- I've had the NC750X for about a month now. What are my thoughts about it after spending some time with it? I take a ride out to Canyon Lake, AZ. to test it out in some twisties.

About crosswinds: it's funny that to me seem more critical Harley in case of crosswinds, fronte medium to high intensità, and more manageable the Honda...

I have a 2016 nc700 dct with 120000+ miles and still love it,I just traded in my ducati Panigale for a 21 nc750 dct . The new 750 in rain mode feels like the 700 in sport1 mode.I don't know why I need two NCs but it's nice to have backup.leave the exhaust stock and everyone will like you.
After 16 years with a 800 cc Suzuki Intruder Volusia, this Honda has got my attention. Soon turning 68 years myself, comfort will be a priority, i.e at a reasonable cost. Thanks for really great videos. I am Leif, from Scania region, Sweden.
Beautiful bike and scenery and a great road - thanks for sharing! Ditto Bob V's comment about cross winds. Relaxing and trusting the bike to do the work is the key. Once you realize that the bike will handle the wind, then you can stop doing the work yourself. Also, my experience is that windscreens are like sails in a crosswind and the bigger the screen, the more you'll get blown around. One final comment is that I think riding is about pleasing YOURSELF. If you have a smile on your face and you're not doing anything that puts anyone else at risk, then nothing else matters - certainly not what anyone else thinks.

I o highway riding at times and I've been on the bike without a windshield and it was horrible. The one I have on now is better not perfect and I'm still a bit taller than it but better than No windshield
Glad you are enjoying your NC. I recently traded for a 2014 6 speed and couldn't be happier. After 50 years of riding I find its a very logical choice for an all around motorcycle. No, it wont rev to 12000 rpm or run 180 mph but it is very good for most reasonable riding. The low cost and ease of maintenance and excellent fuel economy means that you own it, not the other way around. Your comments about being blown around a bit make sense as its much lighter than many cruisers. Have fun and when you get tired of baking in that desert heat head east to New Mexico and enjoy some of our great mountain roads.
I don't ride any more but the last bike I had was your bike's Daddy, a Honda NC700X which was hands down the coolest and easiest bike I ever owned in my almost 55 years of riding. The DCT made every ride so much more enjoyable and the bike in its entirety worked flawlessly.
I have this bike since two weeks, it is an excellent bike, really nice and smooth , do not hesitate
crosswinds affect lighter bikes more than a heavy bike. Also higher speeds seem to make the lighter bikes more susceptible as well.
*UPDATE* In March of 2022, Honda finally did a recall on the bike and fixed the touchy throttle issues I had! Now it is a fantastic bike that I highly recommend!
I have this same bike as well and I'll give a few of my observations.
I traded in a 2020 Triumph Speedmaster for this bike because I wanted to get away from cruisers because they hurt my back. I'm 5 ft 7 and I stand up ride it quite a bit pretty comfortably on this bike. Sounds like shorter riders can do this more easily. That helps to stretch my legs and back and also the seat gets a little hard on my butt bones after a while. But it's not bad.
I would have to say my biggest nitpick is the throttle. It is way too touchy, especially on slower bumpy roads. It wore out my wrist just trying to keep a consistent throttle on it. I actually think it would have been better without the throttle by wire. I've had around 30 bikes and the throttle on this one is probably the most annoying of them all. Now on regular roads it's not that bad, but it isn't as good as most other bikes, unfortunately. I am wondering since it is throttle by wire, if Honda can do a software update to it to tame it down. That would be wonderful. Come on Honda, please make this happen!
The power is good. It has plenty of power to get up and go and it can cruise at a decent speed no problem.
My first tank I got 70mpg, Second tank I got 66 mpg. Not too shabby.
Easy to handle. Nice a flickable and light enough.
The brakes are awesome. Very happy with them.

