This video was informative and worth watching again. I have been using the DIY perforated synthetic decontamination towel for a year and wow does it work. Only once did I have to bring out the Rag Company clay bar for a heavily contaminated vehicle. A fun fact about the DIY iron remover is how well it cleans too. On a job once I was on the platform ladder and noticed heavy contamination where the windshield and glass meet as this had not been cleaned in over ten years. I did not want to get down the ladder so I sprayed DIY iron remover into a detail brush and this instantly cleaned the heavily contaminated paint. Ceramic Gloss used with the clay n seal along with DIY rinseless wash is money. I do like the smaller clay mitt from the Rag Company for cleaning the glass on the interior side and I need to pick one up. Thank you for another cutting edge video Pan!
Very helpful and timely for me. One thing I found out the hard way is do not machine wash a synthetic clay product. Even using microfiber friendly cleaning products, the clay gets destroyed. Rinse and air dry only!
I use the clay and seal method in my shop all the time using beadmaker and a clay mitt. Pan's advice on the mitt in terms of speed is spot on. You can go a lot faster and not sacrifice the quality of the outcome.
Hi, love Pan's videos. Since you mentioned you use the clay and seal method was wondering if you could explain how to do it. I'm a do it yourself'er and love working on my cars and then sit back after a long day and admire them! Thanks!!
@@JohnReynolds123 p&s have a great video with Pan showing how to use beadmaker as a clay lube but essentially you spray the clay mitt or panel, then glide across the panel with light pressure until it feels smooth. Then use your drying towel to dry the area you've worked on.
Pan, thanks for the great information! I will be getting the DIY clay towel to use on my vehicles. I purchased the traditional clay bars and tried it in an inconspicuous area and messed it up. So I did not clay bar my truck. I had to get the buffer out to correct the spot! I really do value you and appreciate all the awesome information you give us. I am not a professional and only work on my personal vehicles. I just like them done right. I have tried several detailers, but was never satisfied with their work! My wife says no one cleans a car like it do! I tell her “You have to watch Pan! He is WAY better than I am!” 😎 keep up the great work and stay safe!
Heheh thanks for the kind words Jim! I appreciate it. I'm glad to hear that my videos are useful for my community, and that they can elevate your detailing game to the next level.

I've been waiting for this topic to be covered in detail. I'm not comfortable using a clay bar and wasn't sure about using a clay mitt or towel, or which one's to use. This has clarified things, so thank you Pan.

