How do you feel about Red in March. I've been buying up red reaction baits. Just waiting to throw them. It's cold in Seattle. I started bass fishing over the summer and I am hooked. If possible can you do a video on best colors for pre spawn. Thanks again. Great Videos.
Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
I’m 62 and just started back for fishing, just bought a new boat and tackle, and I am thankful for you sharing your experience and life of fishing. God bless and keep those tips coming.
I'm here in Michigan and just jones-in for the ice to melt. I've been cleaning out the boxes and buying more stuff and have no place to put it. lol. That's what happens when I watch all you guys on UA-cam. I enjoy watching and getting good tips. I have to watch them over and over again, because I just turned 64 last Tuesday and my memory isn't what it used to be...lol. Thanks Edwin, keep it real! Michael
My wife and I are getting ready to go to the lake today and I hope she lands a big one! Nothing makes me happier than seeing that smile of accomplishment on her face!! Tight lines everyone!
My last son just graduated in 2021 and is off to the United States Air Force Academy. Last summer just got back into bass fishing (after about 25 years)! Can't wait for Michigan lakes to thaw and get back on the water in my kayak. Love your videos and your approach to teaching! Thanks!
Like how you mentioned bending the keepers in on the jig. Haven't heard that one before and it makes a lot of sense! Lot of helpful tips in this one. Thanks!
It's cool to get monthly updates, I'm just starting out so it's good to learn what the seasons mean. Also good when the answer is what I like to throw, t-rigged worm.
You can still catch large mouth. Just need to be moving extremely slow. I drag a jig on the bottom. I exaggerate you not, I probably pull it about an 2 inches every 30 seconds or so. If i don’t get anything within an hour I’ll slow it down.
@@johnbowe4564 oh absolutely, I’d go as light of a fluorocarbon leader as you can. Like 4 pound if you have that good of visibility. They are moving much slower so they have a lot more time to examine the bait. They get very line shy in that clear of water in the winter.
Just found your channel Great information My youngest and I really started fishing about 2 years ago. I dog how simple you talk about each lure and how to use them. Thank you for your channel and spreading the fishing love Have a blessed day
I'm a northwest trout, salmon and steelhead fisherman new to bass fishing. Moved to Alabama a couple years ago and just joined a local club to learn more and get experience on bass fishing. Really like and appreciate all the helpful videos and tips you pros put out! I add it all to my fishing journal.
Love hearing your fishing tips, instead of commercials. Real good advance from one of the best. Good to see you’re still just a good dude. I’ve only started, but your videos show areas to use the gear and tackle, good and bad. Just honest..... Thanks and stay safe brother
Enjoyed the videos, here at Pickwick those are must haves this time of year. I had the pleasure of meeting you and discussing all things fishing a few years ago at the Memphis, TN BPS location. You were a lot of fun. Thanks for your insight.
This is great advice. I have tried all three of these. The fish are biting so hard down here in san angelo tx. We have everyone and there mother from everywhere out here fishing but off this advice im still catching them left and right. I always go to this site before heading out
Thanks for sharing your tips. I have some of those lures but didn't know about keeping the baits straight with the hook or the correct way to rig them. I usually end up throwing a crankbaits so I can cover more area ,73 and can't slow down.
52 years old. My 16 son has taken to bass fishing. Got set up with an older boat to get him involved on the high school team. I'm quickly realizing this isn't the fishing I grew up knowing. Thanks for putting great advice out there. Gonna get him geared up for success.
Great info! Can u give us some tips on shore fishing these Oklahoma ponds and small lakes? Took a break from fishing for bout 10 yrs (divorce and kids in college) and a ton has changed in baits and techniques.
Thanks for the info. Texas rig was on fire for me a few days ago. I have been working the 1st 2. Going out again tomorrow. Thanks for the great explanation and step by step on setting these up. I am learning that presentation is key.
Wow, what a great explanation and tutorial on how to use and when to use these baits… thanks for always thinking of your subscribers. It’s still to cold here in WA. But as soon as the temps let us out, I’ll be gone fishing.. once again thanks for your great vids..
Thanks for the tips, just got back into bass fishing and I'm hitting all the local lakes and ponds in my area . I will be purchasing these items especially the jigs. It is Awesome showing how to rig a worms correctly.
