Swhacker and Tenpoint is a great combo for quick and easy tracking jobs! Couple tips for practice - 1 - Rail lube on the bolts before you begin 2- rinehart cube targets work well 3- lumenok arrow puller - gets a better grip and avoids blisters if they’re stuck tight
Do yourself a favor and save up for a Spider target ( field points only ) I have the Vapor 470 and can pull bolts out with two fingers. They are heavy but awesome!
@@nhwhitetail4130 I just commented the exact same thing. 😂 The Spyder No Speed Limit targets are absolutely fantastic. But no one should be sighting in with broad heads. Use field tips to get sighted in, then, as you stated, take a few shots with the broadheads you’ll be using in the field. Personally, I purchased two Block targets, and put one behind the other, and found it works great at stopping the bolts with broad heads on them.
I've caught many deers using Swhacker's with my xbow, and they work the best of any expandable I've ever used! Best choice, in my opinion. Also, I prefer the 18:1 Rhino target for my xbow and have found that most "xbow targets" are way too hard to pull out the bolt too, and I think are just another selling point, and really most any regular archery target I've found work just fine to stop a xbow bolt. Good luck catchin' deers this season!
I moved to heavier arrows/broadheads last year. It slows the speeds a touch, but shooting feels smoother. I'm sure some of that feel comes from quieting the bow down a touch. I am around 560 grains now.
Now you are starting to talk my favorite hunting tools. I haven’t gone crossbow yet. Still slinging with a Bowtech SR6. These bows have gotten so much better to draw. Love taking deer in close.
Get the Spyder No Speed Limit target. Don’t use broadheads on it this target, use your field tips. Get it sighted in with field tips, not broadheads! Then use TenPoints EVO-X Center Punch broadheads on your bolts. They fly exactly the same as your field tips do. Get a “COUPLE” Block targets and put one behind the other and that will stop the bolts with broad heads on them.
Great video, WTW. I love using the Swacher broadheads. I also use the practice tip for small game hunting all the way up to taking turkeys. Again love the video.
Best broadheads for compound bow and crossbow are slick tricks, the most deadly and accurate broadheads in the industry. They fly like your field points.
I have the exact same deer target….and yes its hard to get crossbow bolts out…even compound arrows. I use an arrow puller. That crossbow is freaking sweet…..but illegal here for hunting in NY…..not wide enough. I use the Rage Hybrids…cut on contact with 2 1/2 in mechanical blades. Leaves a NASTY hole. But for years Ive also used Toxic broadheads….lots of blood. I know season is getting close…so Good luck Brother!!! Our season starts Oct 1st.
Take and rub some bar soap on the shaft of that bolt and it makes it easier to pull out. I have the same issue with every crossbow target I have tried, the soap helps make them not stick as bad.
Get you a arrow puller for shooting 3d competition...we take a bar of Irish spring soap and rub on the front 6-8" of our 3d arrows and it makes them come out a ton easier..I think the arrow grabber will help you tremendously will help to keep from breaking arrows
Delta McKenzie Targets Wedgie Bag Archery Target. Was able to pull bolt out with two fingers. Found out the hard way that it is stuffed with scrap cloth, which makes removing arrows easy. The hard way is found out what was in it is I backed my truck over it and it came apart and wrapped around my drive shaft and differential, it took 2hours to cut all that off. Got a lot of rags now.
I have a ten point crossbow as well. Mine is a Shadow NXT. I have The Block for a target but haven’t used my crossbow on it. I think I’ll shoot it tomorrow.
I knew when you said in beginning of video you were going to shoot a deer target that you were going to have a hell of a time pulling bolt out of deer target a bag is way better and you can shoot pratice broadhead heads in it and if your favorite broadhead doesn't come with practice tip get a piece of fastflight string and tie your broadhead closed so it doesn't open hitting your bag and doing more damage to bag and you can pull bolt out easily Good luck.
Awesome crossbow!. You touched on inspecting carbon arrows/bolts prior to shooting them. I have been competing in archery tournaments since i was a little kid. Id recommended flexing your arrows after shooting them, if they make any cracking noises DONT SHOOT THEM. I was shooting next to a friend about 15 years ago, and while i was at full draw, she released an arrow, and i heard her let out a yelp. I let down and checked on her....her arrow had exploded upon release, and the back half of the arrow went into the base of her wrist, and was coming out of her thumb!. She had to have surgery to remove a ton ( i believe she said it was 200+ ) of carbon fibers from her hand. My memory sucks, but i can still remember that like it was yesterday.
There's a bolt/arrow pulling tool that is really cheap and it gives you a bigger surface to grab on to. Most bow manufacturers have a version of their own and Walmart even carries some online.
Great review thanks!!! I just had mine delivered today have a question for ya My stealth 450 came with carbon elete 400 bolts how about center punch 20in bolts good decision or not? I also love to hunt and you seem to have the kind of stuff I'm interested in.
Hey there Who Tee, I know it's not crossbow related but how about an accuracy follow up on that Keltec CMR30? Thinking of buying one and would like a real accuracy evaluation. You're as real as they come so I'd trust your video. Thanks a bunch.
Hey man make sure them broad heads don’t come open in flight them you are using come open on my raven shooting 442 fps so just be careful the tenpoint 450 is gonna run closer to 425 with the 150gr
spyderweb targets are best for high speed bows, they are field point only though. for stopping my practice broadheads that have unsharp things that stick out like the swhacker i just use a carboard box packed tight with rags/cloth, then just spin it unthreaded and dig the practice head out. im not spending another 150 just to confirm my practice heads then probably have them nearly stuck in anyway
Can’t use those cheap targets on that horse power You will find out real fast 😂 it’s a different Beast Iron man will stop it, I’ve seen them shoot clean thru, those deer targets, like shit thru a Goose, unreal power Those head are awesome spot on well out to 100:yrds! The others will open prematurely, from launching power alone,I’d stay away from ,their not designed for those launch speeds, just sayin

Try to the sevr 150grain 2" or the swat xbow mag cp mag it blows a 2" x 1 3/4 " hole like 3.75" of cut.
Real nice looking crossbow and thanks for the shout out!!!👍

Don't worry about changing your target. Spray your arrow shafts with silicon oil. Makes them a lot easier to pull.
I actually use ceramic spray for auto paint and it works exceptionally

Try waxing your arrows, should help with getting them out.

