Just finished changing out my clutch. Thanks for creating this DIY video, it was perfect! .... my fingers and neck hurt from being under the car, but it was all worth it.

Excellent video just hope no grease made it to the clutch disk. I never handle a flywheel, clutch disc, or brake rotor contact area with my hands and always spray them down with brake cleaner before install. Improperly torqued flywheel and possible oil left on clutch disc is my biggest reason for diy'ing a clutch job and not trusting it to jiffy lube mechanics.

This is a great video, however I have only one complaint. When using a 6mm hex to prevent the fly wheel from moving make sure to put it in a bolt hole on the left or right where there are no threads. If you put it in a threaded bolt hole you will damage the threads. This isn’t mentioned in the video but I thought I would say something. Other wise great video series

I can’t imagine how long it must have taken “grinding” a socket down on a driveway. I took a power sander with 100grit paper to mine and it was taking forever. Switched to a grinder with a flapper disc and that did it but it wasn’t flat. So I said screw it and just used a regular 12 point socket with an impact and just took care to make sure the impact was perfectly perpendicular. Worked for me.
    Thanks for the video though.

If you’re replacing with a lightweight flywheel do you need to use the washer behind the flywheel bolts.

If it’s OEM for sure. If it’s aftermarket I would follow their instructions. I’m guessing you would still need it.

Sorry for this dumb question but I can only find a black pilot bearing (91006pcx008) and I was just curious if they are the same. I know they are the same part number the only reason I really ask is because every video I’ve seen of people redoing the clutch they’re using an orange one and I just wanted to have the best when I could possibly put in I will be pushing for 500hp

91006-PCX-008 is a Clutch Pilot Bearing for both AP1/2. I’d go for OEM instead of replacement Taiwan/China eBay pilot bearings NA or Boosted

Did you use thread lock on flywheel and pressure plate bolt? Some people use it l. Do you recommend doing that?

      I don’t since Honda doesn’t.
