I use to be first in line for detailing products but now i wait and support the research being done by detailers .. Active Foam Cannon v2 or 2.0 coming in January .. great video
Your content is just amazing. Really look forward to all you new videos. Can you share any info on the container that you have the DIY detail incredible suds diluted to 32:1 shown in the video at 13:36? Thank you!
Awesome video, Jeff just posted his video so now I'll go watch that. IMO the MJJC is still the reigning champ. MJJC Pro 2 and MJJC S V3.0 are just so good. I wish more foam cannons would use the m.22 quick connect. Its just so much easier to get to the orifice.
I had the same results. The Active Foam Cannon produces a nice, consistent spray of slightly wet foam compared to the thick dry foam of my light blue PWACCS. The packaging, construction, and overall presentation of the Active Foam Cannon is top notch! I can see myself starting to prefer the slightly wetter foam this foam cannon produces. When I want thicker foam I can just change the dilution to 30:1 over 32:1.
Thanks for the Great review and all the hard work you do putting out all these Awesome videos. I think for now I will stick with my MJJC. at least till I drop it. LOL. I do like how the Active doesn't leak. Thanks again for all the links too. Happy Thanksgiving
The best thing is to make a foam cannon with a rubber sleeve on the bottom. That will prevent it from cracking the rubber will soften the blow.Looks like a decent foam cannon. I have many different brands I have tried out. Thanks for the review ✊💎
As an MJJC S V3.0 owner I would recommend the Bearforce to anyone looking for a foam cannon. These $80/$85/$90 foam cannons are ridiculous. Everything is expensive as it is, bear force is plenty!
Agreed it’s all about what you want. I myself would pay extra for the quick connect top, but the bear force is such a great value. It’s like making your own regular coffee or getting Starbucks. It’s a choice that will cost you. 🤣
@ Oh yeah I agree, I love the quick connect top! If you’re an enthusiast and just enjoy spending your money on the higher end stuff then for sure do so. The Bear Force is best for 99% of people while the MJJC is better for us 1% who don’t spend money on drinking or smoking or other stuff and instead invest in our toys 😂
I have tried, but results are not good enough to say either way. The reason MJJC foams better is because it’s manifold is designed to siphon soap faster creating a richer mix of product, but the downfall of this is the bottle empties faster. So if you know the pull rate you can adjust the water mix in any foam cannon to make it foam the same without adding anymore product.
Active foam cannon actually seems solid. Curious if 5/16 allows you to have the same flow as the 3/8 from your dual pressure washer setup or if it causes some restriction like the 1/4. There are probably GPM ceilings based on diameter.
It would for sure do better than the 1/4 inch. Unsure on the 5/16 I would have to wait for my other kit to show up and try it out. The foam cannon is very solid.
Ha ha ha that bottle got some hard time ! That is the true definition of torture test 🤣 All jokes aside Active did a pretty good job despite the fact their orifice diameter is not that accurate. Great video !
I would say pretty good job is it something to Make you replace a current good one no, but if looking for a new one it’s a good choice. I have seen those orifice nozzles inaccurate the majority of the time.
First off, great review and a lot of work. At the start when you demoed the weighted pickup tube, I couldn't help but wonder if the Griot's Garage's Sure-Flow Metering Tips would work with the Active foam cannon allowing one to just skip the premixing all together, especially when a detailer like yourself finds one soap they like/use as their go-to? In other words, will that cannon mix/meter enough water to provide a 32:1 mixture. Again, Great review.
They won’t fit in the weighted ball, but ethe suction tube itself is narrow enough to stuff one in there. I have done that before. Problem is even incredible suds you would need to dilute some because it is so thick it won’t siphon.
Have not tried it, but I am willing to bet it won’t do anywhere near those numbers. Might not even do half that. I’ve tried several of these types and never had enough success to even show them in video.
@CarsWithKeav thank you for all your reviews I greatly appreciate you taking your time to help me save money by doing these types of videos! In one of your other videos you stated that you have a jug with Incredible Subs by DIY premixed. How is that working out for you months later? Also what is the dilution ratio that you’re using?
It’s for foam cannons so it’s 32:1 which is the normal 1 ounce in a foam cannon filled to the max line. It’s been working great, but I empty it pretty quick. Probably once every few weeks. You are good for a few months easily since it is sealed. I wouldn’t go much beyond that. The just I use holds 4 liters so that 4 to 6 washes depending on how big a foam party I’m having. 🤣

Great video as usual. I’m still putting together up my first pressure washer car cleaning set up. Right now I’m trying to decide on pressure washer gun. I know you like the MTM but I don’t think I would like the angle you have to hold it at. I was planning on just trying out the Harbor Freight “RIDGE WASHER” gun for $25 but then decided to just splurge a little more on the gun maybe. Which do you like better the MCKILLANS PRO for $72.00 or that new ACTIVE for $80.00? It seems like they all have problems with leaking swivels and failing triggers no matter the price point so I wonder if warranty is better or longer with one over the other. I think I read Mckillans was only like 30 days which is ridiculous.
