FYI, I created this from a home or apartment user perspective. I did testing in heat and the Active runs pretty cool compared to cheaper pressure washers. I had no issues. I however do not have data on heat in the toolbox being used in a high volume setup such as mobile detailing. I would suggest some type of battery powered fan to help airflow.
Keav slowly working his way up the UA-cam detailing channel leaderboards. Bro's a genius especially since you can close the top and it instantly makes it quieter.
May be quieter. But a good chance of not getting enough circulation of air. And overheating. But it's definitely a great ideal put a couple of fans in the box to pull out hot air would be cool. Even thou it has holes. I think it still can over heat. Cause when on. The pressure washer is going to put out heat
The 2.0 dissipates heat well and I tested 10 straight minutes of running and it was only warm to the touch. This was meant for homeowners where it would be most likely a single use and only spraying maybe 3 to 5 minutes at a time for each rinse. High volume for sure I would be concerned with heat. Fans o would be a good idea for that.

Yeah the fixfans is for sure meant to be mounted to a solid surface. That spring in there likes to move and it’s not balanced with the swing arm out front. It’s a much bigger reel so a metal cart might be the way most do these tool boxes are too small to hold it.
Thank You, if doing in volume some type of cooling system might be needed. For a single use it’s works great I just don’t have any data on long time use in a business.

If you are looking to use in a higher volume like multiple cars at a time it would be a good idea to add a battery fan for air flow to keep the unit from getting hit especially in the summer.
I have a bunch of Ridgid 2.0 boxes and their base box has NO indentations for the wheels. Wonder if that might be a good option for those that run Ridgid? Also have a few Milwaukee XL boxes. They are much bigger than the standard boxes from anyone else. That might be another option for those running Milwaukee. Could be interesting to stack other boxes in top. Are the other boxes water tight? If so, could use one or 2 as a wash bucket, also, use the crates for your “dirty” and wet used wash mitts, sponges, and towels. Seems like a ton of options to make a kit that is all the same line of boxes and attach to each other
The drawer tops are nice as well to store items. I went to Lowe’s and Home Depot and just checked box they had in stock. I think the Ridgid would have been my second choice due to the wheel arches like you stated do not take of interior space. All great ideas the hard part is buying stuff not knowing if it will even work.
This would be awesome if you can get the active 2.3 to fit without the cage and the hose with the same retractable hose reel etc. almost like a wash cart but can still cut down on noise by adding some reading material inside.
Kinda like this idea as my water source is a little bit away and plumbing the garage is maybe a longer term goal. What do you think would be a clean way to add a DI water to this wash box setup?
Keav, thanks so much for posting these videos. And for figuring out the adapter fitting so that I can put an aftermarket hose on my Giraffe hose reel to replace the failed one. I have a wall mount setup and will replace the hose with an Uberflex (using a Ryobi 1800psi, so should be no problem). Anyway, how did you cut the hole in the hose reel to accommodate the M22? You mentioned "cutting wheel", was that on a dremel? I have an angle grinder with cutting wheels but doubt that will get in the small space. Thanks!
Ryobi hand tool that is a lot like the dremel in size. Just smaller versions of the cutting wheels you see on an angle grinder. I tried mine would not fit in there so went with the smaller tool which does take a bit longer to make the opening. 1800 Ryobi will be perfect with an Uberflex hose for sure.
The gray one or the smooth jacket blue one? Gray one should fit just barely maybe a little overhang on the last row. You oils have to not use the stock guide as it takes up too much room you need all of it to fit. You would need an m14x1.5 to 3/8 female thread adapter in order to connect and find someway to get the hose to spool up with cutting into it or bending it too much.
What about overheating? I have something similar but I have a built in intake and exhaust outlet with PC fans blowing air. I also made channels for the air flow so the sound has to bounce around before exiting the box. Also I used foam as well.
That sounds like a great idea. For a homeowner or apartment dweller single use it should be fine. I did some testing even running for 10 straight minutes holding the trigger down and it was just warm. 2.0 dissipates heat better than most of the cheaper pressure washer as it does have heat fins. Volume business airflow is a good idea.
Heat will be an issue. I tried something similar in a cabinet and it got too hot. These pressure washers need air flow for cooling. Just my thoughts. Looks great though.
