How can you criticize things like Islam saying it is evil and outdated but you cant criticize an amendment made hundreds of years ago? Take away the guns and americas gun crime problem will end.
R R uhhhh first of all I never said anything about Islam being an evil religion, you can practice what ever you want in America and I support that. What I don’t support is people like you who are trying to take guns away without even knowing what the amendment is really about. It was mainly created to protect ourselves from an oppressive government, therefor allowing for people to organize and unite against a corrupt and tyrannical state. Plus there are plenty of reasons why taking away guns from law abiding citizens is a bad thing. Think logically. If criminals are going to commit crimes they are going to do it on the most efficient way possible through the use of GUNS whether they be illegal or not and taking away that right leaves us vulnerable. @@85tillinfinity37 That's what happened anyway, the trampling. A lot of people were injured by others in the panic to get out. All I know is that when I've spent a lot of time in a darkened area, suddenly turning on the lights makes it harder to see for a few seconds until my eyes adjust. Dunno if the shooter had the same problem, but if so, once his vision adjusted he had a well lit target area to see where people were going. With the lights out he would've had to guess where people were, as they didn't say anything about him having night vision goggles. Don't get me wrong, I'm *not* saying the person who turned the lights on meant to make things easier for the shooter. I'm sure he/she did it because they thought like you, to help people escape. It is strange. My wife has gone to every Jason concert with our daughter for the previous 7 or 8 years prior to this particular concert, each time he got even remotely close. This one time his concert was just not possible. We were so shocked at such a tragic thing could happen at a Jason concert, and even more terrified that had she been able to go, they would have been there. Now when something comes up and we are not able to do something, this puts things into perspective. You just never know how, or why things unfold the way they do. I can remember being in a TGI Fridays back in the day when they were open, and used to do the NTN trivia thing nationwide. We always went there to eat and play a bit. One night we went, after we ate, we found out the trivia thing was down. So we left. That night on the 10pm news there was a story of a gunman going into the place and shooting randomly. Based on when it happened, we couldn't have been gone for more than 15 minutes when it happened. So you just never know why things unfold the way they do.
I have a similar story but related to 9/11. My uncle was a firefighter in Engine 54 in NYC. Earlier in 2001 he had gotten into a car wreck which required surgery and rehab on one of his legs, so he was put on light duty in Division 1. On the day of the attack he was at home in Staten Island starting his vacation leave and getting ready to fly out the next day to visit his parents in Florida. He was outside in his backyard studying for his upcoming captains exam when he learned of the attack. Weeks later he learned that everyone working E-54 that day was killed. “When they say god works in mysterious ways, I then understood why I was in that car wreck”. He just retired a few weeks back, October 2022, as a Battalion Chief. 37 years as a firefighter and thankful he’s still around.

I'll never forget being in 7th grade living in my home in Seattle, WA, waking up at 7:00 a.m. on October 2nd, 2017, and heading to the living room to get my phone. When I turned on my screen, I only saw one notification. A single headline: LAS VEGAS MASSACRE - At least 50 dead, 200 more injured I know, that doesn't sound so traumatizing since I wasn't actually there but given that I was just in Las Vegas earlier that summer, it felt slightly closer to home. When I went to Vegas again the following summer, my grandma warned me not to aim my laser pointer at the city, which we had a clear view of from our resort near North Las Vegas. She said that the shooter had laser pointers on his guns and if you aimed it at the city, it could really scare some of the people who were there that night. That was the day I think I really understood what trauma meant and what it does to people, it's not something you can just get over after a few days. Not all scars are on your skin, some are lying right there on the top of your mind. My condolences go out to all of the families who suffered losses on such a tragic day.

@@shoazdon7000 I could be conflating two incidents, but from what I remember, there was a nanny on the 32nd floor that had triggered a room alarm, so a security guard was notified. The guard was doing nighttime rounds and was on either the 31st or 33rd floor and took the stairs down to try and access the 32nd floor but Paddock had put a doorjam on the stairway exit door. He made a call to maintenance to fix what he thought was just a jammed door, and got on the elevator to get to the 32nd floor. When he got out, he started to go to the nanny's room but Paddock heard the elevator and started shooting down the hallway at the guard. The nanny had been across the hall speaking to her charge's parents and got stuck there when the shooting started. The baby was asleep across the hall and reunited with the family once they were able to evacuate the floor.

A friend and his family of 6 who was there heard gunshots and looked to hit right, and when he turned back to ask the guy next to him what’s going on, the guy was already dead with a huge hole in his face. He struggled to find his whole family amidst all this but luckily they all met back up in there truck where they saved 18 other wounded people and went back 2 more times and over packed their truck just to save people. I’ll never forget my friend just balling telling me this.
It's so strange to see things like some guy casually having a drink whilst a couple of meters away someone is giving chest compressions. People are panicking and fleeing in some areas, and other areas people are casually smoking and loitering. That's the reality you don't see in movies. The confusion and mostly disbelief at what is happening. I would probably have thought it was fireworks at first too.

I feel like the only way that could’ve been asked so casually is if she wasn’t old enough to quite understand exactly how serious and how likely this was to happen, to understand the mass amount of people at risk and why, just sitting there asking and begging “why, this can’t be happening, what’s going on, I’m ready to wake up from this dream now” the ultimate most terrifying form of shock to where to immediately feel out of body and you’r brain doesn’t let you comprehend it.