I like the Mckillans Swivel Pro that’s my second choice right behind the MtM. I myself have never had any gun leak on me and I have had a lot. My first MtM went 4 years strong before I got a new one and repurposed the old one to spray fertilizer on the yard.

MJJC S V3 I would be real worried as the manifold broke on my drop test they sell bottles for $20 so if you do break that it’s still cheaper than a bear force. You can’t go wrong though in the value of the Bear Force.
@ but you still have to buy the entire unit for what $80 first? I’m just an enthusiast so after watching your videos opted for the Bear Force and haven’t looked back. I’m sure there’s better, but at 2-3x in price I’m happy with it

I need help and hopefully you or one of your subscribers can offer some suggestions. Former gas pressure washer user. Frankly, I could attach the cheapest foam canon and get the best results. Since switching to electric, not so much. Runny foam and by runny its “watery”. I’m not looking for shaving cream foam, but certainly something equal to what was shown in this video. I have a Westinghouse WPX 3000 E, 3000 psi with 1.76 GPM Between the outside faucet and the pressure washer, the water passes through a SPOTFREE PRO100 DI water system. I’ve tried the MJJC V3, TRINOVA, and a noname off Amazon. I’ve used each of their supplied orifice and stepped down to a 1.1. Although the 1.1 was better than each other”stock” orifice (1.25?), the results were nowhere near anything shown in this video. I suspected the DI system might be the culprit restricting the GPM so I went directly from the faucet to the power washer. No improvement. I measured the water output from the pressure washer and its meeting spec at about 1.8 GPM. Any ideas what the issue could be… I’m lost here? I ordered the MJJC V2 pro out of desperation because it seems to always work for others, it arrives on Monday. The low noise of electric might please the neighbors but performance out of these electric power washers isn’t anything I’ve been pleased with so far. H E L P needed!!!!
Everything you said you did to rectify the issue is what we would have suggested to try. Possibly the 1.1mm orifice you are using could be inaccurate and large than advertised. The MJJC S V3 out of the box is the best foaming out there. I’m not sure a Pro V2 will do any better unless the 1.1 with it is more accurate. DI system would improve foam due to it mixing with soap easier. Do you measure the output TDS of your DI system possibly it’s not cleaning anymore? Based on what you have said I myself would have thought water quality, but your using a DI system.
@ Thank you for sanity checking my approach in “trying” to solve this. I did validate the DI output. The raw water from the faucet input into the system was 206 ppm with output at 0 ppm. The only variable I have not paid attention to is SOAP. I never anticipated there might be a discernible difference and established a mindset of “soap-is-soap”. My neighbor has a container of Adams Mega Foam. I’ll give it a try this afternoon and then again with the MJJC V2 when it arrives tomorrow. Hopefully, I have something better to report back.
@ I didn’t even think of that and soap is a big part of it. Sometimes I don’t want to insult who is asking the question and make them feel like they don’t know what they are doing. Some are designed to foam and others are not. If you can’t get it to foam with Mega Foam then something is wrong somewhere.
@@CarsWithKeav would a ratio of 1000ml water (~34 fl oz) and 3 fl oz Mega Foam be a good ratio (11.3:1) to test? There is no ratio guidance on the Mega Foam container. Thanks again!
That’s the real question. Real science going on there. The fact that it uses less water also makes me think why it tends to use more amps than others. Orifice is the same, but something else is limiting flow.
@@CarsWithKeav20% off at Josh v’s store and it is a no brainer with the mjjc. Agreed that the pro v2 is simply awesome and it is a survivor of the Kiev drop test 😅
First, I don’t use foam. Why? Because I don’t believe bubbles clean any better than no bubbles. At least not in a perceivable way. Foaming takes time … which eats into my bottom line. Plus, no amount of foam is going to get a vehicle clean without agitation. So, to me, it’s an unnecessary step since you’re going to be hands on anyway. For me, it’s soap in a bucket, wash vehicle and then dry. Traditional or rinseless. However, foaming looks cool and is fun to dink around with at home. With that being said, I think the Active foam cannon looks the best. It’s probably one of the most stable. Is it the most foamy of the foamers? Probably not, but it’s more than adequate. I have one of the old MtM cannons and I’ve maybe used it all of 3 times over the years. I don’t see myself using a new cannon … so this entire video is sort of lost on me. But I do appreciate the information and effort. 😊😊😊
It is fun. I asked google and this is what the AI thinks. You have valid points. In most cases, liquid cleaners are generally considered to be more effective at cleaning than foam cleaners, as studies have shown that liquid soap can remove more bacteria than foam soap, especially when dealing with heavy-duty cleaning tasks; however, foam can be advantageous for reaching tight spaces and clinging to surfaces due to its ability to "creep" and penetrate crevices, making it suitable for specific cleaning situations. Key points to consider: Cleaning power: Liquid soap usually has more cleaning power per unit volume compared to foam soap. Surface contact: Foam can cling to surfaces longer, allowing for better contact time with dirt and grime, especially on vertical surfaces or hard-to-reach areas. Application: Foam is often preferred for detailed cleaning or targeted applications where precise control is needed. Cost-effectiveness: Foam soap can be more economical as it often requires less product to achieve a good lather.