If you use a clay towel, do not forget to prime it by scrubbing a wet windshield with it first! Then remember that you are NOT supposed to apply any pressure at all against the paint.
I have that blue Rag Company clay towel, I've used it 3 times and used It each time with clay lube while the vehicle was wet and soapy and it made a lot of marring. Had to do a 2 step correction as a result.
Excellent breakdown and explanation of all these new perforated clay towels and how they can be used. Most comprehensive video I’ve seen so far on this topic. Lots of good tips. I’ve become a big fan of using the new Rag Company clay blocks and towel with DIY iron remover as per this video. Works amazing and huge time saver. Haven’t tried clay & seal yet so will try that next. Once Carzilla gets the DIY towel in stock I’ll for sure be purchasing.
I myself, like the clay bar because I can "feel" the paint better and know when it's really working or if I need a heaver clay. Note: I only use a bar when used with a stripping wash soap and not once the car has been protected, then use a clay towel once a month after the whole car was protected. "Me and my clay bar are one with the car". It's also nothing for me to use 2 bottles of clay lube on a car, just so I know I'm getting enough lube.
Agree that one advantage of a bar is that the clay bar gives you a true feel. Another trick is to cut small working bits so you dont rrash a whole or larger piece if it hits the floor
I find the clay bar and the towel hard to grab, Ive drop them many times... and the autobfiber clay towel broke on me twice. I will try the mitt or the bigger foldable towel for better handling.
EXTREEEMLEY informative; thank you! I was taught how to clay bar almost over a decade ago by my uncle (but didn't know about micro-marring from it till much much later). Saw some of these coming out recently...but was stuck in my ways a bit (also b/c had a fresh clay bar in package still). This video has converted me for next year when I clay my car and the family car; these just sound like the best of most.
So will these allow more often claying/decontamination without removing paint protection without needing to polish or compound after use like traditional clay media? I know you mentioned it some but some clients cars always have tons of new tar or the little fallout dots that still stick to the ceramic coating
I’ve used that Adam’s clay mitt and iron x and Adam’s iron remover with good results, they mitt looks exactly like the one from TRC and McKees, packaging and all so I’d be my guess they come from the same place
I used one of those cheapo synthetic clay mitts I got off Amazon (looks like McKee's but crappy plastic-like "clay") on my black car during a rain, thinking that would ensure I had more than enough lubrication, and it induced minor scratching! All the bodylines looked like hell til I polished and there were 1 or 2 fine scratches I could see on every panel in natural light. I know for a fact I did not apply pressure, the only mistakes I can think of is I probably should have got a brand name clay mitt, and I probably did not scrub it hard enough against the windshield first to prime the surface. Lesson learned.
@@caseG80 A clay lubricant is like 95% water, so water is definitely enough, especially since I was doing this in the rain. The problem was that the clay media on the mitt was almost like a plastic sort of thing attached to the mitt, and it had pokey corners and I hadn't noticed until it was too late.
My 15 yr old son is detailing to earn money and is quite good. This video will help. To save time he will need to decide whether to combine Decon and clay or ceramic spray and clay. I would recommend you look at and review technicians choice 582 ceramic spray. I’m sure you know it is quite popular and it works well as a combined clay, and finish at the same time.
Is it as effective or more effective in your opinion? Like the idea of a clay mitt while washing. Would you wash, then clay wash? Or is that a redundant step.
Clay mitts have the ability to absorb a lot of clay lube media such as rinseless wash or a very lubricating car shampoo but they shouldn't be used on a dirty car just like any claybar as you might induce deep scratches and marring
Always wash the car first, before claying! You don't want to be rubbing that extra loose dirt and debris further in the paint, causing more marring and damage!
Just in time, I need this for my brand new car. I wasn't sure how good this product would be, but if I avoid scratching it... it's a win. I still had unopened clay but I can use that on my old junker.
Don’t know what I’m doing wrong or why everyone is so hot and heavy on clay towels and mitts. I’ve got a 23 Subaru that was rarely out of the garage its first year of life. Black with perfect paint. It has a ceramic coating, and lately I’ve had to drive it quite a bit. It gets washed weekly, but has been picking up embedded road grime behind the front wheels mostly the lower half of the doors. A clay mitt/towel barely removed the grit. I used a lot of lubricant and had to apply more pressure than I was comfortable with. I grabbed a new clay bar and it was gone in five seconds with zero pressure. Is it me? Or are these mitts and towels being pushed by the industry as a new revenue source that will appeal to the masses?
For my own car, claybar hands down. They say these clay mitts do about 90% of what a claybar does. These new ones bring that up a little? NV Purify does not degrade your claybar. God Bless
Yea this video seems really late to the game. I just checked my Amazon purchase history, and I got my Nanoskin synthetic "clay" scrubber in May 2015. And they were already out in the market for maybe 1 year by the time I got mine.
the worst nightmare of a professional detailer is to drop the clay bar on the ground. Please make a video explaining the common mistakes a beginner can do while detailing his car.

