The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
@IntensiveCare define regulate. You are missing the point.
You said it: 'A well regulated Militia'...well these groups are NOT well regulated. Also, the commas are placed in this statement for a literal purpose, to separate the ideas, to communicate support for the previous statements before the commas but are NOT the same or an extension of those previous statements. 'the right of the people to keep and bear arms' is supporting an individual's right to keep and bear arms, (comma!) to keep themselves free whether in a group that is formed to protect a free state or separate from that group. However, intimidation on public property IS ILLEGAL. (period!)

Dont let Biden take our gun rights
@@sue_downing555 Then stop doing mass murders.
@@janinewetzler5037you're misreading the law. The law is saying that because a well-regulated militia is necessary for the protection of communities, the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. The law doesn't say that the militia actually has to be well-regulated for them to have the right to bear arms. The right to bear arms is there because a well-regulated militia is necessary, but that doesn't preclude their being less well-regulated ones.
Also, the way that the authors of that amendment were using the term "regulated" isn't necessarily the way it is colloquially used today.