I personally like the size, look, and cosmetic on the active. Do you feel the rest of the accessories are high end as well? I may just get the kit for ease. Great video as always
@@CarsWithKeav I don’t know about any of that. I try to tackle things in a logical way … at least what makes sense to me. When this foam thing started, I immediately thought “gimmick”. But then I saw it all around town and on UA-cam being a thing. I ended up saying “F^$# it” and bought a cannon. Used it a few times and figured out it only added time to a detail. To me, that’s going backwards not forwards … so I didn’t use it after that. As it turns out, foaming isn’t a gimmick but it holds no place for me professionally or otherwise. I was over it pretty quick. 😊😊😊 EDIT: As an aside, the wife uses the foam cannon on her car … like, a lot. I think she likes smelling the soap. To each their own.
So the active needs less water with the same amount of soap so in reality it’s less efficient thus inferior to MJJC. I’m losing a 100ml of water so technically the cannon won’t go as far. And it’s more expensive albeit by a few dollars. Thanks for the test I’m not seeing anything innovative from active here.
When you reduce the water the foam cannon are the same effectiveness and efficiency. The bottle empties at the exact same rate now so they have the exact same amount of product and time to empty. The Active send more water through the manifold so you are just reducing that amount to make it equal. You are right though nothing innovative and I don’t think we will ever really see anything innovative anytime soon except maybe the Mosmatic one.
Active was the best value for its performance. Now every product they have is priced at the top. I hate it when products change from a great value to overpriced.
@@beaumaddox6294 Their pressure washers have always been good value for the performance. Just all the other stuff is just priced higher and nothing really innovative. A 5/16 steel braided hose is a good idea just need to be less $$$. At least with the pressure washers you have a choice of pricing tiers except they look to have discontinued the Ve52
So the lesson here is dont drop the soap kids

Let’s gooo🔥🔥🔥
Yes!!!
I have a Westinghouse WPX 3000 E, 3000 psi with 1.76 GPM
Between the outside faucet and the pressure washer, the water passes through a SPOTFREE PRO100 DI water system.
@ 2 or 3 oz of mega foam and fill the rest of the way to the 1k ml mark with water.
I wonder what makes the Mjjc suck the liquid out faster
That’s the real question. Real science going on there. The fact that it uses less water also makes me think why it tends to use more amps than others. Orifice is the same, but something else is limiting flow.
@@CarsWithKeavabsolutely. Just rewatched the final bit of your video and it reminded me of PIR tests that most do in Europe.
@ That is basically what I was doing more or less. Talking to many others there are so many variables your have to do the test yourself.
MJJC Pro v3 just dropped today. Time for a new video
Already on order. A few of them in case you know I drop one.
@@CarsWithKeav I have one on order because of that snowball order session you pushed on me with that new pressure washer 😆
@ Could have used CARSWITHKEAV to save 10% 🤣
@@CarsWithKeav womp womp, missed that.
No problem with my OG MJJC.
There shouldn’t be they work great.
For me MJJC v2
Yeah it’s great very durable and more balanced.
@@CarsWithKeav20% off at Josh v’s store and it is a no brainer with the mjjc. Agreed that the pro v2 is simply awesome and it is a survivor of the Kiev drop test 😅
@ Josh does have a nice sale going on for sure.
Key points to consider:
Cleaning power:
Liquid soap usually has more cleaning power per unit volume compared to foam soap.
Surface contact:
Foam can cling to surfaces longer, allowing for better contact time with dirt and grime, especially on vertical surfaces or hard-to-reach areas.
Application:
Foam is often preferred for detailed cleaning or targeted applications where precise control is needed.
Cost-effectiveness:
Foam soap can be more economical as it often requires less product to achieve a good lather.
😊😊😊
EDIT: As an aside, the wife uses the foam cannon on her car … like, a lot. I think she likes smelling the soap. To each their own.
@ It’s all about what is best for you my friend! Have a happy holidays.
@ It’s all pretty good quality. The hose is great and the gun is good.
Did I hear someone say there’s no way Keav is breaking this foam cannon lol
I am inevitable like Thanos on foam cannons. Snap of the finger!
@@CarsWithKeav hahahaha damn right
I heard it 😂
So the active needs less water with the same amount of soap so in reality it’s less efficient thus inferior to MJJC.
Active is overpriced.
Everything is overpriced. 🤣
Let me know which soap @finedetailing sends you lol 😂
🤣 A gallon of the most expensive stuff possible. 🤣
@ 🤣