They commit lobbying in order to continue making money and profiting off of making armory. Since the U.S is a capitalist country, large corporations have the power to control their competition and polices that negatively impact their business such as gun restrictions. Most people have no idea this happens/ are distracted by their own lives or people feel hopeless because they feel like they have no control over the government. And it’s not just black and white like I have presented it here, there are civilians that work for these companies because they need to work in order to make a living. The less money those companies make the more people they lay off.

He guessed pretty good with 900 shots but it was a little closer to 1,000! There was no 100 round clips in the room, but each burst of gun fire was about 100 shots!

Or maybe it gave them visibility to escape. Just imagine people tripping over bodies and getting trampled by those trying to flee. When these situations happen, people will literally step on you to save themselves.

LAS VEGAS MASSACRE - At least 50 dead, 200 more injured
I know, that doesn't sound so traumatizing since I wasn't actually there but given that I was just in Las Vegas earlier that summer, it felt slightly closer to home. I live in las vegas. I am 12 years old now. When this massacre happend, I was uninformed of this event. I heard no gunshots because I lived in north las vegas. my family was completly asleep at the time. I started hearing tons of sirens and woke up. Police cars and firefighters and the ambulance was zooming to the scene. Even more ambulance cars. I knew what happened even if I was at a young age to fully understand. Rest in piece for the people who died in the tragedy. Rest in peace.
God bless you
It's sickening me when I watch this even almost 3 years later
I'll watch this later, but:
0:56 "why are there people laying on the ground?"
My first reaction was "...You know why."
The innocence that was asked with kicked me in the gut.
No, because ground doesn't protect you from the bullets. It was a legitimate question.

@@gary1642 what you think is literally insane. It’s companies that practically own the government here in the U.S..
I understand how lobbying works in the US. That explains why Israel can murder in the thousands with impunity. I don't for one second believe big business is the issue when it comes to guns. You ask what I think is insane? Mass shooting after mass shooting and there is no desire to change among Americans. Guns are the problem so more guns are the answer? That's insane.
I am literally here 😢

Have none of these people ever been to an outdoor gun range? Crazy to think how clueless that crowd was that night. I would have been out after the first few shots.
I live in Ireland there aren’t many guns once I was outside & there was a shooting this guy got shot literally in front of me I hid I wasn’t sure it was bullets I wasn’t sure if it was bomb, bullets, fireworks it’s a very confusing scary situation I froze up like most people do when people don’t know what’s happening they usually just freeze up!

cat99 I know, it’s there job. They risk their life’s everyday and don’t get paid enough for doing that! It’s weird innit,
One of the officers who was shot (lived) was on their first day as a police officer,
Yep, imagine trying to close in on a guu who's been raining bullet for the past 15minutes. I wouldn't have the balls to do it.
They....they didn't do anything. They have an over inflated budget and are militarized and still can't stop mass shooters. They are only good at shooting unarmed people. Worthless

The cab driver has the biggest pair in Vegas .
Driving around calmly, with no panic, while clearly registering gunfire is unbelievable .
Great coverage, but still lacks the words most of the media avoided, this was a terrorist attack.
Yep, same terrorists at Times Sq., San Bernardino, Orlando, Dallas Cop shooting, Houston, Paris, Boston, Roanoak, Waco, Okla. City, Flt, 800, WTC 93, 9/11, Manchester, Winchester Bridge, London Bridge, Sandy Hook, etc etc etc. and 17th yr at war with the planet's 5th poorest country. No question: Terrorists
for it to be terrorism it needs to have a political motive, we don't know the motive.
There's no global agreement on the definition of terrorism. A crazy person gunning down a huge amount of people causes a lot of terror, and I accept it as terrorism.
The Global Terrorism Database used to define "Terrorism". They no longer provide a definition and they do not include "state sponsored terrorism", consequently all these events must be interpreted as non-state.
He has to be brown for it to be terrorism.
This is the best piece of journalism iv seen in a long time. All the facts possible are given to me in full detail and a very accurate description on how everything happen. There’s no story changing or politics put in to it which is great.
Anthony I hate to tell you this but there are lots of people who aren’t journalists & don’t get paid for what they did, but they do a way better job than this! No look into the inventory of the room, such as guns magazines (clips) that was used! This guy acts like he only used one gun and had trouble at the end of the shooting with that gun! He guessed pretty good with 900 shots but it was a little closer to 1,000! There was no 100 round clips in the room, but each burst of gun fire was about 100 shots!
3:58 the guy casually having a drink while a massacre is happening. That’s the real MVP

Seeing the images of his suite, I wonder if the initial single shots were him destroying the window?
Good point, I thought the same thing. I'm sure those windows are strong. If you're not worried about shooting indiscriminate shots - that's certainly the easiest way to remove glass.
That’s a great idea. Those windows are a LOT stronger than people realize and they weren’t tempered so maybe you’re right. Good point
Becuase you hear the same bullets zip past people in the crowd. There is footage from within the crowd and those single shots fly meters away. My point is he'd have to be aiming at the crowd whilst shouting out the windows, as opposed to just aimless popping the window and then taking aim at the crowd
If you look at the crime scene photos there is a small yellow hammer on the floor which is believed to have been used to knock the windows out
10:35 If you look in between the purple pillar and the white, orange, and purple curtain, you'll see the yellow handle of the hammer.
it also breaks my heart when you can hear the screams right after certain gunshots, especially when the bullets sound like they've made contact.
The scariest part is not knowing where or when the next person will strike. I won’t go anywhere I can’t carry.
