Can we all just to think about what a great addition Quinn has been to the team! I remember the content before he came, and while it was still great it went up a crazy level since he joined
Quinn, Ricky, Mickey, all great content creators and fabricators.
My bro adjusted
Yeah he just like Ricky and Micky are really good at educating and letting us know whats happening and I love it
dude heck ya it looks great!! go team!!!!
Will as well
Quinn always knowledgeable on the engine builds. But gotta give credit to the 3 editing boys, the cinematography has been crazy the past few weeks of content.
Another masterpiece by Quinn is on it's way. Is there any engine this guy can't work with? I guess this one first needs to be developed. Incredible. Quinn for me is a exeptional talent of his profession. Always a blast watching him at these builds.
Nothing but the utmost respect for people who can do engine tear downs and then rebuild them.
To all of us normals, Quinn is like an engine Einstein. Never seems worried that he'll miss anything and always knows what to do next. Always love to see him work.
Quinn tearing apart and rebuilding engines videos have been my favorites so far.
Love watching teardowns! Can't wait for the deep clean next!!
Dude watching the teams videos got me out my depression, you guys are truly amazing at what you do and hope what you guys do continue on generation after generation 💯🤝🏽💪🏽🖤 much love from Philly 💯
Depression and anxiety Hate a moving target my friend . Get busy doing what you love and watch it fade away
Fr! Every time they upload I get a boost of serotonin!❤
Please replace the spoon back bumper with stock one
the knowledge Quinn has is outta this world! hes really knowledgeable & very well informed on all the builds you guys have ! Amazing Man
Quinn is a true mechanic and a genius on the engine breakdowns amazing work man your the best ‼️🤴
Met Mickey and Rickey at the LZ world tour event in NJ yesterday. Talked to them about my build. Good people.
I fucking love how Quinn makes everything look easy lol
Bruh, Honda should be paying y’all. That this engine was in such good condition is a testament to Honda’s build quality. Can’t wait to see how this turns out.
One of the best parts about this channel is that Throtl doesn’t just throw on some bolt ons in a build like this. They actually seem to take care of the mechanical bits in addition to the other stuff before giving this away to a lucky viewer.
Quinn should definitely be making 2x more than whatever Throtl is paying him.
"Awwwh Willll!!!" 🤣
This is an awesome journey so far!!!
Replace that slave cylinder that broke with aslave cylinder from an ap1, the one you have has a delay valve! Ap1 slave cylinder doesn’t and it allows for quicker shifts
The lighting was excellent for this video - you could see everything very clearly.
I love learning, so that you for taking the time to point out all the small details……no detail is too small not to get mentioned so that we can become better
Throtl VIP squad good morning Quinn, Mickey Rickie , Evan, Rick , Victor will TimShawn Nate, big Jeff and the rest of the team awesome building a bad ass S 2000👍🏼😊🤙🏽❤️
ALWAYS LOVE THESE ENGINE BUILD VID'S. ENTERTAINING. LEARN A LOT !
Super! I think we need more techical tutorial-like videos. About engine, about gearbox, about painting-technology, about everything. Big thx for this.
Love this build
Always love these videos doing tear downs and builds with Quinn and the crew! really excited to see this engine come together. so satisfying to watch, cleaning everything up is going to be sooo good.
Great video! Excited to watch another engine build from Quinn he is so thorough on everything about the motor can’t wait to see next video on building the motor and finishing the masterpiece! Keep up the good work guys ! Hope to see you guys on June 3rd in Irwindale!!
They need to get Quinn some short sleeve hoodies when he is working on a Engine 🤣🤣
We need a 300zx update, that’s build I’m excited too see.
Same, this video also shows why I would love them to rebuild the engine it came with.
I just like watch this kind of video because it's a learning process for me to.. So thank you guys
As a proud 300zx owner I miss the 300zx content lol 💯💯
Not an owner but I miss the content. I want to see that transformation!!
Love this stuff! Great job, Quinn.
This engine tech videos are the best. Can watch them for hours without getting bored. Can't wait for the next video ❤
DUDE where the F is the Nissan 300ZX????
What happened to the 300ZX?
kinda reminded me of a youtuber "I Do Cars", he takes apart all sorts of engnes but he includes all the sounds no music which is so satisfying. I enjoy yalls vids. much luv
Quinn is the dude of throl tear it down 👍👍👍
Really like this channel. It's grown on me
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
I really wish that I could bring that baby to my country!!!
Me at home on my couch smiling happily. 😬
A weighted 19mm socket is a game changer for crank pulley bolts. My milwaukee 1/2" impact with this socket will snatch one off in a couple of seconds
Big airbox is good. They are so enclosed it's good to allow some room for air to gather.
Great Mechanic. Throtl#1. Entertaining Always.
I’m really hoping I win this car. S2K has been my dream car since it came out. Nothing says well built like a 4 cylinder that can beatV8s!
Quinn is the brain
Maaan that E36 looks and sounds soooooo goooooood 8:35
Woo!!! Can’t wait for the next episode ❤
Throl is at it again 👌🦾👍
Just a reminder if you are putting a heavier clutch in to disable the clutch switch so you don't have to depress it to start the car. Heavier clutches eat thrust bearings
Evan still got the 36. Respect!
