I saw 901 Jan 6th 2024 this year at Shildon Musuem! I went there because Flying Scotsman was visiting!
But it looked like it may not run anymore.
But it may get restored.
It is & was just sitting in a siding doing nothing. It had a little bit of rust on.
But it was still Intact when I saw it.

The engine belongs to the National Railway Museum, and was loaned to the NYMR.

this was filmed ages ago, it was in Head of Steam museum in Darlington and recently moved to Shildon

I remember seeing this loco running on the NYMR in 1976.
It s a strange thing seeing restored locomotives such as this and a good part of the GWS collection running as a lad but laid up, cold and probably not to run again in late middle age.
