Cool, I just ordered the Puig Touring Plus windscreen that comes with a visor on it. I´m quite tall, so the OEM 1290SAS windscreen is pretty much useless for me.
Appreciate the review - thanks. Based on this think I'm going to try this on my 1250GS that I've put up with slight buffeting for 24K miles ... I'm a slow adopter 🙂
@@thebabadook1165 Yes it worked. Overall very pleased for the investment. Used this year on a 3K mile trip UK to Slovenia via as many passes as I could find across the Alps and for the times I needed less buffeting/wind noise it did the trick. It did get close to 40C though and at that point I removed it again as it stops windflow to the head - I was still too hot. Great for the long stretches of motorway and a 2 min job to remove/readd. For reference, I'm 1.72m/5'8", 78Kg and wearing a Neotec2.
Great video, thanks!! I recently got the same visor 2.0 but am going to have to return it as vision through it is quite distorted ... cars 100 yards ahead turn into distorted blobs when looking through my visor 2.0. I can see from this video that yours is much clearer to look through with very little to no distortion in the centre portion of your visor.
well, I am also wondering how it is gonna behave on my Triumph Tiger 660 but when I saw it mounted on the bike and working at 240 km/h on the track, I am pretty confident, it may work at my speeds up to 150 :) (however, it is still Puig's movie/advert -> on YT: 2.0. Visor with Clip-on Mechanism, tested at high speeds at circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya). Cheers. Mac.
Meh, I foresee the clam screws coming loose, or not being tight enough and the screen flying off. Or you overtighten them and it's very hard to adjust. They should have made it in a way where the clamps holding the screen cannot possibly loosen completely.
Thanks for your comment ! I hope that doesn't happen 😅. I didn't mention it in the video, but the threaded insert in the clamp is metal, so normally not that easy to over-tighten. There is also some sort of silicone patch on the inside of the clamps to provide grip on the windshield. I only use it when riding longer highway parts to keep the wind of my helmet, once of the highway I put it away. But when you keep it on the windscreen all the time I think it's a good idea to check the screws after some time.

I have it too.very good solution for the wind

Perfect review. Fitting and testing. Looks ideal for me. Many thanks.
Great video! 🙂Do bugs slip between the visors and splat on the helmet visor? Ty
Thanks. I do indeed have fewer insects on my screen with the visor and I don't have the impression that they are going under it

Did it work?

Congratulations for your video , greetings from Greece

Indeed, my visor shows no real distortion. Good luck !
The clamps are a weak spot. I lost my visor from my Africatwin touring screen at speed!
why didint you get the puig touring or plus visor, it also comes in tint, i orded it, cant wait
I preferred the clip-on as I can remove it easily. I mainly want to use it when I'm doing longer highway parts....
@@FlamesAdventureS gotca, makes sence
Is it true that it slips when it's raining?
I drove on the highway in the rain last week, and I had no problems....
Pas op dat de boel niet afbreekt door de druk van de wind
😁👍
