It's not about whether rounding is bad it's whether your spinal position changes while you lift. If you start by rounding your upper back and it doesn't change you're fine.

It depends on each lifter. It's valid and safe as long as the back is rounded during the whole movement

Im no expert but i think your supposed to set your lats and have a flat back. I think it works for him because hes wearing a belt though
U want spine stability and to have ur back be at a flat angle. I would not recommend to round ur back as it is very easy to herniate a disc