@carswithkeav when you bought your Giraffe retractable reel, did it come with the hose? I already have a 60ft Adam’s 1/4in . The Amazon link you put seems to include the Hose…Thanks again!
Yes it comes with a hose that is not very good. I had already reviewed the reel in another video with the stick hose so this was a continuation of that video more or less as at the time we had no idea the threading of the reel. So I had to cut that hose and repair it to allow me to use other hoses. ua-cam.com/video/xZhRynRcC1c/v-deo.htmlsi=-G4vTNQQkqgswKVX
Sound proofing would be even better. If using in a volume business such as mobile detailing a battery fan for airflow would help with the heat it will create.
@CarsWithKeav that's a bummer... The cart is not an option for me either due to restrictions. I might go with the stainless steel shelf, then. The only issue for me is that I don't want to leave it outside due to the extreme heat I experience in my area. I also want to explore an option with some type of hook system. Anyways, it's gonna to be fun... Thanks for the reply.
What’s up keav, I’ve been new to ask you what type of hood stand are you using when demoing your different pressure washers and products. I like how yours rotates.
In the configuration I have it does not. Trying to figure one out, but the power supply on the 2.3 sticks out too much and you can’t connect the jumper hose to the reel.
@@DylansDetailing Awesome! Bear force works great just don’t drop it. If heat is a concern several suggested like a small battery fan to get some airflow.
@@CarsWithKeav lol yeah it doesn’t seem to be the most durable, and that’s a great idea! I was just comparing the size of a Craftsman to the Active 2.0 to see how close in size they were. The craftsman seems to be a bit bigger so a fan would definitely be helpful if it all fit well
@@DylansDetailing I tried with the Craftsman, but couldn’t get it to work I’m sure with modifications it would work I was just not wanting to spend anymore time or chopping up the tool box anymore. The height of the craftsman was in the way of the input to the reel.
Have you had problems with the Griots Boss foam cannon weighted ball rusting? I had the brilliant finish foam cannon and after some time the weighted ball was rusting a lot. Not sure if the boss foam cannon is higher quality in that area
They both had rusting issues when they first came out. Griots was replacing them upon request. They might still be doing that. I used an MJJC weighted ball as I was no longer using the auto meter nozzles and I’m using the MJJC manifold.
Hi Keav! I am looking into making this. Would the KobraJet 50' hose fit on that reel? I do like using that hose but I would think it would be too big to fit on tha reel. Love the content, keep it coming! -JR
Kobrajet is usually a pretty thick hose which would take up much more room. I would t try t that it would fit. This is designed for 1/4 inch hoses to fit.
Lower the number higher the PSI and less GPM and higher the number. Never tested a 4.6 on this Active 2.0 and the 4.5 I think is too little PSI. 4.0 is the sweet spot for a 2.0 in my opinion.
Not without modifying and removing the plastic outer casing. I had one I used to make a video a bit ago and could not get it to fit in stock form. This is what I did originally with a Greenworks and took the on/off button and had it mounted to the side of cart. Just felt it was too much modification to show nobody would want to go that far. Having the inlet and outlet on opposite sides makes it hard to fit, but you could have the inlet part sticking out the side giving you some room.
The 2.0 is a bit more exposed especially on the pump and runs cooler at least to me. Pump has heat fins to dissipate heat. I tested for ten straight minutes and temp is good. This is for sure for a homeowner or apartment dweller. I don’t have data on a high volume business though a fan setup that flows some air would probably help.
Nice demo on making a mobile box setup. I would be worried about the PW hose pressure exceeds the rating of that hose reel. Do you know how much they produce when they stop?
@@MyGuyKirby I see that is the Bluseal hose reel that holds my Flexzilla garden hose. The link for the reel is the Giraffe Tool 1/4 reel. Maybe I need to relabel them.
In my testing I had no issues and Active themselves see no problem if used for a homeowner. If doing multiple cars in a volume business during the summer it could be an issue. I would suggest a battery powered fan for some cooling and me I leave the top open most of the time. The 2.0 dissipates heat better than the cheaper pressure washers due to less plastic and the heat fins on the pump. Even the cheap ones some are enclosed in plastic with no cuts or venting and those things run high rpm screaming.