Thanks for making me feel better about the baits I am running.. pretty much same stuff.. some days not as good as others. Just got into kayak fishing and LOVE IT.. can't wait to hit the bigger rivers soon! Here in big city charlotte lots of large ponds to drop in and hit beds no one else can touch and watch them look pissed taking them strikes as they sit on the bank.
Edwin......great info but could not help it......the garage ROCKS!!! Right lines. Looking forward to ordering some pecans when they are back online!!!! Stay healthy sir.
As always thank you for the heads up I appreciate what you do and you make it look so simple it feels simple when you’re out there catching fish but when the conditions get tough you kind of start second-guessing things always going back to that lure and or your favorite lure Which for me is a chatter.
SO RIGHT on the Stick Baits in Spring! Bladed Jigs are one of my favorite moving baits, especially when paired with that paddle tail swimbait. Great content!
Tough Feb fishing here in Texas. I did have some luck with a red crankbait. Most were caught with a roadrunner with a fluke trailer. Looking forward to the water warming up here in March. I’ll definitely try your suggestions for March.
I have recently jumped on the vibrating jig train...but this year not only the vibrating jig but going with the red that everyone is saying is a must have. I like the trimming of the jig. Thank for the 3 reviews
Kool, Eddie....just kidding Edwin...would like to hear more about swim jigs, I'm in SW Virginia, our March water temps are low to mid 40's, late March normally 50ish. Really need help on that swim jig.... We do have good Smallmouth in March... Catchable... God Bless ya! Jimmy Rorrer
Thanks for the tips...I will give them a try. I have a hard time trying different tactics when my tried and true baits have worked in the past. I have my go to baits, but I will definitely give these a shot. I may find a new go-to bait. Thanks for sharing!
2021 has been great for us. We have landed an 8 and 4 more between 6-7 and I have not kept up with the 3's and 4 pounders. We have been throwing big baits hoping to get the chunks. Thanks for the video.
I've really been wanting to try The Deal for a chatterbait trailer but they've been sold out the past couple times I've ordered from Tackle Warehouse. It looks like such an awesome bait. Thanks for the tips and bait suggestions for March. I finally got in a couple days of fishing last week for the first time in a while so I'm eager for the weather to finally start cooperating so I can get out more regularly this month. So many new baits and techniques I've picked up over the winter that I want to put into action!
Great video! One of the best explanations of rigs, how to and when to use them. Well done. Just starting fishing in Cherokee Lake in TN. Would appreciate some starter baits if there are any left. Thx. Looking forward to other videos. Be well….
Wow! Three amazing baits. Up just north of you, I may still be throwing a jerk bait, wide wobbling crank bait, and a small finesse jig. But I don’t fish at your level, and love the options
Love the videos! We fish Eufaula this coming up weekend. I hope they are up in the grass and pads. Nothing better than an early morning buzz bait bite! Good luck this season!
Thanks, good information from a down to earth pro. Water temps here in NC upper 40's to low 50's. I have not fished chatter baits any but willing to give them a try this year.
I'm going to have to try these belly weighted hooks. The Gamakatsu EWG versions don't have that screw, and so I've got to pull the entire shank through the head of the bait, which is challenging on skinnier plastics.
Love your detailed explanations of your choises of best baits for the month, but i will have to wait to try them in my region, being in Quebec, Canada. Been following you for a while and have had the chance to put in practice your methods of what , when and how. And have had alot of succes and fun whit my son. Thank you !
Thanks for the tips. I hope to break my PB this spring here in Oklahoma. I just started bass fishing last year after always being catfish, white bass, and crappie fisherman.
We are so excited that March is here. Thank you for the tips. My 10 year old daughter is excited to start fishing this year and I have to rig her three rods for March! All the best

Love the video. You can send me sea salt pecans with my baits. I would love to have and try out
Thank YOU!!
EE would these work, in a somewhat dingee pond? If yes, then I am definitely interested. Thanks, and good luck this year.
Can’t wait to give them a try, Waiting on the ice to melt up here!

Thanks for the tips. I use the grass pigs a few different ways. Also use the smaller ones as trailers.
Thanks for the advice. Water is warming up and the spring bite should be great.