Awesome video sir, only time I use the clay bar is for overspray remover when the towels aren’t as aggressive enough. Appreciate ya going through all of it
Yeah... I learned to my expense that you can't use CarPro Trix as a clay lubricant when you use a clay mit... and it was a white car... The clay material turned to a tar like gelly and started spreading itself on the white paint... luckily, Trix itself was obviously able to solubilize the now spread clay material so I was able to remove the big black streaks from the car. Now I have to purchase a new clay towel...
Pan, This is really impressive advancement on the synthetic side of car detailing. Certainly a time saver and especially when used on a ceramic coating...Look forward to trying this out..
Yasou Pan, Thank you for another great video! I have a 2014 Chevy Malibu which has Never been decontaminated. I did the “plastic baggie “ test and it feels like sandpaper after I washed it. I started using P&S Absolute rinse less car wash after watching your videos along with the laser cut sponge, etc. I am confused about which DIY products to use with the DIY clay towel and have the following questions: 1. Which is the order to use the DIY products - do I use the DIY Iron Remover first and/or instead of or I do I use the DIY Ceramic Gloss? 2. What is the difference between the DIY Quick Beads vs the DIY Ceramic Gloss? 3. Would it be possible if you do a demonstration on these products? I learn so much watching you and explaining your expertise “tips and tricks!” Thank you, NIKOS
I wish I would have thought about the folding method when I first got my UCT. I recently picked up the scrubber back in June when was visiting TRC and absolutely love it but you definitely have a point, the towel is still a crucial tool for those hard to reach spots because of the flexibility.
PAN! I have a question!!! I’ve been spraying cars for years in a professional bodyshop in the UK. It gets very dusty in the Workshop from sanding. I want your opinion on the BEST way to remove the dust that collects on the car while it sits there waiting for the customer to collect. A quick air blow off, and a light wipe over with a California duster or? A detailer and clean lambs wool cloth perhaps? I do not want to wax or seal the car in anyway, or apply any detailer that requires moderate buffing or may cause smears. I just want to remove dust without causing scratches. And adding a super glossy deep slick shine, is secondary, and I only want that if it’s super easy and quick, otherwise, extra slickness doesn’t bother me, just want dust removal in that case. I want to do something that takes just 5 minutes and no effort, to clean dust off an entire car. I would consider a detailer that’s super fast to use and takes next to no effort to buff smears off nicely. I love Meguires detailer but still don’t know if what I do, puts tiny swirls in or not. What would you suggest? Worst part about detailers I find is getting it on the edges of windows ever so slightly, then trying to wipe it off cleanly, and the black sticky dirt on the rubber seals and plastic trims, rub along the edges of glass making it super hard to get the spray off nicely.
Never dry wipe a vehicle with California dusters. Those are not good for the paint! If there's only a VERY light layer of dust, you could use a plush microfiber towel and quick detail spray to lightly mist and wipe the surface. But ideally, I would always prefer a proper hand wash. There are no real miracles to avoid scratches unless you are using proper washing and drying methods.
You did not mention that Mothers makes a very good, reusable clay bar synthetic. I have used clay for years, then three years ago I switched to the Mothers Clay pad, fabulous. Hi Pan, thanks for a very useful video. Have been put off using a clay bar due to the marring issue, and potentially creating another job (machine polishing). The DIY detail towel is out of stock at my usual supplier here in the UK. Quite pricey at £35.

What a useful video! Thanks Pan 🙂 I did no detailing for several years... Great to see that claying has been made way easier and versatile. As it avoids scratching the clear coat, I guess if I want to renew a wax, there is no more need of polishing after mechanic decontamination, right? Hey pan! Thanks for the recommending me to watch this video. Loved the explanation about how you can Clay and seal with these towels. Also, it doesn’t harm any of your protectants placed on the vehicle! Skeptical at first but I’m excited to use them.
These towels won't hurt ceramic coatings. But for waxes and sealants, you'll have to test and see. Coatings are much tougher than regular waxes and sealants.

Thank you for the detail explanation. I like the last part of the video where you mentioned about claying and sealing. This would really help motivate me to take care of my car and not feel bad spending hours away from my family.
Just watching another past video of yours on the P&S Bead Maker…. How would you compare P&S Bead maker to Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray? I had watched your previous vide and learned about Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic spray and have used it since. But after watching your yesterdays video, i am curious about P&S. I’m a weekend DIYer and by no means an expert but LOVE to keep my car shinny smooth, water beading results and of course gain time back.
You can’t compare both products. Bead Maker is just a regular paint sealant. Not ceramic. It doesn’t last that long (3-4 weeks in general). Where it excels is for gloss and slickness. So we use it as a maintenance topper over existing protection. The Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating is a long term ceramic based protection. If you apply two layers, 24 hrs between layers, it can last 8-9+ months. So you don’t use the Turtle Wax for regular weekly washes. But you could use Bead Maker after each wash as a drying aid if you wanted.
If the snow foam has enough lubrication qualities yes, many like to use that. I still prefer a dedicated clay lubricant personally. But before you clay, make sure the car is washed. Once rinsed, you can re-foam and then clay if you want to use the snow foam as a clay lube.
Gonna pick up the DIY clay towel and maybe the quick beads to do this. Might use the Iron Remover too. First time claying, so excited. Will let you know how it goes.
Quick Beads isn't meant to be used as a clay lube. It's a spray on rinse off sealant. If you want to do a "clay and seal" type thing, the DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss is a better option. See a video I made with Yvan from DIY Detail, where we show the "clay and seal" steps: ua-cam.com/video/WQH_RVOtrRA/v-deo.htmlsi=b86czyu8bLUiiYPN If you want to use Quick Beads, you'd have de wash the car first, then do the decon step with the DIY Detail decon towel and iron remover as clay lube (so you're also removing iron contamination at the same time), and then once you rinse, while the car is wet, you can spray Quick Beads, wait 30 seconds, and then rinse and dry the car.
@@PanTheOrganizer ok, thanks. Both ways are clear to me. I will decide which route to go. Do you have a preference? I get the spray on rinse off idea…I have used Meguirs hybrid ceramic wax, which is spray on rinse off after you’ve done the base coat. Should I choose the quick beads or ceramic gloss? Which one would you do?