Keav, I've heard that the Uberflex doesn't work well with the Active 2.3, but this is the first I've heard about it being problematic with the Active 2.0. Can you elaborate on that? I know you test these pressure washers thoroughly and I trust your advice. I bought the Active 2.0 and 50-foot Uberflex Hose and was going to try it out this weekend.
What Active says is that the flexibility of the hose allows it to expand and contract quicker and messes with how the pressure switch judged to stop and start. Wire braided hoses keep the internal diameter from expanding keeping a more consistent pressure for the system to judge. I have proven out in a recent video the Uberflex causes my 2.0 to surge and when testing in the 2.3 it caused it to take an extra second to get started and would pause. I saw no other issue at the time, but using a wire braided hose never had the issue. The comments from the Active 2.3 video for sure validated the same issues I was having.
@@CarsWithKeav Thanks for the quick and informative reply. I watched your April 22, 2024 video The Best Pressure Washer of 2024!| Active 2.3 | Full Testing & Review where you discuss the Active 2.0 surging with the Uberflex hose. Do you recommend using the Blueseal Kevlar Hose with the Active 2.0?
@@jpstatum Works well with the Active it is what I used for a long time with the 2.0 before moving to the 2.3. Same strength as steel, but much lighter and less overall diameter.

Agreed, I didn’t even create it to stop sound it was just something I noticed when testing. The deadening might keep more heat in some type of airflow might be needed.
VE52 is too large unless you took it out of its plastic shell it’s possible. The orientation of where the input and output are will make it very difficult though. That’s why the 2.0 Is perfect like it was designed for it.
@@Clutan It’s the flexibility of the hose that allows it to expand more than it should making it hard for the pressure switch to do it’s job. There is no wire braiding to keep it from expanding too much.

My wife got whiplash from her head shaking at me trying to put this together over half a year. 🤣
Dope set up, I’ve never even thought about this and now I’m stoked.
If you are looking to use in a higher volume like multiple cars at a time it would be a good idea to add a battery fan for air flow to keep the unit from getting hit especially in the summer.
Sheeeesh this is tempting. Great job!
Fair warning it doesn’t spray rinseless. 🤣
It was 3/4 of an inch to wide and taller so it wouldn’t fit with the elbow from the reel. Tried every orientation, but just wouldn’t fit.
Yessss been waiting on this one!
Me too! 8 months. 🤣
that funny man cut holes in his tool box! freakin awesome 😆🐿️💨
Somebody has to do it. 🤣
Very nice!! I may have to copy you. Nice compact design.
Glad to have given a plan. Now others can make it and put their own spin on it.
Incredible idea.
Innovating great ideas
Thank you
Kinda like this idea as my water source is a little bit away and plumbing the garage is maybe a longer term goal. What do you think would be a clean way to add a DI water to this wash box setup?
Not much room in there for any DI filters you could maybe mount on the sides or keep on top and set it on the ground when needing to use it.
Keav this is really cool! Thanks for sharing !! Great idea!
Thank You
Great idea. I'm gonna put my active 2.3 in a wall mount packout box to keep it quiet.
Sounds like an idea just keep an eye on heat. For a homeowner should be no problem.
@@CarsWithKeav that'a my only concern with doing it.
@@stevel3881 it does have a built in cool fan on the motor. Lots of heat dissipating fins and it works at a lower amp.
1800 Ryobi will be perfect with an Uberflex hose for sure.
sick build !!! Any chance you remember what size bolts ended up being the right fit to install the hose reel ?
3/8” 16x1”
Any advice for my 3/8” x 50’ Kobrajet?
I like what you have going on here
The gray one or the smooth jacket blue one?
I think it depends on use. In volume yeah it could be a problem.
Just install a battery with a fan pointing out
I like this, thanks for thinking of it.
You’re welcome
Great video cool idea!
Thank You
@carswithkeav when you bought your Giraffe retractable reel, did it come with the hose? I already have a 60ft Adam’s 1/4in . The Amazon link you put seems to include the Hose…Thanks again!
Yes it comes with a hose that is not very good. I had already reviewed the reel in another video with the stick hose so this was a continuation of that video more or less as at the time we had no idea the threading of the reel. So I had to cut that hose and repair it to allow me to use other hoses. ua-cam.com/video/xZhRynRcC1c/v-deo.htmlsi=-G4vTNQQkqgswKVX
This a great setup nice
Thx
Would be nice if there is some sound proofing to dampen some of the pressure washer sound
Sound proofing would be even better. If using in a volume business such as mobile detailing a battery fan for airflow would help with the heat it will create.
