That dirt removal got the 6 HP back 😊. I have the K&N in my 2010 Cayman S and recommend the BMC, only because it goes in easier. The K&N has a clamp that is a PITA to install it to the flange in the airbox, as it's a tight fit and the clamp is a joy to tighten with everything being oiled, along with it was hot and humid at the installation time; 11 months of summer (Florida).

This is actually really good vice. I have the K&N on my Cayman S and the BMC on my Spyder... the BMC was WAY easier to install vs the K&N. And yes, leaving the filter in the sun to warm up helps a lot too. Thanks for the feedback!!

I tried the BMC filter in my .2 S. I couldn't hear any difference in induction noise, so put a new standard paper filter back in. It's hard to be 100% if these oiled filters can cause issues. Maybe not - I'd take the risk if it made the car sound great. But it doesn't. So, it's zero reward for hard to fully exclude risk.
