    I own a 2014 NC750X and also use the clip-on extention. It works extremely well. The weather in South-Africa is hot enough so I don't want any more wind protection. Having wind on the shoulders is a blessing in summer. You may not be so happy having all the wind taken off your body when its hot.

    I tried exactly the same on my 2021 NC750X. I also have the taller Honda screen, but found it was still a bit too low, so I tried one of these deflectors. I found it worked a treat, but unfortunately, I found it also caused the screen to flex a lot. So much in fact, that I was worried that over time it could cause the screen to come adrift from its attachment points. In their infinite wisdom Honda now use expanding rubber grommets, instead of good old nuts and bolts. Obviously saves money, but in my opinion provides a far less secure method for attaching the screen. I also found that when I removed the deflector it had marked the screen where it was attached. This was even though I had installed it correctly and only had it fitted a short time. The good news is that after a few weeks, these compression marks disappeared all by themselves. So my advice would be to not try to polish them out as it may cause more damage, just leave the plastic screen to recover naturally.

    Nice video. I appreciate the effort you made to show the installation and the two week later report. I’m thinking about getting one of the visors to put on my NC750X. Thank you.

    Here's my tip: Go around the very edge of the perspex with a black permanent marker. This will stop the edge of the deflector lighting up and creating a visual distraction as you can see in your conclusion.

    Awesome vid sir! Those clip-on visors sure work fine. I bought a Memphis Shades Hot Wing for my '21 Harley Road King and boy what a difference. Keep up the Great work!

    I tried the tall Honda window (3") and it had almost no effect on buffeting. I then added a $35 cheapo knock-off Puig-type clip on and it was a complete game changer. It seems sturdy enough and if it breaks I'll buy a better one but at least now I know it works. And it works very well. 2022 NC 750X DCT. I'm 6' tall.

      This one is still doing great for me. It doesn't look great but it gets the job done.

      I have the same year bike and setup. I've learned that the helmet actually has a lot to do with buffeting. Can I ask what helmet you're using?

    Really good video! I have a 2014 Honda CTX700 DCT and the windscreen options suck. But bought a reasonably priced smoke black and it works ok around town. Highway riding sucks..... I also have a 2007 Yamaha Majesty 400 with a stock but huge windscreen and love it!! This bike is great for short and long riding! Now, I just took (a week ago) of a Kymco AK550 and it's really a mash-up of the other 2 I have....but windscreen even at it's highest adjusment not as good as the Yamaha...so, I too bought a clip-on visor and can't wait to get it! Hope I get the same results as you. BUT just had a another thought based on your comment about "side wind" around your current windscreen configuration... Why not put 2 more on your windscreen on the sides! Mine only cost $21.00 plus $6.00 for shipping. It's worth it to me to get 2 more snd put them on the sides of the main windscreen to deflect more wind and cheaper than a bigger screen! Lemme know what you think! Keep the vid's coming! Thx!

      @@KSSTUDIOS Hey - Where did you find your Honda oem usb charger? Everywhere I've looked, it's out of stock. Western Honda said it would be available 12/23 but that date has come & gone and it seems like it's still out of stock.

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  2 роки тому

      @WheelsNotHeels I ordered it from the Honda accessories website and had it shipped to Western Honda for pickup. It looks like they are listed as "out of stock" currently though.

    Honestly, the aftermarket windshield by Honda seems to cost more than it delivers. It is better than the OEM screen, but far from ideal. Give a consideration to GIVI D1192ST. It is wider and looks better and the top is curved for more wind protection. Plus is costs similar to Puig clip-on visor as a stand alone item )))

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  2 роки тому

      Yeah, the Honda tall windscreen doesn't seem worth the cost. It's better than stock, but I wish they had just put an adjustable screen on in the first place.

    I bought a Puig touring windshield and it was only a small improvement over the OEM, what a waist of $150. Now I need to buy a visor to stop the wind buffeting, another $114.

    Did you try riding at a higher speed, for instance 130km/h? here in Netherlands it's very windy which makes lots of noise in the helmet thus I wonder whether this might be the right solution rather than replacing the whole windshield. Thanks for your thoughts, cheers

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  2 роки тому

      It works great for me at 70-80mph (112-128 km/h). I don't really push the speeds any higher than that.

    How tall are you I'm 6'5 and really love this bikes design and I want a dct for sure but don't know if I need to go for the nt1100 or africa twin instead

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  2 роки тому

      I'm 6'0" and I find that my setup is just right for my height. Any taller and I don't think the screen would be as effective. I was also looking at the NT1100, but they aren't in the USA yet.

    I currently have a different one which I pivot a little bit forward, but riding at higher speeds with stronger winds it flips all the way back. Does this one have the same problem?

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  2 роки тому

      I've never had this one move on me once I set a specific angle. It clicks into place pretty good. They do have different sizes of this brand to accommodate different windshield widths.

      I don't always keep the visor on. I prefer the look of the bike without this on. It does work great if I'm going on a longer ride though.

    As I watch all these videos I feel that honda became a bit lazy at engineering and very much cost concerned. Looks like dct (apart "legendary" reliability) remains their only one selling point. I would definitely look at Cfmoto bikes if manual would be my opinion.
