Another banger of a build, anyone saying "Oh but this is a PvP patch!" needs to read them again as it DOES AFFECT PvE CRITICALS!

I actually made this build less than a weak ago, I'd recommend not using parry's and just use the lightning slash ash of war, Axe talisman, Dagger talisman, Crimson Dagger & Dragon crest greatshield. Ruins bosses

for those who want a higher damage version of this at lower level, flame art and faith scaling is way better than heavy, just go half and half on faith and strength, use ritual sword, crit tali, fire scorpion charm, and a 4th of your choice, then use parry, or cragblade to get your stance breaks, and fire tear in your physick to get the best crit dmg. use commanders standard and blood boil arromatic, or golden vow as your damage buffs. This guys build is great and all, but hes stupid overlevelled. U can kill malenia in 5 total parries at level 120 with the one I described using golden parry, and looping in some charged attacks imbetween stance breaks.
thanks for the building mate. as a new ER player I'm loving it, dispite all the AoW, consumables and gear missing! Its a wip. I have a doubt however, when applying AoW to the weaps and shield, what should I pick? The best phys dmg regarding weap or just standard all ?
Really cool build concept imma use this as a template for my Dragonslayer cosplay.
This Build is great beause you can get the majority pretty early. If you want to maximize the crit build, then you should check out the mathematically correct stance break/crit build from Syrobe.
Its a bit more complicated though.

Great video,i just started to play elden ring and wanted to go for a strenght/crit build.I wish this video had a lvl 50 gear suggestion,a lvl 100 and lvl 150. I like the videos when ppl show stats and build for early game,mid game and lategame.Cheers
Level 50.... hmmm, get just enough strength to carry the weapon, use maybe the godrick soldier armor for now, pump endurance to get middle weight. Probably don't have a lot of accessories or the slots, so grab the axe talisman and whatever erdtree's favor. Use lighting slash is you can make it heavy, if you don't have that yet wildstrikes is always good. Jump attacks are good and try to learn how to roll underneath your opponents attacks to get some sweet sweet backstabbing action
Warcry ash of war also works great on that one. Yeah I wouldn't go any higher than needed on str since you probably will "trade" (get hit while killing stuff) I recommend pumping up your health and stamina. Also if you want to keep the axe vibe but have trouble with your weight go for the highland axe + shield until you can wear decent armor with the executioner great axe. Highland axe also benefits quite well of strength and war cry plus it's crits are decent enough.

Hey Travis. I have to say of all the builds this has given me one of the best experiences. You can rely on it to hit hard but also, it gives a really nice balance when keeping this exciting, especially when you start parrying, feels really rewarding
This weapon was a beast in dark souls 3. Did 3 play throughs with it
square off and ice spear are both insane at stance breaking.
Is this build better than the last build you posted with executioners blade??
I think carian retaliation is better than golden parry. Also i will go with axe talisman vs bullgoat. And also with the full banished knight set sonce its available very early. But this reference is also much the same as the one im thinking of making

So I use this but I use tree sentinel armour and my pot head with this give me 107 poise and I have med load still I have been able to test this on bosses yet

You can go beyond and infinite with the R2 attacks buffed with Axe Talisman if you slap Barbaric Roar + Highland Axe + Roar medalion in this bad boy. Heavy Damage goes Brrrrrrr

Build looks fun. I might try it as I haven’t used a build with a shield. Would you say this setup is better in this patch than your storm cleaver build which I haven’t stopped using?
Mate, so I haven’t used a shield at all until recently and I have to say I love using them now!! This build will give you more defensive options, they are both good builds thanks to patch 1.10. So it would come down to your play style and if you wanted to try something new :)

Not so much a "crit build" as a "turtle build" based around counters. But sure seemed effective.

