- The work that joins the frame to the body is called "marriage".
It is a very delicate operation and everything must be in place and planned first.
Thomas reveals some secrets of this operation.

I wish this was about half an hour longer 😁
As a fabricator welder, I'd love to see the production of the subframe and how you integrate that into the body structure.
Absolutely top engineering… really amazing‼️❤️
The considerateness to details shows your passion for perfection. Unicat is one ultimate human treasure. Because if it didn’t exist, no any other brands can fill its position. So carry on and be better. I will work harder to buy one.
That was indeed a big moment for my Unimog build! back when I done that job I had a cheap workshop with portal cranes. So before the engine was running i restored the shelter and placed it. It was nice to pick it up with the crane and install it with no help. It is exactly the same how you do it on a different scale.
Thank you for walking us from the build from the truck to the boday. That was very informative
Once I could afford it, I'll definitely order with you guys. The level of detail is important.
Thank you, so true, it´s all about the details ...
I want it in my country money value is so lower. It about 7 cores🙂😞😞
It is not you who should thank, it is we who get this opportunity to look at these wonderful creations you make.Regards Martin
Thanks a lot, I appreciate your view on this, Thomas, UNICAT.
There is no wonder why you good folks at Unicat are industries leader in Expedition vehicles.....I wish I could get a new 6x6 MAN chasses in the USA. I love all your video's please keep them coming I have learned so much from them.
Hi Daniel, we are using older Mercedes chassis with V8 or even V10 engines for the U.S., they are amazing they were build when I was in my 30th, great stuff, even today !
Thank you for sharing this video.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Very interesting video looking Forward for another excellent video
thank you for the recent uploads Thomas.. It has been awesome to see new content coming from such an iconic company.
Hi Garrett and hi to all who enjoy and find the videos helpful. We will contiue to share such information, I know that there are many people who build their own vehicle and it´s a pleasure to support you a bit.
See you out there one day .....
just wish you guys will make a full video about the full production of an experdition vehicle like this. nice video. unicut quality and the best
Will do so - before I retire - and travel longtime :-))
Sempre big... Complimenti. 🍻
Very useful to understand how you make this connection. Once again, you are clearly the leader in this space-based on your video.
Thanks so much
Unicat is the best....
Fantastic, an engineering marvel
Big like
Tolle Arbeit!
Von allen mir bekannten Aufbaufirmen seid ihr für mich die Besten!
Thanks to you for watching the video.
I simply loved this video and like all of the Unicat’s videos the quality of the machines produced are in such level that it could only be “Made in Germany”… I will start saving for when retire sell my Hymer motorhome and buy one of these… Cheers
We thank you much, you are great 🙂

@@UNICATexpeditionvehicles hi there. How are you. Would please send us your mobile number. Thank you
Quanto amore!!❤️❤️❤️
I agree with Andy C, please revisit this subject in a Unicat Live if you can Thomas! This tipic definitely requires a full session. It's hard to understand how the metallic brackets for the subframe are securely integrated into the structure of the box, GRP being a much softer material
Wow 👍👍👍👍
I really like it. Congratulations, the vehicles are fantastics. I see the preference for MAN trucks. Is better for expedition vehicles?
I live in Brazil, here don´t have MAN. The brands from Germany here are Mercedes and Volkswagen, this last made just small and medium trucks, without MAN brand. Both are excellent, but just Mercedes has all terrain option.
I totally agree. I would love to see a making of the box with subframe video!!! Is there a speckle shape of steel like a U that is encapsulated in the insulation? Do they worry about a thermal break? How can the door be supported where it drops down does that wreck the strength on that side!? Doe the internal subframe have two cross members for each subframe attachment point or just one that are hidden? How over engineered is that hidden frame to keep the integrity of the box would love love the see in there! open the box! Open the box!
We are making a video where we explain how the body is built, the filming has already been done, we await editing, perhaps next month.
I've read probably every single spec sheet for Unicat rigs and always wondered how the 3-point connection is done.
Just amazing.

I am Suharto from Indonesia, excited . I interest buy this truck. Please explain me. Thank you
Bro can we go cab via diver cab
The body should be able to be lifted and switched, so you can use the track for other purposes while not on an expedition. Pretty please. :-)
Unicat, innovates, then the others copy.
Realy true, but we see t relaxed as long as t´s a real copy - you can´t overtake anyone if you follow his footsteps .. the problem is that most "copies" simplify our initial design and sometimes it just misses the goal, but sometimes, it even becomes dangerous as the design was not understood and changed to make it cheaper in production.Does anyone think we make things more complicated ( and expensive ) than necessary ?????
I don't know what is a blue tank.
terrain sec jamais mouillé
Rear box is made up of steel or aluminium??
Aluminium
@@UNICATexpeditionvehicles whole body or just sides?? Can you please make videos on it
@@KnowRealIndia9124 They are completely in aluminum, designed by us according to your needs.
@@UNICATexpeditionvehicles I m from planning to build expedition like a truck on 14ft bed , so I asked thank you.....if possible please make video on how it made
Do you mean that even the internal subframe hidden in the floor is aluminum? I thought that the big brackets and swivel mounts were galvanized steel..?
Sometimes, you will build my vehicle, but Mercedes only
Je veux une cinquantaine blindés pour aller en safari de noce moi et Sophie combien ça coûte ?👍🎩❤💂💂💂💂
