Live 1995-01-27 - Arnhem, Netherlands, Luxor Live "Secret Gig"

Mike was the only person who could Rock a mullet in 1995.
That seventh seal has not been broken yet .. but we are very dam close
I've been known to give the "Sammy era" a hard time, but THAT's a band hitting on all cylinders. Wow.
I've seen vh during f.. u. c . kv tour. And I Sammy co headlining with DLR.
I can’t imagine seeing a show this good and loud in a small club, the energy would be incredible.
Yeah, most of Sammy stuff is uninspiring, but this is awesome. Although he was almost gone at this point.
wow...seeing these boys in a tiny club would melt my face off!! and my neck would hurt for a week!!!!
EVH is King!
First note from Ed gives goose bumps
Mike was note for note with Ed.Kick ass bassist
One of my favorite era’s for Mike. I have Ampeg & a Stingray because of it.
This song still give me goose bumps
What an excellent array of Van Halen. This channel rocks.
M.A. The most underrated bassist 😭
Awesome!
Badass on all cylinders right there
Legend
Great epic ty
wish i was in that crowd
Hay look people are enjoying the concert rather than getting the whole thing on there cell phones.
WoW its actual live audio! very unusual to hear real honesty from van halen.
not unusual at all, live right here right now was the only thing that was supposedly doctored up in the studio
Bands last ever proper tour. Poor old Sam getting knifed in the back by the bands greedy manager who wanted every last cent of Eddie van moneymaker. Eddie still human, too.
What a clean recording. I don’t believe it’s a home camera or cell. The picture yes. The sound?
It was broadcasted completely on Dutch national radio, during a program called Countdown Cafe. Wich was somehow related to Countdown, Europe’s no1 rockshow.
The DJ Alfred Lagarde was related to the inner circle of Eddie and Alex from the late70s.
And the 2 brothers always felt connected to the country there were born.
Back to the sound, that broadcast is edited with the video.
Hitting on all cylinders here. Wish they would have made another album after Balance/Humans Being with Sammy. EVH’s guitar tone at this time was other worldly. Mike sounding great. Al on fire, and a Sammy could sing it all. Shame it didn’t continue. Loved early Dave albums but he became a side show song and dance man, just not at all my thing
Van fucking Halen right there.
0:30-0:33 Mike and Ed synced
Nasty!!!
In my opinion, Judgement Day should’ve been on Balance, and Amsterdam should’ve been on Carnal Knowledge. Both great songs, but thematically Amsterdam is a little out of place compared with the rest of the record.
