I am the type that needs visual or hands on to grasp the concept instead of reading out of book. Thank you for spending your time to help mold us future nurses and get through nursing school.
I gotta admit I was reluctant to click on a video without fancy looking production and graphics, but after watchign the one on aminos I am hooked and feel prepared for my pharm test at noon.
I loved this video! I'm a nurse who is hoping to return to clinical nursing practice after many years away. Since there's no on-site RN refresher course near me, I created a plan including an online refresher supplemented by textbook readings (bought several new textbooks), review book readings and videos. The carbapenems were completely new to me (might be dating myself there) so I really needed a video that would provide some memory cues and this one was AMAZING for that! Also it contains some important things that were not highlighted or sometimes not even included in my other sources. I've subscribed and I'm looking forward to other videos from you! Also I run a Facebook group for nurses who want to come back to nursing practice and I'm going to recommend your videos in that group. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for breaking down the nursing pharmacology! I like to read about the classification first and then follow up with your videos to work it all out!
@@NurseMinder I changed 3 times because they couldn’t find what I have, I have mild urethritis symptoms (irritated urethra) and irritated all region in the pelvis I’m general, started with acute urethritis after doxycycline remained milks urethritis and also progressed to prostatitis and epididymitis
Carbapenems are beta lactamase inhibitors and mechanism of action is similar to penicillins and cephalosporins. They bind to the penicillin binding proteins and inhibit cell wall synthesis. Carbapenems do not work on ribosome function. Some antimicrobials that inhibit protein synthesis by binding to ribosomal subunits include macrolides, aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, and sulfonamides to name a few. But not carbapenems.
yes i find it hard, like so much to study in such a short term. this is just one aspect of one lecture pwp among like 8 pwp. thank you for your teachings, this is my second vid watching from ur channel.💡
