How Do Polish Villagers React To a Black Foreigner? (Social Experiment)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 25 вер 2022
- There is a stigma around black people when it comes to traveling in certain countries, especially in Eastern Europe. Is it because some people of colour complain about their experiences in European countries as a minority and how they think they are not treated well? In my travel videos across Europe I have been documenting my own reality of life as a foreigner and my experiences on how I engage with the local people I come across on my journeys where ever it is on or off the camera all of my encounters are the same.. My travels are comfortable and enjoyable and definitely loads fun. I do not feel like a victim or threatened because my colour when I travel. I believe this channel can educate people from an aspect that not all people of colour are always discriminated or judged, this can be seen in all my films from me showing my encounters in some of the most remote places I have visited in Europe such as, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and England. Although I know some people are racist but for their own reasons.. What advice can I give to anyone that wants to travel no matter the country you travel to or what your colour is. Be fearless, friendly and open to learn a few phrases for interactions, because I know it takes a lot of effort for people and confidence to approach a random stranger and start a conversation and that’s what my spontaneous village travels are about - interacting with the locals and showing how life is on the outside of the big cities and towns. Watch me on this village tour which is far from a touristic location where foreigners usually don’t go. Let’s have look how the Polish people interact with a foreigner. I Took The Wock To Poland. 😎

The man was so nice and patient I’m black British and staying in a village as well about 31km from Warsaw centre. I can say it’s a a similar experience. Sometimes people stare in disbelief but if you chat with them or say “hello” they will greet you back
I even visited a farmer there and at the time I was playing for a football team called “Ursus” Warszawa and he had a tractor 🚜 nearby. we had a little laugh about that and saw his pony too. Polish village > South London - Local foods, local poultry, raw honey, local vegetables.. it’s pure class.

Poland is a beautiful country sadly not properly promoted across the world. People are amazing.
True and true
Poland is under attack by propaganda, CNN, BBC, Russian propaganda, which the Western media have liked to spread for 8 years ...
as time has shown, it was a game to destabilize Poland before Putin attacked Ukraine, but people in the west continue to misinform about Poland every day. Brussels liked it best, using Russian propaganda about Poland for its own purposes. There is no justice in the world.

Dear Andre, I hope you can fund more of your travels with these 'hidden' educative videos.
I saw it randomly, attracted by the apparent title image, which picks up on the curiosity of people with a particular bias and assumptions, then I watched it whole while making pancakes with my little daughter and showing her what our Polish villages look like; it was so random and authentic, and it felt like we were walking there with you; we enjoyed these encounters with you. My daughter has never seen her country of origin (yet), and I was happy to show her a little in this way.
There is much more to say about your video, but after reading your descriptive info above, it all makes sense now. Your excitement about seeing hens is hilarious; been living in the city too much?;-) By the way, this was not a local museum but the backyard of someone's house, haha. Careful entering someone's backyard sometimes, but with your open and friendly attitude, people certainly feel relaxed, curious and refreshed wherever you go. I would like to see such a random village video of yours from a country like Tunisia, Kuwait, or Bahrain.
Polish people (and people in all countries) are generally curious and open-minded toward encounters and meeting people from other cultures and people who look different. But once immigration reaches some critical mass, certain groups of people stop being open and see them as a threat. We are still far away from societies being united and living a new reality that is not 'them against us'. I doubt this will be possible, assuming this is engrained in human nature of survival. This an important topic requiring research about it to be known globally and locally in all corners, so we can all relate more and understand how our worlds work.
Poland is beautiful 😊

My God, the people are so lovely and friendly. This video dispelled the stereotypes about Poland 🇵🇱 being racist. This is a village and not a multicultural ethnic diverse city. The worst xenophobic comes from people in the remote areas with little or no contact with foreigners and yet they're graceful willing to help with smiles.
Thank you for this video.
Cities in poland arent diverse tho i mean in warsaw you can see some foreigners but isnt like they are more than 10% of the population unlike cities in germany england france or the netherlands
I'm in Poland small city . Untill you're friendly person there's no reason I'd treat you badly.
I don't think it's fair to say that people are more racist in more remote areas with less foreigners. They will be more cautious, curious, suspicious even, but this does not mean that they are xenophobic or racist.
Multicultural and ethnically diverse cities are not utopias just by the virtue of their existence, and when you see large amounts of migrant workers and refugees in an area you can also see increased levels of racism among some working class populations whose traditional position in society is being undermined by increased competition for reduced wages. Studies show that immigration has a net positive effect on a country's gdp, but also that it has a negative impact on the working classes, the gap between rich and poor increases, but at least the gdp stats look good
poland being “racist” is a media smear campaign because they don’t want unrestricted mass immigration. as an african i’m sure you understand how this would feel for the Poles, western elites who run everything don’t like any nation or leader going against their set ideals
How can anyone be racist to a polite smiling human.