Could you just as easily use the Lordsworn’s Greatsword with either Impaling Thrust, Giant Hunt or Piercing Fang as it also has a crit bonus.
Lordsworn will do way less damage than Executioners Great Axe. Crit Bonus is only 110 vs 115 for Exec GA. And since the Exec GA does more base damage and has better heavy scaling (A scaling for Exec GA vs B scaling for Lordsworn GS) it will Crush the Lordsworn GS. And cragblade gives you more poise damage for stance breaking so it’s optimal for this build.
The axe dose the biggest crits in the game because of it's base dmg
@@skipjacks85 If you want to go the minmax route, you'd ditch the swords and axes altogether for a greathammer for more stance breaking and have misericorde on swap for more crit.
The lordsworn's greatsword is not that far off from the executioner's axe performance to be anything but a style choice.
@@zyxyx6754 absolutely false. you couldn’t be more incorrect. Executioner’s Great Axe does the most Crit damage in the game. It actually blows the Misericorde away because the base damage is so much higher. And w/ Cragblade you’re going to get a zillion poise breaks. Technically you will get more poise damage w/ Cragblade on a Greathammer but you will get way way more crit damage w/ Executioner’s Great Axe because of the high base damage and crit modifier of 115...
Conclusion: Executioner’s Great Axe w/ Cragblade will net more damage than ANY Greathammer w/ Cragblade or Greathammer/Misericorde hard swap.
*And that bit about the Lordsworn Greatsword being a style choice when in reality it’s not even in the same stratosphere as the Executioner’s is so asinine it’s not worthy of a rebuttal.

Tried this at NG+6 in Farum Azula vs the Banished Knights. Didn’t break their stance once😮

isn't swapping to miserecorde better for that extra crit dmg?
But it got lower base damage making the axe got better total crit damage

Could use kite shield or any of the heater shields. Anything with 100% physical damage negation

This does indeed look absolutely smashing, but why not a great shield? Also, I'd still argue that the Star Fists or Iron Balls are absolute stance breaking monsters! 😂💪
Ha, yeah those bad boys wreck. Wanted something fresh load out-wise. Having so much fun with this. Love feeling the confidence to parry, or at least, learn parrying. Malenia is surprisingly easy to parry
For Higher NG+ what stats do you recommend to level up mainly?
Vigor for sure. Maybe a little in Mind for more buffing before chugging flask and more Endurance to keep the stamina going :)

She can be really annoying with ignoring stance damage, but I’ve found that golden parry as well as guard counters makes her so easy!!!

How come you have golden vow?it requires 25 faith and in your begining of video you dont have that many points into fight?
The incantation costs 25 Faith. This build uses the Golden Vow ‘Ash of War’ - it costs less faith :)

The amount of poise you have is inconsequential for this build. Stupid to waste a talisman slot and all that weight to hit 101 poise. 51 poise is enough. And in all honesty it’s prob better to just two hand the Exec Great Axe for charged heavies and roll when necessary. Plus the two hand bonus for additional damage and poise damage. Trade out Bull goat for Ritual Sword Talisman for 10% more damage.

Hey man kinda lame to act like you made this build when its just a stolen and worse version of my build which is the original made 2 weeks ago. You also did this with multiple other builds right after I upload a video about them. If it was just One time i wouldnt care as much but to put out almost the exact same build as me in succession is just low.
Hey mate. Literally never seen your videos or channel. My community and I come up with builds ourselves based on the latest patches and what we think is fun/effective. No idea what builds you upload. Genuinely.
If you still don’t believe me, we could agree to block each other. That way you can be sure I have no interest in your channel and I can keep making builds without being accused of plagiarism 👍
It's almost as if, in a game with limited weapons there is only a select few that excel at a single task so most builds feature something similar, just because you thought of something first doesn't mean you own it and people can't make something like it
@@axt_4254 yeah I completely agree, the best part of getting into build videos is the community side where we come up with them, usually on Discord/Streams/Members sessions. It’s sad that people can be so accusing. Tbh I think this person is just trying to piggy back on my vids to generate buzz for their channel.
Even if we assume you're right, and AshenOne stole your build, there is no way to prove that he actually did it, which I think at that point, it's a waste of time to even argue. Best case scenario, you'll need to read annoyed comments from the usual demographic of the channel, and in the worst case, it really was a coincidence that you made up the same build in close proximity, which means you're throwing unjust accusations and make yourself look bad.