I really miss a real cruise control. This bike really should have it.
Storage compartment is totally awesome. All bikes should have this setup.
DCT is also awesome. This is my second bike to have it. (The other was the CTX700 DCT. ) You don't have to worry about ever stalling the bike. And as soon as you start to add throttle it engages and your on your way. You don't have to mess with clutching or shifting. You can just enjoy the ride more easily than a manual bike.
The windscreen is terrible. Very noisy air in my helmet. But I recommend getting one of those small adjustable screens that mounts to the top of the factory screen. I did this and it made a huge improvement. And it was only $30. Just get one while you wait to see what the aftermarket windscreen makers come out with.
The display is wonderful. And as I suspected, it is very accurate with the speed. I confirmed this today with GPS. Most bikes are way overly optimistic with the speed they show. So very happy to have an accurate reading! It is also clearly visible.
I would like to get some handle bar risers though, as I am still leaning forward more than I'd like. I want to sit straight up. I am waiting to see if there is a way to re-route the parking brake cable, because this one has the least slack. I removed the bolts on the handlebars and moved them around to see what it was like.
The headlights are fine. I've had worse. All LED lights are cool.
On first start up, it's not the smoothest I've heard. Runs better as it warms up.
That's all for now. I highly recommend this bike. Overall it is comfortable and easy to ride. Great on gas and has awesome storage space. All bikes will have something to complain about, some more than others. This one has way more pros than cons. I don't regret my purchase. Thanks for the great video KSStudios! Keep them coming.

After about a month of ownership and 600 miles on the odometer, I'll give an update on my experience as well. I absolutely hate the throttle on this bike. I don't know what it is exactly, but I think since it is throttle by wire, (no cables involved, only computer controlled) Honda programmed it to be way too touchy. Just the tiniest movement of my wrist makes the bike react, so I am constantly trying to keep a steady hold on the throttle and it seriously wears out my wrist. I rode it 2 days ago and I had to bring it home early because of the physical pain in my wrist. It hurt the rest of the evening. I first noticed the issue when I rode down an extremely bumpy rural road that I had to drive slowly on for about 5 miles. It was a wonderful road that I've ridden on before on other bikes without issue. Having to mentally concentrate on the throttle the whole time just ruined the ride.
I also have a 2022 Honda Metropolitan scooter that I bought a couple of weeks before this bike and I am about to rack up about 700 miles on it. The throttle on this scooter is perfect. No issues at all. I am now riding it more than the NC because of the throttle issue.
Today I will receive a handle bar riser that I ordered and will try to install that. It is one recommended by someone with the previous year NC750 on NC700 Forums. From what I've gathered, it will raise it and bring it back around 1.5 inches. Hopefully I have enough slack in the parking brake cable, since this seems to be the tightest of all the cables/wires. We'll see. I'm hoping this will allow me to not rest my weight on the bars as much. I'm 5 ft 7 inches and 178 lbs. and I tend to have to lean forward to reach the bars, which I hate. I want to sit straight up. I'm trying to minimize any pressure put on the throttle to alleviate pain in my wrist.
Another small issue I've noticed is sometimes when I take off from a start, there is a hesitation in the engine. Especially if I transition quickly from holding the brake to the throttle. It kind of misses out. Not every time, but enough to annoy me. Also, whenever I cold start the bike, the idle goes up and down a bit and finally levels off after about 20 seconds or so. I definitely didn't expect this from a brand new Honda.
Maybe all of this is related to some kind of engine programming issue. Not sure. I want to know if others are noticing any of this as well. I've been trying to listen in your videos if your bike does this whenever you take off from a start, but oddly, I've noticed that you have edited most of your starts from a stop out. Not sure why.
The seat is also not as comfortable as I first thought. I find myself squirming quite a bit after just a short time. This Texas heat dos not help. I stand up a lot on the bike to try to alleviate this. Today I ordered an "Airhawk" inflatable seat pad for it and that should arrive tomorrow. They have good reviews and I think that will help a lot.
The windshield is terrible. Do yourself a favor and do what I did. Order one of those small adjustable windshield extenders that mount to the top of the stock windshield. It makes a huge improvement and is now tolerable and not nearly as noisy. It's only $30 at Amazon and will hold us over until third party manufacturers come out with better windscreens for this new model of bike.
To close, I love the bike, but with this extremely touchy throttle, I cannot recommend this bike. I am waiting to see of others are noticing this as well. If not, then I will have to take it to the dealer to see if there is a problem with my bike. If that happens I will report back.
In the meantime, I'm gonna go for a ride....on my scooter.
@@Truthseeker71 I'm not experiencing the same severe throttle issues that you seem to be having. I have noticed that sometimes from a complete stop if I'm too light with the throttle it will seem to hesitate slightly before taking off. Since I have adjusted my throttle pull it seems much smoother now. It is a different feeling than a traditional cable throttle for sure. As far as the cold start, I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary there either. I think having the bike checked out during your first service appointment (600 miles) might be a good call. Thanks for the update. I hope this issue gets worked out for you. I'd be interested to find out how this turns out for you.
@@KSSTUDIOS Thanks for the reply. Yeah, from what I'm seeing, it seems I'm the only one with this issue. I've already changed my oil and filters at 582 miles, so I wasn't planning on paying the dealer to do that, but for this issue I'm probably going to take it to the dealer under warranty to get to the bottom of it. Hopefully they will find an underlying problem and correct it. I hope so, because I can't enjoy the bike as it is currently.