I need one of this for a ryobi 1800. Let the games begin.
Ryobi doesn’t fit as good. That was my first choice, but didn’t work out.
@@EYE7SS No problem. It will fit it just would not work with a hosel reel in there with it, but you could easily coil the hose up and fit it in there.
What’s up keav, I’ve been new to ask you what type of hood stand are you using when demoing your different pressure washers and products. I like how yours rotates.
It’s this one. amzn.to/4bMPYuG It’s crazy good quality too.
Awesome....Awesome...Awesome idea! 👍👍
Thank You
Does this fit the new active 2.3. Incredibly tempting for me
In the configuration I have it does not. Trying to figure one out, but the power supply on the 2.3 sticks out too much and you can’t connect the jumper hose to the reel.
Oh I gotta try this now 🙌🏻
It’s works well just only concern would be in a volume business is heat.
@@CarsWithKeav that makes sense, thanks for the heads up & great vid!! Just bought the BearForce cannon cause of you too 🙌🏻
@@DylansDetailing Awesome!
The height of the craftsman was in the way of the input to the reel.
i wonder if u can do this with the 2.3
I tried the power supply gets in the way. You would have to get creative, but anything is possible.
@@CarsWithKeav thank you! Keep it coming!
-JR
Great job you should make them and sale them
I would if I didn’t hate retail so much. 🤣
@keav if you tested nozzle 4.5 and 4.6 what would be the difference?
Lower the number higher the PSI and less GPM and higher the number. Never tested a 4.6 on this Active 2.0 and the 4.5 I think is too little PSI. 4.0 is the sweet spot for a 2.0 in my opinion.
do you think the ryobi 1800 psi pressure washer can fit in there with same hose reel?
Not without modifying and removing the plastic outer casing. I had one I used to make a video a bit ago and could not get it to fit in stock form. This is what I did originally with a Greenworks and took the on/off button and had it mounted to the side of cart. Just felt it was too much modification to show nobody would want to go that far. Having the inlet and outlet on opposite sides makes it hard to fit, but you could have the inlet part sticking out the side giving you some room.
Don't pressure washers need some ventilation to prevent from overheating or are they all closed units?
The 2.0 is a bit more exposed especially on the pump and runs cooler at least to me. Pump has heat fins to dissipate heat. I tested for ten straight minutes and temp is good. This is for sure for a homeowner or apartment dweller. I don’t have data on a high volume business though a fan setup that flows some air would probably help.
ive seen one where they made a box witj a gas pressure washer and a 15g tank for mobile. bit jesus its expensive
Wow that sounds expensive
great idea thanks
You’re welcome
Thank you for the reply because I said that because I think I would’ve bought one
Maybe somebody will take the idea and run with it.
Nice demo on making a mobile box setup. I would be worried about the PW hose pressure exceeds the rating of that hose reel. Do you know how much they produce when they stop?
This unit with the nozzle runs at 1k PSI and I think internal pressure is 1800 PsI so far below the max ratings of either the reel or hose.
@@CarsWithKeav The link that pops up show this, 50 ft, 5/8 inch 500 maximum PSI hose. Thus a bit confused, sorry but had to ask!
@@MyGuyKirby That sounds like a garden hose I do have them linked as well since that is the hose that supplied the water.
@@MyGuyKirby I see that is the Bluseal hose reel that holds my Flexzilla garden hose. The link for the reel is the Giraffe Tool 1/4 reel. Maybe I need to relabel them.
@@CarsWithKeav Great, that makes more sense and is dedicated for PW hose! Links worked for the Giraffe PW hose reel.
Very innovative
Thank you
Is it bad to keep the active 2.0 enclosed inside a box? Will it generate too much heat?
In my testing I had no issues and Active themselves see no problem if used for a homeowner. If doing multiple cars in a volume business during the summer it could be an issue. I would suggest a battery powered fan for some cooling and me I leave the top open most of the time. The 2.0 dissipates heat better than the cheaper pressure washers due to less plastic and the heat fins on the pump. Even the cheap ones some are enclosed in plastic with no cuts or venting and those things run high rpm screaming.