Love an engine tear down
I was not expecting to see the pistons cams and crank in that good of condition considering how old this car is.... It's gonna be an exciting rebuild
Lace the rings 180 degrees out from each other in line with the rod pins for maximum cylinder pressure, and seal everything from the intake to the exhaust with silicone and build it to last, and make up a 50/50 solution of motor oil and prolong oil treatment right from the start and you won't believe the results especially considering what you are planning on adding to it
I’m being pedantic here, but IT’S NOT FREON. Freon is R12, and that was phased out decades ago. That car has R134a.
Shouts out to the editor for putting in those clips of SWAT ground pounding through the roof and shit 😂😂🤣🤣🤣 fucking gold 💯🔥
Another great video! Quinn is the BEST!!! Great job on the camera work.
Schmuck Built makes a replacement cross bar that is removable and gets rid of that ugly cross bar in the engine bay. They also make a neat AC line relocation kit that will clean up the engine bay and move the lines away from the hot turbo kit.
Quinn is a whole different level of goated
Hi team Throtl.
I'm a biggg fan i watch all your builds i love them cars.
Im from Africa (kenya, Nairobi.) i have a Sg5 Forester which was Automatic transmission but i converted it to manual transmission.
I wish one day you guys travel to kenya and build this one for me. My dream car.
I love you guys❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Motor looks brand new
Quinn is a genius.
I just got to Will jumping out of the S2000, while it's on the lift, like he's Spiderman. Just about spit my food that I'm eating all over my monitor, laughing. Lmao.
Love these kinds of videos. Ya'll been crushin' it
As a s2000 owner and pulling the motor couple times already, I was waiting for Quinn to realize he needs to drop the trans first then pull the engine from up top. Happens to all of us.
Great tear down video. Quinn as always 👌
Have you thought about making a throtl academy on a separate channel or on patreon? Where you could share tear downs, how to, personal knowledge etc for people who wants to learn more and in depth?
Quinn, you’re the best 🔥🔥🔥
Been following you guys for a while, am actually trying to see if I can buy a 2015 VW gti 2.0t and would love to see you guys build one and give me some ideas. Me only being 19 you guys are such a inspiration to me.
Quinn is on the job all hands on deck the S2000 is going to be an awesome giveaway
Indont like engine work tbh, but I see mah boi Quinn and I click.
Wait for next episode
I wanna see Quinn tear down and build an S65 engine from the E series M’s. I’ve started on mine.
Quinn the goat 🙌🏽
Theres a dot right on the crank sprocket and a arrow on the block u dont need the timing cover to set it to TDC
there is something so oddly satisfying about watching Quinn tear down a motor
Loving the content at usual!❤❤❤
Happy New Year to you always be successful and full of health
Great video
Such a dope video. Love the editing on breaking down the engine. Whoever gets this car is a lucky person.
Q the mad scientist rip the block off 😅
Kinda hope they go with just gloss black on the color.
Last I checked they don't put Freon in s2000s. I'm pretty sure they use r134a refrigerant.
My opinion Best Eps Are When Quinn is tearing Down a Engine& my engine might have oil build up it sits for 4 months minimum then gets driven twice a month 🤷🏾
nice work on the s2k, but want z32 videos.....
How can I forget about myself at all? 😖😖😖😖😖It hurts I'm tired. 😪😴
Dry ice blast it.
Look at that rust free under belly. That car definitely didnt come from the north east. The struggle is real on the east coast.
Yessir! This is the stuff right here!
In California I believe Quinn descrption of police invasion is exactly what would happen if they leaked all that freon!
Good video.
Call Dynosource about the Rane H8r VC mod
That Bosch oil filter makes my skin crawl. That right there shows the owner didn't care about quality. 😅
Don't worry, it'll be replaced.
How's that rip to the slave ...there are rebuild kits for it ....
Quick question did you guys test the refrigerant before evacuating it? And if so why not show it I’m sure plenty of people don’t know how or necessarily why you check the refrigerant just wondering because I thought it’d be a cool thing to teach the people who may not know about the hvac system but great video as always
long as oring is well, that slave can very easily be, cleaned then re-assembled and work no issues what so ever. not end of the world as being made out to be.
I love me my Honda and that tear down guys
Is there a link for music used in videos?
Great videos. Quinn is on fire.
I've never seen cleaner guys working on cars, tearing down engines and everything else. I get filthy just doing routine maintenance on my vehicles. Ya'll come out much cleaner LOL
Next time drop the cradle it's much simpler....Overall love all your content.
@throtl team have you guys thought about moving the compressor form the corner for cleaner video purposes? Or you don’t care? Just asking
Love to have you do this to my 2020 Veloster N MT?????????
In the part where @quinnmclark is working on the engine the background music seems very much similar to Tokyo drift.
Anyone noticed that?
What’s better about the K series that the F22 doesn’t have? I feel like I see alot more K series builds than I see anything else.
I see 2 main reasons: 1, the timing chain setup on the F22 is a little oddball, and while it makes the timing chain system more simple, it doesn’t lend itself much room for a VVTI system. VVTI allows for changing valve overlap on the fly, which can improve emissions and midrange torque of the engine, but usually not utilized in high RPM’s, (7k+), because the engine is spinning so fast additional valve overlap is simply not needed. High RPM is the F20/F22’s party trick. The K series’ more traditional timing chain setup allows for VVTI cam gears to be used. Number 2 would be production numbers: the F20/F22 was a S2000 only engine package, while the K series was in a significant amount of Honda models, making them more accessible, therefore cheaper, and allowed for greater platform support.