I have a 2019 NC750 DCT. As for wind, I added a Madstad 20" screen and it made a huge difference! It's adjustable up and down by about 3" and angle about 15 degrees. It's very solid with side deflectors as well. They suggest a frosted lower screen band to offset reflection from the headlight, but I went with a fully clear screen and am happy with it. I made a few other adjustments to the bike worth noting, I put on a Corbin seat and raised the front to level it out, I have done 10 hour days in the saddle without a problem. I lowed the bike to 30 inches and stuck on Denali D4 lights mainly for conspicuity, people sure see me now! I love my NC,!
How did raising it to level it out affect the handling? If at all? I really want this bike.
@@briarfox637 flattening out the seat gave me a more upright stance and made slow speed turns easier for me as I am 5'8". And lowering the bike using lust racing "dog bones" let's me flat foot it on hills. For me handling is greatly improved. What made the biggest difference was adding with Madstad windscreen, so I can run at 75 on the freeway with no wind issues at all. Overall the handling is great for me

@@briarfox637 the 21 is a great bike. But don’t rule out a low mileage 19 plate. You get a lot of bike for your money and the 21 only has a few tweaks here and there. You save around £2-2.5K and having test ridden both, I didn’t see much of a difference to be honest.

I bought the 2019 model with DC (mat black coloured), drove 9.000 miles, had a lot of fun, no problems, easy to handle, very happy with that bike. Today I had a nice ride through the black forrest, lot of narrow and curved streets with beautiful views. But I would wish to drive once in your area.

Thank you for this review. I just got my license and have decided on buying an NC for the DCT. The 2021s won’t be available here (Sacramento area) until October or November, but it sounds like the wait will be worth it.
I,m fron Spain. I bougth this motorbike in august and drove it 1000km in a row. I,ve made already 5000 km more in different long and shot journeys and fin nor flaws. DCT is soft and easy. Fuel consume under 4l/100km at all speeds. Very good choice in my opinion.
I'm eyeing a 2022 model. I currently ride a 2012 NC700X with full hard topcase, side cases and heated grips and have been very happy with it. I've regularly put in 9 hour riding days over the years with the assistance of an Airhawk seat. I rode the same '89 Honda TransAlp for 28 years and never had a bit of mechanical trouble so I'm sticking with Honda. I really like the upper 60's mpg and the insurance on this model is dirt cheap. When the weathers reasonable I use it for everything, from long distance travel to my grocery shopping. I'll look closely at the new Honda NT1100 but from what I see so far the NC750X is leading.
My NC750X is my favorite bike that I've owned. With that said, I'm interested in trying out the NT1100 when my dealer gets one in. I want to test that one on the highway to see how much more comfortable it is.
I’ve had a lot of bikes, and I’ve wanted an NC750X for some time now. The 2021 with DCT is top of my list at the moment. It’s difficult to explain as to why I’m attracted to this bike because the practicality and efficiency making it fun doesn’t make sense to most people. I think it actually has loads of character for being a typical refined and “boring” Honda. I’m excited to potentially buy one soon.

Congrats on the new ride, I traded in my 2012 Burgman 650 for 2020 leftover NC750X manual version and am just loving this machine it has a good amount of power has great road manners however the very 1st thing I did was change out the seat because it was horrible at best. Currently I'm in the process of kitting it out with luggage, additional forward lighting, crash bars, radiator protector, bigger screen and hand guards as it gets cold up here in the North East. Congrats to you as well! I test rode the 2020 a while back and it's a great ride (minus the seat). I'm happy to say that the 2021 has resolved the seat issue as the stock one is totally usable.

