    Hi there. One thing I did for the Uber flex hose. I cut the black housing off one end, added a M22 male coupler, to at M22-14 female to 3/8'' plug. Works great! You just have to pull the hose through before adding the M22-14 female to 3/8'' plug. Wish I could load a pic to show it. Thanks for all the great content!

    Great video! On your recommendation I purchased and just installed this FixFans reel. For those wondering about max hose length capacity, I paired it with a 75 ft 3/8 inch Kevlar hose from BluShield (non-marking). This hose fits but the reel runs out of tension when rolling the hose back in. For me it keeps stopping short at the last 4-5 feet. This is not a show-stopper as you can manually turn the reel and wind in the final feet of hose. I mated this setup to a new Active 2.0 pressure washer and I am LOVING IT.

      @CarsWithKeav  Місяць тому

      Appreciate this info and testing the limits for us all. I thought it could fit 75 feet, but as we discussed the tension runs out. It’s not hard to hand turn 4 feet though. Hope you enjoy the Kevlar hose it’s so much lighter and thinner than the bigger 3/8 hoses.

      It’s a track home so unfortunately modifications are limited. But there is a 8ft wall section that’s perfect for mounting all the pressure washer equipment and a cabinet for supplies. I have the electrical placed where I want, added wood blocking for mounting equipment, and installed tubing for a future pex drop. Looking forward to having a dedicated spot to install all the pressure washer pieces.

Unfortunately I keep getting a leak on the swivel as I think the O-rings are not intended for high-pressure. I’ve replaced them and it still starts to leak again. Can you or anyone recommend a replacement swivel or some other way to deal with this? TIA.

    • @CarsWithKeav

      I am unsure on that I know some have tried to turn air hose reels into poressure washer reels, but I never went down that path. I hear its better to stay closer to 800 PSI versus 1k PSI and you tend to have less issues. Maybe somebody in the comments will be able to help. I know I have seen many nightmares with parts blowing failing and leaking and a few where parts blew off. Many end up no longer connecting the pressure washer and just use the reel for the hose storage then take it out each time to use.

    I’ve used this reel for about a month. It leaks where the line connects to the reel on the U pipe that the m22 quick connect goes into. I recommend caulking or using some type of sealant below the threaded end that connects to the reel itself. Trust me, do it before you hook the hose up and get it wound. I’m still having trouble with mine. I truly regret it at this point.

      Weird have had this on the wall for 6 months so far and no leaks. I did take pliers and tighten that as much as I could before setting everything up.

      @@CarsWithKeavyeah I tightened it too. There’s a review on Amazon where a guy bought 2 that leaked. It’s really hurting my business at this point. I like it other than that. I even tried putting a new O ring in it. Idk, I guess they can’t all be right. I’m just unlucky.

I have heard of pressure washer back pressure, but never had it happen to me or if it did my system handled it. Might be something I want to look into to add to the setup. @@CarsWithKeav I bought a seaflo pump installed it but the build up pressure would cause it to leak from the seals so I returned it. I would definitely appreciate it you found something and made a video about it. Would definitely help a lot of people especially for mobile guys like myself. I currently rebuilt my van setup and was looking forward to putting my pressure washer in the back area on top of a shelf where its out of the way and not visible but until I don't find a solution it won't happen