Am I crazy for taking a typical clay bar breaking it in 1/2 or thirds and using it on just 1 car? It seems like using a single clay bar on multiple cars would mar the cars even more than a fresh bar.

Another EXCELLENT episode. I am unclear on the sequence after the initial wash. We use the synthetic clay towel with paint sealant to prepare the paint prior to doing the ceramic coating process. Question: do I then rinse down the car? Question. If I feel the need to use the iron remover product do i do it right after the paint sealant process. Prior to doing the ceramic coating? Thanks
You do NOT use a paint protectant before applying a ceramic coating. The goal before applying a coating is to clean, decontaminate the paint, polish it to remove imperfections and previous protectants, and IPA wipe to remove polishing oils and then apply the coating. See my ceramic coating application tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/sqQYVjxFqK0/v-deo.html
The question that remains: do all of these towels and pads actually work? On a clay bar you can clearly see all the contaminants. That's stil a big advantage.
You know it works as the paint becomes smooth. When you don’t feel the contamination anymore, it did its job. I have no need for claybars anymore except in the rare occasions where I have a super contaminated vehicle that hasn’t been clayed for years.
Yes you can clean clay towels, but not in your laundry. Just rinse them after use, and that's it. Let them air dry, ready for next use. If they're super dirty, rinse in warm water, spray some APC, lightly rub with your hands and rinse again. A traditional clay bar is typically good for 6 to 8 cars depending on the size of cars and how badly contaminated they are. Clay towels, especially higher quality ones like the TRC or the DIY Detail synthetic perforated decon towel are good for dozens and dozens of washes. And if you drop those towels, just rinse and reuse. Contrary to a clay bar that if you drop it, you have to throw it in the garbage. Welcome to my channel. Use a dedicated clay lubricant that leaves nothing behind. Something like this: amzn.to/4aKRtcp And if I were you, to make sure there is ZERO residue or anything left after you're done claying, I would wash the car again using a decon soap like this: amzn.to/3w4lg0M
Hello , Thank you for these videos they are very helpful. I have a 2023 vehicle that the dealership scratched up during washing it . I got them to pay for a 2 step correction without ceramic at a well known top detailing company which came out perfect not a single scratch left, but its been about 4 or 5 months and when I dry with micro towels they seem to resist so I think its time to seal with wax or some type of ceramic, but should I clay first ?
It depends if your paint needs claying or not. Wash the car, then rinse, then run your fingers on the panels especially the lower parts of the doors and bumpers. If you feel grit or contamination, it needs claying. If it feels glass smooth, you can skip claying. But for sure, when a car is freshly polished, ALWAYS apply some sort of protection afterwards (wax, sealant or ceramic coating). You don't want to leave your clear coat exposed to the elements unprotected.
As always another great video. I really enjoy them for information and entertainment. Here's a tough question. If you had to pick one brand for all of your detailing what brand would you pick? Feel free not to answer.
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. I often say I would never pick just one brand, as I like to find the best products from each brand. But certainly, CarPro and Gyeon and Gtechniq are top tier brands.
@Pan let say I have a vehicle that definitely needs a clay towel treatment as well as compound and polish. After that I apply Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax. Then I do maintenance washes with Meguiars detailer. 6 to 9 months in the finish doesn't pass the hand in the plastic bag test. Is it safe to use the clay towel to smooth that out even though I have been using ceramic waxes and detailers?
Hello Pan!! Thank you for all the content you have created, it has been a great help for my project to start my car detailing business in the coming months, I have a question, using the clay towel and iron remover to decontaminate the paint together is not a process abrasive right? So it is not necessary to use a polishing machine before applying any spray sealant or ceramic coating?

The time and effort you put into producing these videos is very much appreciated, Pan thank you 🙏
I appreciate that!
Def have to agree with Bob!@@PanTheOrganizer
Thanks for the feedback Neil! I hope you'll have a great weekend!
Thank you 😊
Very helpful and timely for me. One thing I found out the hard way is do not machine wash a synthetic clay product. Even using microfiber friendly cleaning products, the clay gets destroyed. Rinse and air dry only!
Thanks for sharing!
I use the clay and seal method in my shop all the time using beadmaker and a clay mitt. Pan's advice on the mitt in terms of speed is spot on. You can go a lot faster and not sacrifice the quality of the outcome.
Well said! Thanks for watching man!