Just bought one. I absolutley love it! Rides so great, very fast. It's like a Unicorn around here, had to travel to get one but it was worth it.
Looking to make this my first bike after a TON of research would you consider it a decent first bike? Any complaints?
@@kairo168 It's my first bike. I was riding 125cc scooters before this. It's no joke and took me a bit to feel comfortable with it but now i love it. I also started using the user mode and tweaked a bunch of settings that made it feel perfect for me.

I own a 2014 manual and it certainly is a fantastic all-round motorcycle. It is super stable in all conditions apart from feeling the crosswinds as you mentioned. I believe it comes with the low centre of gravity with the profile being fairly high and light at the top. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it is very controlable. Glad you are enjoying the bike. Good video.
Looks to be a good update of the 2018 that I own.
Definite upgrades I would recommend are a front mudguard extender and a radiator protector.
I fitted a taller touring screen from Puig but had to take it off as the buffeting from around the side of it was unbearable.
Lighter, taller, shorter wheelbase, so it isn't surprising that you feel the side winds more than on a cruiser. I have found that loose clothing can have a surprisingly large effect on a bike, so if you are able to tighten the fit to reduce flapping in the wind that may be beneficial. Those who consider this a boring motorcycle have probably come from high revving multi-cylinder machines that need high revs to make their power. You have come from cruisers that use torque to make progress, so this low revving machine is closer to what you are used to riding.

If you want to increase the speed on this easy curved road I suggest you look for a riding instructor, who will evaluate your riding and give you some drills to practice. Ride safe, have fun!

Totally agree with Bob re the cross winds, completely relax, shoulders/elbows to hands & by not fighting the bike you’ll find it much easier. If you can, find an instructor and do some advanced training. Great video

My impression after one month was 4000km and I found many problems with my arms and tendons. I needed an extension, a more curved handlebar and seat cushion
coming from a harley to the stock NC will be a shock. Unless u do more sporty driving
Dct sounds good to me as I'm a bit late to the riding party. I really appreciate your videos. Very informative and thorough.
I test rode one of these just a few weeks ago. My biggest complaint was the "frunk". My helmet wouldn't fit in it. I have the Shoei Neotec, and the frunk lid wouldn't quite close. Honda, if you're going to go through all the [significant] engineering and design gyrations to make a frunk, make it so that it accommodates all common helmets. Other than that, the bike was fine. I'm holding out for a Goldwing, though. I test rode one of those a few years ago and I can't stop thinking about it. Perhaps when the 2022 models come out...

I had a 2013 NC DCT, loved it except for that terrible seat. I had to take a break every 45 minutes or so, and it got worse as I continued the ride. The Godsend was that it got stolen, so now I have a 2024 on order. I hope the seat is as improved as several reviewers state.
I tried a 2020 model that still had the bad seat and I can say that the 2021 model improved it drastically. It no longer slopes to the front on a weird angle.

For some the importante will be the speed, for others it will be trail anda others it will be the deafening noise.

Hi there, thanks for taking time to do this video. My normal ride is a Yamaha FJR (nearly 300kg!) and since fitting a top box I have noticed some minor wind issues blowing me to the side. However, my NC750x also has a top box but I don’t get blown around at all. So, I don’t know if I’m correct but, my conclusion is that I guess it all depends on the conditions rather than the equipment.
I actually am contemplating between the nc750x vs the versys 650 for quite some time. Appreciate the information you have provided.

I live on Canada’s East Coast where the wind is always a factor. It’s the main reason I’m thinking of getting a bigger/heavier ADV style bike. I was on a trip up in Cape Breton and got caught in awful crosswinds the last hour of the trip. I had to fight the NC a lot to keep it on the road. No fun. Not sure why - probably a cross of the upright position and the NC having most of the weight really low on the bike.
I am a new rider , buying a big bike first time , test rode it in Dubai. Really smooth. 2024 model. Same colour as this one. 9500 usd.
The standard Honda screen does nothing except direct air into your face. However, I can definitely recommend the Puig touring screen - especially if it’s coupled with the MRA Vario, adjustable screen.

Crosswinds will absolutely affect upright bikes, faired bikes and light to moderate weight bikes. You have all three items present in that bike. In FL, we have "winter lol" winds, gusty but not constant and i get blown around on my DR650 in those conditions. The Nc750x dct could be my next bike...just wish it had 50% more power. But, from my experience on the DR..numbers aren't everything.