Racism nhi ha waha
How are you Mr. Hari,i hope your life is good here in Poland. God bless. Pozdrawiam.
@@truthbird1527 I was in Ukraine and I had to come to India. Unfortunately, my flight was from Warsaw so I had to go there. Yup I was just waiting for a comment like you. I was just waiting for the racism. By the way , wtf do you guys settle in UK ? Was it brought by your ancestors ? How shamelessly you guys yourself immigrate to west but show racism to other people. I doubt if even 0.01% of polish population is Indian ? If you would have not been part of EU and Shenegen you would have been one of the poorest countries in Europe.
@@truthbird1527 I myself am a trans girl and I was never raped here. Nobody knows with how many people your parents slept. Everyone is just cheating there. We might be poor but we are happy (my parents make thrice of what an average pole earns) ,
whites immigrating ! 😂😂
Wasn't Hitler white ? Isn't Putin white ? Why are you so scared of them ? EU has threatened you so many times bcz of your anti lgbt stance. Aren't those western Europeans white ? 60% of my friends are white. I have visited to most countries of western Europe(except Netherlands) I never felt disrespect or racism. My best friend is from Manchester. Indian Americans are the richest social group in US. Indians are just 2 % of England but we contribute to 6 % of total world economy. We were one of the richest countries until colonalisation happened and the golden bird will again fly , sooner or later.
Wow, The people were so welcoming and friendly even when the guy was being too intrusive. I am in love with Poland now 🇵🇱
I've met a few Polish people who traveled to US and talking to them and asking about how they see the world, they're definitely kind people. Ofcourse in every culture there will be mean people but don't like 1 worm ruin a whole pot of soup.

Positive attitude and smile will always give you help and new friends. By the way, the elderly man in the hat was explaining to you that you can call for a taxi, it is very cheap and it is a bit unsafe to walk on the road without a pavement.
The people seem nice and patient.
Thank you for sharing this nice experience!
As an American speaking for myself, when non English speaking foreigners make an effort to speak English here, I feel the same way. I don’t care if it’s broken English, mispronounced words etc. Its the effort that I appreciate.
Wykazał zaangażowanie i zainteresowanie polskim językiem i kulturą.

I’m from Saudi. My dad went to Poland for some business trip and he loved it. I always thought they might not be friendly and they would be ultra nationalists, from what I see in western media, but my dad said they were very welcoming and friendly.
Definitely in my bucket list to visit Poland!
You can love your country and be kind to others at the same time
Hardly the same would happen in Saudi, just saying
This is more common in smallers towns and so on. But in places like Warsaw and Krakow this should be a less concern.
As pole I wish to visit saudi actually
Blaming everything on western media has been so trendy lately. I’ve had polish uber drivers tell me not to visit because “people there are a little racist” so there must be some truth to it if it’s coming from the horses’ mouth.
Wow! Totally different reaction compared to the thumbnail lol! I live down the street from a Polish Restaurant. I love the service there and the food. The people who run the shop are all Ukrainian or Polish. My kids and I visit when we are craving Pierogi and Schnitzel. I read a lot about Poland during the World Wars. They’ve been through a shit ton of hardships, the last thing I would do is imply that the people are racist. Anyway, I’m planning on visiting Poland…a lot. Beautiful country side and I’m sure the food is freakin’ amazing! 🫶🏼
I‘m very surprised of their kindness and hospitality! I heard so many negative things about behavior of polish people to black or obviously muslim people but these videos changed my meaning😍
We are friendly 🙂 Greetings from Warsaw.
It's so nice to see how genuine and friendly folks are, trying to be understanding and kind in most every interaction. Poland seems like a lovely place to visit.