Someone just randomly watching this would think this is a box that comes with your head and hands poking out like a jack in the box.
You never know… 🤣
Keav, I've heard that the Uberflex doesn't work well with the Active 2.3, but this is the first I've heard about it being problematic with the Active 2.0.
@@CarsWithKeav Thank you. One of the things that really sets your UA-cam Channel apart is the fact that you are always willing to help your subscribers and commenters with advice. I truly appreciate it.
@@jpstatum I will for sure do my best to keep up with the comments. Its getting harder with the growth, but if Pan The Organizer can do it at a million subscribers I should have no excuse.
Keav what would be the price if you were to build this for someone
Probably $750 with my labor involved. About $650 in materials. I for sure won’t be building anymore. I’ve moved onto the next project.
very cool👍👍👍👍
Thx 🙏
Do you think an active ve52 would fit in there?
It would fit in the box, but not with anything else. It’s pretty bulky you would have to remove the plastic outer shell to get it to hopefully fit.
you think it’ll work for the new active 2.3?
I tried the 2.3 power supply area takes up
too much room.
cool idea👍👍💪
Thank You
Add some sound deadening material & you’ll supercharge this setup
Agreed, I didn’t even create it to stop sound it was just something I noticed when testing. The deadening might keep more heat in some type of airflow might be needed.
Does the Active VE52 work in it?
VE52 is too large unless you took it out of its plastic shell it’s possible. The orientation of where the input and output are will make it very difficult though. That’s why the 2.0
Is perfect like it was designed for it.
Can I just order the whole thing from you, put together?
Sorry, I don’t sell anything. I just have fun creating stuff.
Cool!
Thx
Can the Uber flex 50ft hose fit in this?
Yes it can, but don’t use it with the 2.0 they don’t like each other and you can have surging issues.
@@CarsWithKeav I have been using the uberflex with the active 2.0 for almost 4 months and have had 0 problems
@@Clutan Wow, you got one of the unicorn ones. Congratulations! Very few out there.
@@CarsWithKeav i do use quick connects what that be why?
@@Clutan It’s the flexibility of the hose that allows it to expand more than it should making it hard for the pressure switch to do it’s job. There is no wire braiding to keep it from expanding too much.
What's the weight of the entire setup?
Sorry it took so long to respond I had it buried in a corner and finally got to it. Weighs 56 pounds and that is just the tool box, reel, hose and pressure washer.
@@CarsWithKeav no worries! Appreciate the feedback! It's a really nice setup

It’s so ‘fitting’ that that 2.0 has the dark grey and yellow colour too that matches the Dewalt box. This thing is sick I know you spent countless hours putting it together
I should have painted the reel to match. The color matching was all just the planets aligning because I was not thinking that at all. 🤣
Why am I only seeing this now! I had a wash bag, with 40v battery pressure washer. This is a UK pro detailer who used to use a hot hatchback small car for detailing ua-cam.com/video/ftSryDAc6dc/v-deo.html

@CarsWithKeav think there comes a point when it's too much work and you lose efficiency.
@@jcoul1sc Agreed, because you probably make some sacrifices as well to fit it all maybe not delivering the best possible job you could have done. @CarsWithKeav ok so the Oracle has called you on his last wash and whine. to stop reviewing new pressure washers. We don’ t need that. Only buy his Kranzle that are never in stock😊
🤣 Actually Imjoshv and myself did a podcast with him to go over our differences. We let him know how we felt and got our point across now would that ever change his mind probably not. I did just buy a Kranzle for the first time to finally review it as channel is making enough money to finally get one. Not much out there to review now so my focus is to build one or try one of those can pump pressure washers. Funny thing I bought it from him as he is the only one that sells the 1322ts hopefully it’s in stock if not the website isn’t so good and informing you of that. 🤣 Full price though not taking any handouts from him. I may or may not have used my own links to get a commission on my own sale. 🤣🤣
Please sell these setups PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY
If I didn’t hate retail so much I would try and the shipping would be expensive.
@keav what is the difference between Carzilla and the other companies
It’s just a distributor in Canada that will ship and sell to the U.S. and offers free shipping. With it being located in Canada there are no sales tax for U.S. buyers and they use Canadian currency and the U.S. dollar is usually stronger so when you use the U.S. dollar you usually get the item for sometimes at a good discount.