I love my NC and am having lots of fun with it finally got it figured out, try to ride every day even if it’s a short run to get groceries. Lots of room in oem rear case…

Unless you drop this bike off the roof of an apartment building you will probably be able to put 100 000 miles on it with basic upkeep like tires, brake pads, and oil changes. As you say everything is subjective but for the average person looking for a fun commuter, adventure and longer road trips it has more than enough power, great economy and fun factor.
I have a gold wing and a 650 vstrom, that’s the first thing I notice is that I get pushed around with the wind, on my vstrom, just a lighter bike.

I just got to this video and I surely appreciate you taking the time to make it. I also just got a '20 NC750X DCT with 2,200 miles on it. I really like the bike so far, in the week that I've owned it so far. I notice you made comments on the seat on the '20 models that was not too favorable. Well, I might agree with you and then, maybe not. The jury is still out on that. But the rest of the bike is really a fun bike in my personal opinion.
As for the road you were riding on, I have ridden that road several times on my '18 Africa Twin Adventure Sports DCT. Not exactly the optimum bike for those curves but still pretty darn fun. I also have an '18 Goldwing Tour DCT and coming from it, to the NC is without a doubt, quite a difference. I sure like that NC so far.

Thanks for the comment. I did have a test ride on the 2020 model and noticed that the seat slanted forward a bit. Not my preference, but seat comfort is very subjective. Hope you enjoy your NV750, it's a great bike in my opinion.
Very curious to know a few details of the differences between your NC750 and your Goldwing. I also have an NC750X DCT and often wondered if upgrading to a Goldwing would provide significantly more comfort for touring, but less fun for twisty roads. Owning both seems like an ideal situation.

If you're addressing me about the differences between my '18 DCT Wing and the '20 DCT NC750X, well, there's a couple obvious ones. First, THE WEIGHT. The NC's about almost 1/2 the weight of an '18 or newer wing. That's a serious difference when handling a motorcycle, at both slower and higher speeds. Of course the Wing is primarily intended for long distance higher speeds sort-a straight up touring. Where as, the much lighter and much more nimble NC750X is typically intended for run-a-bout, commuting and sport running through country roads and even some light off roading.
I love both of them for their intended purposes. While the NC IS considerably more nimble in handling for lots of situations, obviously due to its inherent design, it falls just a tad short in the longer distance cruising scenarios. Can it do it, of course it can. But, not without the rider suffering the pitfalls of trying to do longer distances on a bike that's not really designed for it. Yes, there are riders that take any and all kinds of smaller and much lighter weight bikes on long distance trips. But whether or not they'll admit it, they suffer from the fatigue of the constant control and battling of a smaller bike.
Where as, a Wing is designed, or mostly designed for those longer and more mileage endurance runs. The Wing will handle daily running around on city streets and zippy country roads, without a doubt. One can make just about any bike, do anything they want, depending on attitude. You pick a bike for its basic intended purpose(ing) and enjoy what it does best. And what it doesn't do best, you simply endure.

Harley is a low-seat ride. On NC, you are riding it like a horse. If you are riding above 60 mph, it is then I get slapped by the wind. I changed to a bigger windshield and also added a visor, which helped me a lot. I also practice on CBR250RR, above 60 mph, i tend to duck which helps a lot during windy days. Safe riding!

The windshield is very small and seems to be made for urban purpose. I changed mine for a taller one and it reduced the wind quite a lot However I am only 5’7’´…

Great update! I don't understand the 'boring' comment from some of the other reviewers. Unless you're racing on the track on a regular basis, or like to ride like a hooligan (going double the speed limit on highways and neighborhood school zones), I can't understand how anyone can call this bike boring. I guess each person is entitled to an opinion, even when it's wrong :-) .

