ultra model had waterproofing, not just water resistance, making it more durable and featuring sapphire glass. There are pros and cons to consider. I had the Pixel Watch 2 for a year and loved it, but I found myself rarely using it beyond setting nice faces and telling the time. Occasionally, I would ask Google Assistant for assistance. Also, you have to pay a monthly fee to access most of the health features. If you have an iPhone, I recommend getting the Apple Watch. If you have Android, I would either recommend the Galaxy Watch Ultra or the Pixel Watch 3.
In English, people often refer to objects they admire, like cars, boats, or even gadgets, as 'she'-it’s a tradition to add personality or affection. That’s why I used it for the Apple Watch thumbnail btw.
Freaking dorks talking about a watch like if its a newly wed girl or newborn child. The watch is ok, i mean its cool piece of tech, but honestly not much you can do with it unless your excersising alot. Its more for showing of than acctual usage.

That’s what the guy at Apple told me to do break it and get a new one
@@MattRobbcool I will try that
Thanks for your video, I am also upgrading from Watch 6 to Ultra (Black) two days ago. It is great. I love the watch.
have the series 4 and wife just ordered me this ultra 2, be here tomorrow
Early Christmas present?
@ late birthday and early Christmas lol..not complaining. Actually stoked 🔥
@TheNezfamily That’s awesome what strap are you getting?
@@MattRobb the one you reviewed
Sick dude!
should I get ultra 2? or wait for price to dip next year. currently using SE so far is fine but the battery is annoying
Mate can you upload a day in the life video with the iphone 16 pro max. It will be useful. I really love you day in the life videos. You really showcase everything. Each and every thing.
I held off because I’m going to Vancouver tomorrow so I’m gonna film it there

If the apple watch has never been connected to the iphone, is there a way to track it?

I got the black Ultra 2 I love it i love the band going to buy it too look great Thanks
It’s does have standard fast charging but not the even speedier fast charging that the series 10 has.
Some New about the problem with the blood oxygen? Because my S10 can’t do it 😢
Only in the US it does t work due to a lawsuit between some and another company everywhere what in the world it works
Killer video and one of the best reviews out of the 399 I’ve seen. Liked and subscribed!
Thank you I appreciate that so much!
Have an AW7, getting the Ultra 2 Satin Black soon
That’s awesome a worthy upgrade
Hey Matt, another fantastic video. Just a heads up, but your video chapters are messed up because its showing your gear list instead of the chapters for the Apple watch. You might want to remove the timestamps next to your gear list. Cheers buddy
Thanks for pointing it out I’ll fix it
Thanks mate. For accepting my request. If you are free you can upload. Otherwise no problem mate. But my support will be always for you.
I upgraded from a series 7 to the black ultra 2 and I couldn’t be any happier
That’s awesome glad you’re enjoying it! ⌚️
i from a series 4 and i love it
If you don’t mind me asking, I’m just curious what is the significance of wearing that black ring on your index finger?
It’s a fitness tracking ring and is best worn on the index finger. I did a couple videos on it. It’s called the ultra human air
@ thank you
Great video, thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed Julio!
What watch face is that?

I’ve used it for years since release and never had color fade on the black version
🖤 solid review
Thank you
🖤 also wearing a aw6, but getting the itch. I'll wait, maybe an awu3 is on the way! Just purchased an 16pro so $ spent.
I like the silver color better 😊
I see you have the outa ring. Have you tried athletic on your watch so just have all on one device ?
Yes I mainly use the ring for sleep tracking I find it better and I don’t need to keep charging it
Sleep mode is better or shutdown for longevity I am new Mac user
Honestly I would reboot atleast once a week but sleep mode is fine for a few days barely any power drain

Bought AW ULTRA-2 Black a week ago 👍
How are you liking it so far?
@ Brutal And also masculine
Yeah I like the size the regular Apple Watch looks like a toy on my wrist

Why not they add mini led 😭

How’s ur phone holding up caseless 😮 ??
I only use it caseless indoors when I’m out I put a case on so it’s in good condition
Thanks ❤

Had one and returned it before 28/30 days was up. Battery was terrible. Shame, loved the look and everything about it
That’s surprising it has the best battery life I’ve tried on any smartwatch I’m getting around 3 days before charging it
Mine will easily last me 2 full days and I can usually top it up nearly back to 100% by throwing it on the charger when I hop in the shower and get dressed each morning.
@justinbprice I do the same wake up slap it on my charger next to my bed I don’t shower with it on and then when I put it back on it’s charged
I like the black and would upgrade from my Ultra 1 but the lack of blood oxygen is holding me back. Apple needs to settle that dispute.
I’m in Canada so I have the blood oxygen option
@@MattRobb So it's a US only issue then. Didnt realize that.
Natural or Black? Scared about scratches nd quality??
Ive hit mine pretty hard and still have no marks yet
@ Tqsm I heard that titan looks more premium than Black. Please make a comparison video if possible.
Honestly I agree the titanium looks more premium but I still prefer the black it’s stealthy and less flashy which I actually like
@@MattRobb its totally preference Tqq.
We need black airpod now
Actually true that would be sick

the black version scratches very easy.

In my opinion the watch is the only wearable luxury item for a man and it should old school proper watch not some digital stuff.

Battery life is still a joke compared with Garmin.
The Google Pixel Watch 3 45MM is much better.

The black is the worst purchase decision, trading ruggedness for colour... That metal strap is going to scratch your MacBook to pieces.
Nah…. 👑 Garmin 👑
It has a new ass 9 chip?
🖤🖤🖤
Didn’t get the “she” in the thumbnail…care to elaborate?
My watch identifies as a she-she’s sleek, stylish, and always knows the time better than I do!
