  • Were back for a review on these new crossbows. These 2 compact crossbows the Ravin R26 and the Ten Point Siege are very similar. Both are short and narrow, that provide tons of speed.
    We will be doing some budget bows in the next coming weeks, so if you havent yet please hit that subscribe button, Notification Bell, and leave us a comment. Thanks again to Legacy Archery in Brookville, PA.

    I got the Ravin R26 crossbow and it fits me the best 👌. I like that it's very narrow in front. I put a little pressure on the back button with my thumb to make it more quiet when I'm cranking it. It's a tack driver crossbow. Thanks for the video. Great job 👏 👍 👌.

    Love the Siege Rs410 picked one up here recently. Cocking and decocking is smooth and quiet and super safe. Both really nice bows and I just love that Tenpoint is manufactured and built in Ohio Made in the USA. Great video

      Good to hear. I thought Ravin was built and made in USA also. I’m looking into both brands and am having a hard time. Going to go to the dealer next week when the kids r back in school and try to shoot a couple and see what I can get.

      Ravin was a US company until CenterPoint (Chinese) purchased them years back.

      I believe the Ravin has a five year warranty. With that said, when I spend 1700.00 dollars. I want a quality cross bow with a great warranty.
      That is why I have chosen Mathews Mission Sub 1 xr.
      I have one of the first crossbow s Mathews Mission came out with in 2013 the MBX 320. My Mathews dealer has always given me first class in warranty repairs.

      @@jamescastania291I love Mathews Bows also. I actually had one of the original Mathews Crossbows when it first came out. For some reason the Victory bolts I received were wrong and me and my dealer called Mathews and sent the bolts back to them and they Overnighted me new bolts. First class manufacturer.

    Great video. I had the Raven R26 and it was very dangerous to unlock it. You had to hold the crank handle back from unwinding. I'm now going with the Wicked ridge raider 400 crossbow. When uncocking it the handle stops. It's a lot more safer for me.

    Absolutely love my R26!!! The size makes it so incredibly easy to carry without getting hung up on limbs. The accuracy is insane!! 1”grouping at 50 yards. I’m sure it would be the same at 100 yards or close to it but I don’t hunt out to 100 yards so I only shoot out to 50. Decent comparison of the two bows. You should have shown the cocking of the R26 quietly by depressing the button and cranking it for those that have never handled the Ravin.

    • @michaelschnitzer4054
      @michaelschnitzer4054 Рік тому +1

      Practice out to 100 that way your 50 yard hunting shot is a much easier shot then you’re used to. I used to do it with compound bows but can’t shoot compound so am now diving into crossbows.

    The R-26 does have a silent crank hold the button om back of stock as your cranking

    Bought a brand new R5x and have had nothing but problem after problem! Have not even been able to sight it in on target let alone hunt with it! And Ravin Customer service is absolutely terrible and they don’t care about their customers!! A 1600$ paperweight!! However, i only bought the ravin because my tenpoint blew up on me and the limbs blew off and injured me!! So i figured i would go to the other big name out there and well boy have i been disappointed!! So now I have tried 2 very expensive xbows from the two biggest companies out there and they both put out crap!!! And they both have horrible customer service!! Go figure!!

    I own both of these bows. I am an avid hunter all year round I’ve had problems with both of them. Strings.. that’s an issue. they don’t last long and you got to be a professional and have a vice to change them. I’m sick of it. You might get 50 to 80 shots and then you’re gonna have issues. I bought an ex caliber 360 today it’s not as powerful but I don’t have to screw with the string Or worry about it. I guess I hunt too much

      Just keep the button pressed on the back, but do be careful, you have to keep tension on the handle and you cannot let it go or you will send the handle spiraling out of control.