This bike definitely isn't boring. The pickup on the highway is very quick. I can keep up with a 1600cc Kawasaki Vulcan at high speeds...
Hi. I just got my bike license and am driving a Honda PCX 125. How’s that for boring? But I am still having a ball driving it, with all its limitations. So I agree that no bike is boring….it all depends on the driving level and what you want to get out of it. Btw I come from Malta
It does 0 to 60 in 4.3 sec.
I ride in gales along rodes that have gateways in the hedges. So you get a 30mph cross wind, but when you pass a gateway into a field you suddenly get a sharp blast of 60mph funnelling through the gap. I have found, on bikes with a taller screen, the low pressure behind the windscreen can collapse in sudden cross wind gaps, creating a violent buffeting of the whole body! I have also seen condensation cloud form between me at the screen, on cold wet winter mornings.
Other than that, higher side profile, higher riding position, more area above the CoG, you will get pushed around a bit. I find it fun, in really high winds I have been leaned over 20* against the wind at times, even going slow in traffic. It freaks car drivers out, they all back away from you! LOL
In actual answer to your question though. Don't use your weight to lean into the gusts, it's too slow. Keep your weight/mass heading against the average wind, pointed where you want to go. For the buffets and gusts, tugs and pushes, use bar input to rapid change your lean angle against the wind. It's so much less effort.
Thanks for the comment. I've been getting more comfortable with the cross winds as I ride this bike more. You definitely have to get used to it.
The higher side profile catches more wind - and if it’s less weight then you definitely fell it more - weight plus profile equals more wind wiggle

Hi, Greetings from the UK. Have not tried the new NC yet but do agree that the saddle on previous models is a real butt buster. I have a 2017 750s DCT. Changed the rear shock for a Nitron R1 and the front fork springs to Hyperpro progressives with 15 grade oil. More comfortable, better feedback and less dive on braking. Didn't realise how bad the OEM rear was until I did this. Like you I have found that sidewinds are a little disconcerting but they have to be quite strong to worry me. As regards a replacement screen PUIG do some nicely specced and finished products. Have you found the steering a little skittish where road repairs have been carried out along the length of the carriageway (not crossways). Finally what camera are you using and how is it mounted. Nice clear shots and no vibration noted. Looked a nice ride. Take care
You got the US market for the 2021 NC to yourself I think right now 😁 This is on my short list for next bike. Mine would be a manual though. You just need some luggage now and then you could skip the backpack . I’m sure Givi will have some soon if not already . I plan to do some two up touring with the wife as we are both relatively short and light 😁 Have you tried a passenger yet? If so how was the comfort on tha back? Looking forward to more videos. You do a good job on real world thoughts.
I was extremely lucky to have come across this bike when I did. Haven't had the opportunity for a passenger yet. On the storage, I'm researching a top rack rather than side bags at this time.

That´ra is your bike. This bike is for commuting and city. I love the comfort but I love engines........powerful!. Soo, I can´t buy this one. I was thinking in Yamaha Tracer 900 GT. If it were for a city I´ll bought a Honda X-ADV 2021.

I think you get pushed around more with the wind because the gas tank is in the back and its just storage in the middle. So low center gravity is what i would assume?
I have had mine 18 months now, I have been a life long advocate of Honda. My biggest complaint about this motorcycle is the poor build quality. To keep the price low honda have cut a lot of corners and that is to be expected. But in UK weather this bike is a rust bucket. My forks, fork yoke, and rear brake lever have all started rusting. My dealer fitted main stand is seizing. Very poor quality components. I am disappointed with the drop in Honda standards.

Hi I live in Ireland and we gets lots of wind and rain. About 30 years experience and heavier bikes are less prone to crosswinds. I found if the wind is constant lean into it, but trying to fight it only exhaust you, go with it. Rain teachs you to be smooth so use rain as a learning experience. Have fun looking to buy one soon. Can you tell me if the brakes are linked?
Tall riders, over 5'9", and a lousy windscreen/faring seem to always complain about the issue of lots of wind turbulence which the rider is calling cross wind. Strong cross winds push the rider ad the bike laterally side to side on the road. This disadvantage is why I won't purchase the bike. I own a Honda 1998 ST 1100 and dont have this issue at all after I replaced the windscreen with a Clearview +4". I also have heard it is a tight riding position for taller riders and I am 6'1". Too bad, I like the bike but must be comfortable. I am likely going for the Triumph 850 instead. Thanks for the review, take care.

Nice video. I have the Forza 750 in the UK and love it. I'm happy that I can at least get the NC750X as I'm moving back to Canada. I tend to keep it in Sport Mode, even in town, mostly for the engine breaking... and it just always feels in the right gear for me.