I've experienced the same results with the rag co scrubber and won't use it again
Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you
I myself, like the clay bar because I can "feel" the paint better and know when it's really working or if I need a heaver clay.
These synthetic clay products make the process so much quicker. I don’t reach for a traditional clay bar very often anymore. I use TRC clay scrubbers.
Same here! I pretty much have no need for traditional clay bars anymore.
Glad it was helpful!
So will these allow more often claying/decontamination without removing paint protection without needing to polish or compound after use like traditional clay media? I know you mentioned it some but some clients cars always have tons of new tar or the little fallout dots that still stick to the ceramic coating
Just used clay first time. Regular bilt hamber. Audi Q7. Old one. Ugh. I’m so knackered.
I’ve used that Adam’s clay mitt and iron x and Adam’s iron remover with good results, they mitt looks exactly like the one from TRC and McKees, packaging and all so I’d be my guess they come from the same place
Adams say's its medium grade tho, might work better/faster but also has a higher chance of marring.
You need lubricant water is not enough
Glad it was helpful!
I've used the rag Company Ultra Clay Mitt. I couldn't figure out how to clean it. After watching your video, I'll try APC and a microfiber to clean.
A local Australian company Bowden’s Own has a claying rubber block that also works pretty well 👍🏻
After watching your last video, Diy Detail is my new go to range of products. Thanks for all the advice from the UK 👍

Thank you.
For my own car, claybar hands down. They say these clay mitts do about 90% of what a claybar does. These new ones bring that up a little? NV Purify does not degrade your claybar.
God Bless
NanoSkin was one of the first few companies that came with up product clay mitts and clay towels! :)

Correct. Never use chemicals with solvents in them if you plan on using them as clay lubricants. Solvents will damage the clay material.
I'm watching this video from London UK. Another absolutely fantastic video. More of these videos PLEASE.
Thanks!
I usually just rub a kerosene / napalm mixture on all the panels, and strike a match. It literally just burns off all the contaminants.
LOL!
Pan, This is really impressive advancement on the synthetic side of car detailing. Certainly a time saver and especially when used on a ceramic coating...Look forward to trying this out..
Thanks for watching Edmond!
Yasou Pan,
Thank you for another great video! I have a 2014 Chevy Malibu which has Never been decontaminated. I did the “plastic baggie “ test and it feels like sandpaper after I washed it. I started using P&S Absolute rinse less car wash after watching your videos along with the laser cut sponge, etc.
I am confused about which DIY products to use with the DIY clay towel and have the following questions:
I learn so much watching you and explaining your expertise “tips and tricks!”
Thank you,

I wish I would have thought about the folding method when I first got my UCT. I recently picked up the scrubber back in June when was visiting TRC and absolutely love it but you definitely have a point, the towel is still a crucial tool for those hard to reach spots because of the flexibility.
👍🏻
I used the Adams clay mitt on my car and it worked great!
I learned something new. Thank Pan! I’ll be buying a clay towel for my ceramic coated car.

Glad it was helpful!
@@PanTheOrganizer got it. As always, thanks for the explanation.
Fantastic video. Thanks so much, again, for all of your expertise!!
Thank you!
You can use a snow foam car soap as the lubricant?
If the snow foam has enough lubrication qualities yes, many like to use that. I still prefer a dedicated clay lubricant personally. But before you clay, make sure the car is washed. Once rinsed, you can re-foam and then clay if you want to use the snow foam as a clay lube.
@@PanTheOrganizer Why are you up at midnight, you need your rest buddy! Thanks for the info
Hehehe I go to bed very late at like 4 or 5 am typically. I'm a night owl!
See a video I made with Yvan from DIY Detail, where we show the "clay and seal" steps: ua-cam.com/video/WQH_RVOtrRA/v-deo.htmlsi=b86czyu8bLUiiYPN
If you want to use Quick Beads, you'd have de wash the car first, then do the decon step with the DIY Detail decon towel and iron remover as clay lube (so you're also removing iron contamination at the same time), and then once you rinse, while the car is wet, you can spray Quick Beads, wait 30 seconds, and then rinse and dry the car.
Towel and iron decon step is a great idea. And I also love Towel and Bead maker seal!

