I love Jazzmaster design, but always like telecaster sound, so this stuff would be a good choice for my next guitar

I feel the same way but for a slightly different reason - I always loved the Tele sound, but I'm sorry, it's as ugly as a dog's pecker. Never liked the look of the Tele at all. This guitar has all the Tele sound you could want and it's sharp as heck.
Looks way more red than the stock photos I've seen so far. Looks very nice indeed

I got a Telemaster or Jazzmaster, awesome guitar, I was concerned that the 42mm nut width would be difficult for my big fingers but the slim neck helps me to curve my fingers better making it so easy to play. Very happy how it sounds. Great review, demoing clean and dirty tones is the way. Loved the jams and tones. Cheers

I got my tele yesterday. It is amazing.
It looks and sounds fantastic! Rob a couple of questions, when you say they sent me this guitar does that mean it's sent to you for purely for the video review and then you send it back or do you get to keep the guitar as a advertising perk?
2nd question if it's ok, the channel theme tune you play did you write it as I can't get it out of my head, it's really good have you recorded any place either solo or with a band etc? Cheers
It is a great guitar, no it will be getting sent back purely just for me to review for you good people.
Yes I wrote it myself, I made the jam specifically for my channel theme tune, I was getting bored with my old theme tune :)

I bought this today. Natural finish.
I was getting a Vintage Vibe Jazzmaster and played it for an hour or so in the carpark; didn't like the feel of it. also the bridge and tremolo was a bother with annoying buzzing.
So I took it back for a swap.
Spend an hour or so in the shop playing with the Para Tele; and contemporary Jazzmaster HH.
The neck on the Tele felt so much better.
Just been shredding it at home for about 2 hours.
Made the right choice.
Note that these Squiers RRP for the best part of a grand here in Australia.
I ended up paying about $700 from Derringers here in Adelaide.

Can't decide between these and a JMJM. Which do you think has an overall better quality build?
Both on a par in terms of build quality J Mascis Jazzmaster would be my personal preference
Any more details on the pickups? Are they the same as on the 50s classic vibe tele?

Came home with one of these from Guitar Center yesterday. Didn’t even really fully know what the name of it was so I looked it up on UA-cam. Long story short I’ve been wanting a telecaster for a long time, wanted to go higher and then the square affinity, wasn’t quite sure about buying a player. Saw one of these on the rack and vibed with it for a little while. Since it’s guitar center I thought what the hell, bring it home, worst case scenario I got a month to take it back. It’s really starting to grow on me. Love the maple neck. With the way plays. Haven’t really fully decided if I’m a telecaster guy yet or not, but this is a nice compromise!
Dude it's a fine guitar and what an impulse buy.

Soon as I dive deeper into the guitar today, I discovered it is hugely responsive to how hard you attacked the strings. Incredible! I’m Really appreciate itthis 🎸
Just to give an example, I am playing on one sitting on my fender mustang 1 Amp.... I found I am able to play smashing pumpkins 1979, Beach boys help me Rhonda, AC/DC Ride On.... all pretty much on the same ramp setting, or slight tweak to the pick up tone and get volume setting. To bring this long winded post to an end, it greatly relies on how hard you hit the strings.....Love it!
Yes! them alnico pickups really do respond well, very articulate against your playing.
It didn't has a high end fender quality to the pups 👌🎸

The other thing I find, definitely gonna make anyone a better player, what I mean by that, telecaster sound does not have much forgiveness..,Don’t get me wrong it’s a great sound, but you need to be on point when you are playing that sound. Absolutely make me a better player!

I got one of these too and love it. In my opinion it felt, played, and sounded better than any of the more expensive players series teles in the shop that day.
That middle position sounded great for surf!

These are so far my fav Squire pickups. Well now, I guess my Talman T-style might get competition. Wish the neck was satin ... but that can be fixed.

I liked the playing part, often people can't get a good tone out of a Tele somehow.

Possibly not can be a tight fit every bag is different

So basically, it's a telecaster on a cool Jazzmaster body. Just if you don't like the Tele without the cuts but like the strats that fit like a glove.
A Jazzmaster body is far more comfortable over a strat

The natural looks so much better than the pictures. Looks like the finish they did in the 70s called “mocha”. Just wish offset Tele pickguards were easier to find, a tortoise guard would look lovely on the surf green one.
Yeah agree on all counts, mocha was a beautiful colour I had a 70s fender Tele years ago in that colour, I sold it because of the weight 😂😂 but they were cheap then
@@valueofnothing2487 I don’t know if it will, but Warmoth does have a return policy if it doesn’t fit. You can always look elsewhere or find someone to cut you one from your old one as a template if all else fails.

I was going to mention ,I have this cd of Louisiana rockabilly / Cajun Bop/ Swamp pop., Whatever (!), there's a band from around '59 called Jivin' Gene & The Jokers ,the photo of the band shows a guy with a Strat with weird looking pickups or damage / mods(?) . I found it again on Google images but it's still hard to tell what's going on or just the lighting / graininess of the photo ?
