James, been there done that on a 72 Corvette. Also the fuel filler is on the flat topped rear deck. There is a "rubber boot" around the filler neck with a 1/4" hose down under
the car. The drain blocks up with leaf debris or a pine needle and the boot fills with water. Then when the night temperatures come the tank air contracts and the water is sucked
into the fuel tank. Wash the car, more water into the tank. About 2 miles down the road and the fuel injection is running on water and you are walking. The boot was eliminated
with extreme prejudice and stored in the box with the ashtray light bulb (cover closed and you don't know the battery is going dead) also the burglar alarm flasher from under
the lift out jack compartment a real conveniant place when the thing goes off from a hard shift on the interstate. How about the circuit breaker inside the cab under the dash
at the top of the firewall which doesn't autoreset and disables the electric windows and windshield wiper door when it rains. I want my Karman Ghia BACK!!!.

That sounds like hell!!!!! I have always liked LOOKING at corvettes! just look at other peoples problems.
There is a perforated plastic plug in the bottom of the drain hose. It easily gets plugged with debris. After removal of the plastic trim near the corner off the door frame I popped it out by pulling on the hose with a pair of needle nose pliers.
Great tips on how to lubricate and pull your hose. I guess the previous owner was thinking, it's not the size of your hose but how you use it. Obviously, he's inexperienced in that field.🤣

How do you get to the drain holes if your sunrroof isn’t working though. Is there a way to manually open it
