I’m not the first person here to say this, but the fact that as a tourist, André, is making an effort to speak Polish is very rare and Poles do appreciate that.

Poland is under attack by propaganda, CNN, BBC, Russian propaganda, which the Western media have liked to spread for 8 years ... as time has shown, it was a game to destabilize Poland before Putin attacked Ukraine, but people in the west continue to misinform about Poland every day. My God, the people are so lovely and friendly. This video dispelled the stereotypes about Poland 🇵🇱 being racist. This is a village and not a multicultural ethnic diverse city. The worst xenophobic comes from people in the remote areas with little or no contact with foreigners and yet they're graceful willing to help with smiles. Thank you for this video.
Cities in poland arent diverse tho i mean in warsaw you can see some foreigners but isnt like they are more than 10% of the population unlike cities in germany england france or the netherlands
I don't think it's fair to say that people are more racist in more remote areas with less foreigners. They will be more cautious, curious, suspicious even, but this does not mean that they are xenophobic or racist. Multicultural and ethnically diverse cities are not utopias just by the virtue of their existence, and when you see large amounts of migrant workers and refugees in an area you can also see increased levels of racism among some working class populations whose traditional position in society is being undermined by increased competition for reduced wages. Studies show that immigration has a net positive effect on a country's gdp, but also that it has a negative impact on the working classes, the gap between rich and poor increases, but at least the gdp stats look good
poland being “racist” is a media smear campaign because they don’t want unrestricted mass immigration. as an african i’m sure you understand how this would feel for the Poles, western elites who run everything don’t like any nation or leader going against their set ideals
I was very impressed with the friendliness and open nature of the Polish population, in contrast to some of the news in the mass media, once upon a time I wanted to visit Poland ❤️

@EMBitTV dzień dobry we say when we want to say hello but it's also a wish to someone to have a nice day - dzień is a day and dobry is good, so it's a wish but as a greeting. To see somebody off and wish them a nice day we don't say dzień dobry so you need to get good in polish boah
Dear Andre, I hope you can fund more of your travels with these 'hidden' educative videos. I saw it randomly, attracted by the apparent title image, which picks up on the curiosity of people with a particular bias and assumptions, then I watched it whole while making pancakes with my little daughter and showing her what our Polish villages look like; it was so random and authentic, and it felt like we were walking there with you; we enjoyed these encounters with you. My daughter has never seen her country of origin (yet), and I was happy to show her a little in this way. There is much more to say about your video, but after reading your descriptive info above, it all makes sense now. Your excitement about seeing hens is hilarious; been living in the city too much?;-) By the way, this was not a local museum but the backyard of someone's house, haha. Careful entering someone's backyard sometimes, but with your open and friendly attitude, people certainly feel relaxed, curious and refreshed wherever you go. I would like to see such a random village video of yours from a country like Tunisia, Kuwait, or Bahrain. Polish people (and people in all countries) are generally curious and open-minded toward encounters and meeting people from other cultures and people who look different. But once immigration reaches some critical mass, certain groups of people stop being open and see them as a threat. We are still far away from societies being united and living a new reality that is not 'them against us'. I doubt this will be possible, assuming this is engrained in human nature of survival. This an important topic requiring research about it to be known globally and locally in all corners, so we can all relate more and understand how our worlds work.

Poland is a beautiful country sadly not properly promoted across the world. People are amazing.
True and true
Poland is under attack by propaganda, CNN, BBC, Russian propaganda, which the Western media have liked to spread for 8 years ...
as time has shown, it was a game to destabilize Poland before Putin attacked Ukraine, but people in the west continue to misinform about Poland every day. Brussels liked it best, using Russian propaganda about Poland for its own purposes. There is no justice in the world.

I'm in Poland small city . Untill you're friendly person there's no reason I'd treat you badly.
How can anyone be racist to a polite smiling human.
I was very impressed with the friendliness and open nature of the Polish population, in contrast to some of the news in the mass media, once upon a time I wanted to visit Poland ❤️
Mass media is crap. They see racism everywhere and especially where there is none. Lies and distortion are their bread and butter.
What pisses me of is that my president Joe Biden once called Poland "authoritarian" for no other reason other than Poland refused to allow mass migration of millions into Poland and refused to be pressured into doing so by .
on the media only the most bad and shouting people are visible. The normal people of Poland are just like that, normal, and friendly. I think this is true for the majority of countries on earth. Hate is a political thing, but the majority of us just want to live in peace. Greetings from Poland.