The ultimate clay towel from the rag company, the directions are so confusing. Can anyone further elaborate? It says don't wring it out and don't submerge it in water. So what can you do with this.
The Rag Company clay towels etc have been sold out in Europe for quite a while. Don't they deliver their products to Europe anymore?
Have you tried the Gyeon Iron Remover with the Clay Towel? I was advised it also works well, smells better and has lubricant.
I haven’t
Pan- you crush it every time- thank you for another great video!
Ah thanks man! I appreciate the support! Let's go!
Living in EU means that I can't have access to DIY Detail products yet. That Combo with the Iron Remover is someething I wannna to SO much from the moment I saw. Ofcourse my car doesn't need it right now, but it looks so efficient and satisfying 😂Tons of knowledge again!

Pan, I'm looking to combine the iron + clay decontamination steps into one.
For this do you recommend:
DIY Detail Iron Remover + Rag Company Ultra Clay Towel
OR
Carpro Iron X + Rag Company Ultra Clay Towel

Thanks for all the superb information from all your videos,I was wondering if any of these products can remove suncream hand print stains on car paint??
No. These are just meant to decontaminate the paint from embedded contamination.
As with most car detailing products, the evolution is on the way!! Thanks for yet another informative video Pan, ...keeping us up to date on the evolution. Years ago, you did a video on claying kitchen counter granite. Would you stick (hmm) to the clay bar application for granite, or move along to mitts, scrubbers or pads here too?
I never made a video on claying granite lol. Did you mean cleaning granite countertops? You don’t use clay on granite hehe.
There isn't a clay bar I've ever met that I didn't drop - 5 minutes into the job. Love clay towels!
Hehehe yeah we have all experienced the dreaded clay falling on the floor and then you're like "F**K!"

I have done 2 in and out details for family this week. Both about 6 hours each.
Just a house vaccum, wash, spray wax, and detail, door jambs. Results look great, but Is this normal work time? Not sure where I can speed up
It’s hard to evaluate those things without seeing how you work.
But if you want some ways to be more efficient at detailing, I have some cool tips in this video: ua-cam.com/video/33ChaMf8dCM/v-deo.htmlsi=qAJOPDIoaoTK3pIw
Am I crazy for taking a typical clay bar breaking it in 1/2 or thirds and using it on just 1 car? It seems like using a single clay bar on multiple cars would mar the cars even more than a fresh bar.
I'm leaning more towards the scrub. Mitt/ towel may get tiring over time.
Can a clay towel be used with ppf ?
Yes but be careful with anything you do on PPF.
Many thanks off to purchase a clay towel!
What chemical should we check for when identifying if an iron remover is safe to use with synthetic clay? Like adam's iron remover or iron x
Use iron removers that do not contain solvents in them.
Hi Pan! So a Clay Towel is better and more efficient then a clay Bar?
Which products do you recommend for leather cleaning and conditioning?
Modern leather doesn’t need conditioners. It needs to be cleaned and protected against dye transfer, friction damage, UV rays, etc
Here are the leather care products that took first place in my most recent car detailing products awards video: ua-cam.com/video/YFqRpJhkqJw/v-deo.htmlsi=MO6JYPg-bC6InhXx
I didn’t realize that this episode was focused on maintenance of a car that already has been ceramic coated. Thanks
@@PanTheOrganizeryes, that's easier when there are a lot of contaminants. But with regular claying you have the visual result of the claying process.
Is the rag company’s clay towel washable ? Either with rinse less wash or rags to riches maybe ? And how many uses can we get out of it ?

Great video, Pan. Lots of useful and necessary information. I take care of my car myself. I would like to ask, can I use Clay Towel and CarPro IronX Snow Soap? Is this option safe?
It's impossible to know all the combinations known to man, so you'd have to test for yourself and see.
I purchased black spray paint and clear coat for my 93 Buick Park Avenue to do some touching up, I know I need to clay the car, but I'm not sure what lubricant to use because won't most lubricants prevent proper paint adhesion, not sure what I need to do, please advise thank you Jack
Use a dedicated clay lubricant that leaves nothing behind. Something like this: amzn.to/4aKRtcp
And if I were you, to make sure there is ZERO residue or anything left after you're done claying, I would wash the car again using a decon soap like this: amzn.to/3w4lg0M
Thanks for the tip on how to break in the synthetic clay towels.
Thanks for watching!

In theory, quality synthetic clay towels and mitts like the ones linked shouldn’t cause any marring. But test on an inconspicuous area first.