I need to get back into bow hunting
Get the Spyder No Speed Limit target. Don’t use broadheads on it this target, use your field tips. Get it sighted in with field tips, not broadheads! i really wanted the stealth 450 but bank account said no so i settled for the viper 430 great crossbow
Wax the bolt and guide rail waxed bolts are easier to pull out
Fancy... just got a w8cked ridge raider 400 de-cock.
Still a fantastic bow I own a 450 and just ordered a 515
Great video, WTW.

Thanks for watching!
I believe it's the heat generated by the bolt and it glues into the target. I've had good luck waxing the bolt. Seems to help.

Bad ass crossbow! Thanks for another banger who tee who!
spiderweb no speed limit targets are perfect for that speed. They are also easy to get the bolt out.
Dude, that is one sweet crossbow!
Ten point makes amazing xbows! I upgraded from a Barnett to the ten point s440
Sweeeeet
You are going to love the carnage of the 150 gr Broadhead
That’s a nice cross bow.
Pretty sweet
Wow. Here... we all get air lead, string rockets, and pow pow's.
I do it different I use a bench or table with bags to get it as steady and stable as possible and I use a different type of target 🎯 also.
Take and rub some bar soap on the shaft of that bolt and it makes it easier to pull out. I have the same issue with every crossbow target I have tried, the soap helps make them not stick as bad.
If you ever get the itch to try a fixed blade broadhead I recommend exodus broadheads. Caught a few deer last season with them 👍

Thank you for sharing another great video 👍
Thanks for watching
Also , ive seen Alot if does & fawns in urban & rural Appalachians last few weeks so bucks been busy !
👍Thanks for sharing.
Love it! 😀
Bulldog targets are the best!

Have a good weekend buddy
You too!

Who wants to play William Tell, I've got some apples? This crossbow looks like fun 😰

I missed premier for wife's Bday , she is officially old...lol. ive never shot a crossbow but did archery in summer camp as a youngin...
Happy birthday to the wife!
Very nice! 😎👍
Try a spyder web for xbows. Pull arrow out with a child of 10 years old and never had a pass thru using my Ravin 20 at any yardage.
Wow
Nice!

Ouch
I'm also using Swhackers. Be prepared for some gnarly exit wounds.
That bucks name should be "Buck fifty" lol cause you paid a buck fifty ...I'm thinking on the tenpoint flatline w a garmin zero... nice vid new sub.
Thanks for watching
try the g5 mega meat they r so deadly. What ever u hit with a mega meat it destroys everything in the path.
I use the crossbow rated "Block"
I have had a Barnett Ghost 410 for a few years and thought “IT” was smoking fast. 😂😂

how long are the bolts
Cool video 📹 😎 🙏👍
Thank you 👍
Iron man targets work really well.
How well does that scope work when you move out to 30 and 40 yards? Im an old school flinger and only know about pins lol.
Same concept as pins. The dots make you hold higher just like a pin would. I shot a buck at 55 yards using the scope. Works good
I use one of those big yellow targets from Walmart behind my deer target. It doesn't go straight through.

I just used thr ones that came with mine
You didn’t cover shooting at longer distances and adjusting the speed ring on the scope!
When your bolts cant release as easily, put a thin coat of oil on the bolt shaft. Should make the bolt slide out easily.

Cmr30 wasn't mine. Was borrowed. Don't have it anymore to use
You got to use arrow snot to help with the arrow removal.
Try some Rage Hypodermic crossbow broadheads
Hey man make sure them broad heads don’t come open in flight them you are using come open on my raven shooting 442 fps so just be careful the tenpoint 450 is gonna run closer to 425 with the 150gr
Put on a second band.
I also consider myself stronger than the average dude.😂
😆😆😆
I use bow string wax or olive oil on my shafts and the bolts slide right out of IBO targets.
Good idea
I just spray a little silicone lube on the shaft.. and it slides right in and out of any targets I shoot.
Iron Man target amazing target 👍
I have the same target!! I take a flat board and push with my hip. If you have a broadhead on, take it off first 😂😂
Push it out the back?
@@WHOTEEWHO back out the way it come in. Once you get it started it's easy to pull out! In my experience
Keep a rubber band around that hand crank, they like to fall off walking around the brush. Then it's no fun

The bolt will side right out of the bone collector target.
How much $$$ does it cost?

Whn my dad used a crossbow we used a dead stop target.
My opinion crossbow bolts go deeper in targets than a compound bow cause the crossbow runs faster
I would like archery dropping deer to become my thing.
Morrell Yellow Jacket YJ-450 Plus target
Only target that my stealth NXT won't shot throw is a bone collecter discharge around 25 dollars great target Walmart
Put ivory soap on the bolts and they will slide out with little effort.
👍💯🇨🇱
Cut your self Bicycle innertube put it around the bolt when pull them out of target .
Invest in a arrow puller bro makes life a lot easier... 😂
See how fast your heavy load is flying just incase it is not 450
Spider web target
Get yourself a bulldog target, lifetime warranty and there extremely tough
Can’t use those cheap targets on that horse power