As an American speaking for myself, when non English speaking foreigners make an effort to speak English here, I feel the same way. I don’t care if it’s broken English, mispronounced words etc. Its the effort that I appreciate.
Wykazał zaangażowanie i zainteresowanie polskim językiem i kulturą.

Is Poland better for blacks to live than America?
@@johnnydoe9969 yes. from polish person, black people are welcome in poland. though there are not many black people here, so it is quite rare, but poland is still very nice to everyone no matter the race

I’m from Saudi. My dad went to Poland for some business trip and he loved it. I always thought they might not be friendly and they would be ultra nationalists, from what I see in western media, but my dad said they were very welcoming and friendly.
Definitely in my bucket list to visit Poland!
You can love your country and be kind to others at the same time
Hardly the same would happen in Saudi, just saying
This is more common in smallers towns and so on. But in places like Warsaw and Krakow this should be a less concern.
As pole I wish to visit saudi actually
Blaming everything on western media has been so trendy lately. I’ve had polish uber drivers tell me not to visit because “people there are a little racist” so there must be some truth to it if it’s coming from the horses’ mouth.
I believe there is this one magical tip to travel in Polan while being from any other country - if you at least try to speak some polish, people automaticly will be more friendly from the very start
That happens everywhere in the world. People trust more those that try to speak their language.
Pretty much a universal rule, except maybe in countries where its kinda expected like usa or uk
For those who can't understand, the thumbnail is race baiting clickbait, sadly. The man in the thumbnail is helping give directions to Andre about finding a shop.

It's so nice to see how genuine and friendly folks are, trying to be understanding and kind in most every interaction. Poland seems like a lovely place to visit.

if you like sweets - try "Ptasie Mleczko" from Wedel and candies "Michalki" and "Krówki". They are the best and the most typical sweets from Poland and I am always taking them for my friends in CZR.

Tikitaki i kasztanki but for westerners who are used to sweets with more sugar it might be not that tasty
Wedel is not polish, it's German. Actually it's hard to find some real polish company's. Only some local small personal manufactures but of course not available in shops..

It is so cute looking at someone exciting over things considered normal or even trash. Since I was raised in a small polish village that has only like 300 people I see wooden houses, huns, goats, turkies, cats, horses, hand made equipment all the time. Yet you get so happy when you see one. I love that. Also If you're in Poland don't be afraid to pet someones animals unless they look dangerous. People here don't rll mind especialy when they see a traveler or someone from abroad
This is great, as a Polish Canadian I’ve visited family in Poland quite a few times. And it’s amazing to see someone trying to learn the language and interact with the locals! Also it’s kinda funny cause it’s a bit of running joke that no one has ever seen a black guy in Poland
That’s bullshit there many black people in Poland I visit Poland a lot my son is half Polish I come across a lot of black and Asian speaking polish
I think the Dom Ludowy (People's House) is a kind of community centre where you can hold wedding parties, big meetings etc. One of the best weddings I have been to was in the Dom Ludowy in a small town in Poland.
I came home 1 day ago after driving around in southern Poland for 4 days. As a finn a have to say that Poland is amazing. Clean, tidy and felt very safe. My apoligies to all poles for not knowing your language at all.
2:07 in Poland we do not say "Dzień dobry" when want to wish someone a good day (even if it sounds similar), we say "Dobrego dnia"/ "miłego dnia" :) saying "Dzień dobry" while actually trying to say good bye to this old man sounds a bit weird :) besides your polish is really great :) greets
yea its like saying hello instead of goodbye xd
Yes, you are right but sometimes it happens. My son's friend (of Polish origin) says "Dzień dobry" in the way you have described. Besides this, he knows only "świnka" and "pasek". 🙂
no nie wiem gdzie się tak mówi... 'dobrego dnia' to niemal jak kalka językowa 'have a nice day' - po polsku to 'MIŁEGO DNIA' nie lepiej???
Mówi się kurwa nie słuchajcie go
@EMBitTV dzień dobry we say when we want to say hello but it's also a wish to someone to have a nice day - dzień is a day and dobry is good, so it's a wish but as a greeting. To see somebody off and wish them a nice day we don't say dzień dobry so you need to get good in polish boah
Polish, Czech and beautiful English. Very nice to hear and watch. Good luck on your adventures!
Doing great job!
Poland is beautiful 😊
