Hey, Jeffrey, I'm loving the silver fox look! But NOW you post this! I had a whole chicken in the fridge that I made in the Instant Pot on Friday, using your recipe, so I'd have some meat that could be eaten cold if the power went out during the storm. After the storm, with the power on, I made your chicken and dumplings recipe using the liquid from cooking the whole chicken plus 6 cups of chicken broth. (Yes, it works.) Now I love your chicken and dumplings, but I would happily made this next time! (I'd make my own bechamel; I don't like the canned soups.)
This is similar to my chicken casserole. The difference is, I use Ramon noodles and canned fried onions for the topping. For the Ramon, mix the uncooked noodles into all the liquids (I also add sour cream and Ramon flavor packs) before adding the chicken and veggies to be sure they are well coated. Ramon is already cooked, so only need to be hydrated. Cooking Ramon this way, instead of in water, adds a lot more flavor to the noodles.
Looks beautiful and scrumptious. Tho my southern brain. Is save the noodles. Make biscuits and keep it a soup? Stew? .... gravy? Consistently and ladle it over the biscuits I assume it would a in side out chicken pot pie. At that point. You guys gave the inspiration for my brain concoction. So props my guy. 😅

Happy New Year. I've got a lot of leftover turkey in my freezer. Good way of using some of it up.
Premix the ingredients W/OUT the chicken before adding the chicken & moving forward. Just an idea that helps.

I use Watkins chicken base powder kind love that can measure as much U need.