I have a 2020 nc750x dct, crosswinds are terrible but you do get used to them.
The windshield is also terrible, I went with an extension and couldn't be happier. Add some hard panniers and ditch the backpack 😉
I have a 2021 DCT model, it's not boring. The previous model however certainly was and that's where the tag originated.
The 2017 DCT is not boring at all. It accelerates quickly if you get it in right gear.
Most of the changes are minor (tweaks) in nature, and do not affect the "personality " of the bike. A great all rounder, which can be personalized to one's liking. I've owned 20 different motorcycles, and found none of them boring.
@@donmacquarrie6699 Yes, so true. I had as much fun on the smaller engined bikes as I have had on an 1100. My current and previous bikes are midrange 700-750. A mix of less weight and enough power.
Great to see you enjoying the bike. It one of these bikes that is often by passed by a lot of people but it a great all rounder and we know it :) The tyres on my bike only lasted 3k miles and I do not rag it it so be interesting to see how you get on.
i ride Suzuki dl1000...the Givi windshield works good for me. This type of bike has a large side area exposed to to side wind which does push me around. I slow down and tolerate it.

Another great review. Thanks. For people asking about standing up on this bike, this is definitely not an 'adventure' bike in the sense your adventures are partly off-road. This is now more a paved road bike than ever before. It still has the suggestion of adventure bike styling to it but that's as close as it gets to any kind of off road prowess, so standing up comfort is immaterial.
I can stand on mine..theres no problem. But it's not an off road motorcycle. 80% street 20% off off road. Rarely mi ne is on an off road because my riding isn't for that purpose. The African Twin is designed for that.
I ride a cruiser and an NC750X. It's height, weight and seating position. Heavier bikes don't move as much.
Yeah, I definitely never noticed my Harley's getting blown around by crosswinds. They were all much heavier with a lower seat height.

Do they only come in red in the US, as I've heard? I have a red car that's very similar in color but might not be the same.. if they are different red it sure would clash. That's not a deal breaker but I would prefer the blue.

14:21 I have noticed the 2021 NC750X also comes with Metzeler Tourance Next tires fitted on some bikes. They are definitely a better road tire and I will make sure the one I buy has them equipped. Either way they’ll be replaced with Michelin Road 5 as soon as is reasonable to do so.

You will always get pushed around more from cross winds on a taller lighter bike. One of the trade offs vs. easier to flick around at slow speeds and curves. Nice video, great scenery.

I bought an NC750X a month ago and rode a few times in windy weather. I cannot say that the wind blew me around but it definitely affects my trajectory. To reduce it, I had to lean forward close to the steering wheel. This is my first bike and I do not know what to expect from windy weather.
My current bike (Triumph Tiger Sport 660) doesn't seem to get blown around as much. I'm not sure why, but it has less fairings on it for the wind to push against. Maybe it just cuts through the wind better.

I just bought the 2023 model. Haven’t changed the first oil and filters yet. Also own a new 2023 Forza 750 back in Europe. Both are very nice. I almost like the NC better than the Forza for a number of reasons; a good $3,500 cheaper, etc.
Based on your videos, I’m going to give it a try at installing the centerstand by myself.
Did you buy the original Honda one?

I geot 76 mpg averaged over the last 5000 miles on my 2016 nc750xd. I have thought about getting the new one, but not before they have added cruise control..

An stand up perfekt and i 6.2..you have to lean a bit over the front wheel..thats the point of standing up,,so you have a lot front wheel downforce..
I ordered one in late February but it still hasn’t come in. I bought it as a second bike in addition to my Indian Touring bike. I think it should be a great bike for around town and day rides and your reviews seem to confirm that.

Hi great video, I have a 2014 NC750x & have noticed the side wind, I think it may have something to do with the low centre of gravity, but I maybe wrong.

Taller vehicles get shaken more due to wind turbulence.
Cross wind does affect this bike. My 2018 nc750x model with panniers didn't impact from the cross wind when i was loaded with luggage. I found using my thighs useful for cross wind. Yes it do it all bike.

Tire tread composition will help the all season Turing german made tires they will hold the road exstream lyrics well I have used them on all my bikes with no complaints sports tire are for good roads the German tires are good in all conditions on most roads the traction verses every 6 inches try them
Sails are tall and feathers get pushed by wind. So the taller and lighter the more you will feel crosswind gusts. So gain a thousand pounds and ride flat out on a motorized skateboard. PS I love my NC with DCT
