There is a trick that u can literally stop invaders, just go to the island u need and vote on war map this way u won’t dive because u r on the island and people can not invade u while u r “matchmaking” xD

Nah.. to earn alligence rep, you must have someone invading you to be able to get the money(levels) for lowering. Last time I did, we raised up reaper and stocked bunch of loots, but didn not get any rep for lowering since nobody invaded us
You can always check how many rep you'll get by looking at the hourglass, leveling the treasure grade up gives you 0 gold until someone invading you and let say you were able to sink them, the rep increases depending on what treasure grade you are at
Thanks for the advice! Personally I play to forget my anxiety and relax. There's just something so soothing in an ASMR way about the game; the environments, the sounds of the ocean, the music all just relaxes me to such a degree that I get thrown for a loop when I see another ship close in on me. I end up getting an attack and my heart pounds so hard my body shakes.
"Then why do you play?" you may ask. Well you don't stop finding time to take relaxing bubble bathes just because there's a chance a block party will barge in on you.

I like the alternative approach you suggest. It's nice that you cover different aspects for a variety of players. SoT is more of a chill game for me. I can win some fights here and there but diving in my experience is typically long fights that I just get tired of. I personally prefer the open world interactions of not knowing if someone will be chill or not. negotiating terms or if needed removing the threat.

For the first and second method, id suggest collecting the emissary quest from the mysterious stranger for athena's emissaries before lowering the emissary flag. those quests usually get you back up to lvl5 emissary if you re-raise before doing them

does the grade of the stash only go up when I get loot *after* voting on the hourglass, similar to how the emissary system works? or could I have a ton of loot and just vote and immediately get the grade 5, wait 15 minutes while at an outpost with the war map active so they can't invade me, and then get money by just voting to leave the faction?

Hello, I understand that when you lower your hourglass you get gold but why lower your level 5 emissary? Does it give you rep when you level up a new one?
Problem with doing the world event first is you HAVE to wait 15 minutes before you can lower. And there's a very good chance you get invaded during those 15 minutes.
In the comments there is a little hack to getting around this that I wasnt even aware of otherwise I would of put it in the video. Ill pin the comment :)

@@drxk5632 Yeah this is something I discovered well making this video. If you did a World Event and wait until after the event to lower your hourglass you will minimize the chance of having a PVP encounter. Then you can go straight to in outpost, and as long as it has been at least 15 mins, you can lower that hourglass :)

even better than going to an island if you have a buddy and yall wanna do hg but without pvp 1 of yall need to vote on the warmap then close the warmap that way its like your abt to dive but your teammate stll need to vote on the warmap accidently found this out when i accidently voteed on warmap while defending for faction stash and fights then 3 hrs into thee session we realised but we didnt wanna cancel the veil bc we where on final prt

Hello sir, his curse is the Ashen curse u need to get all commendations on the tall tale “Heart of Fire”, u can start it at morrows peak.

The second method's process is unclear. To gain more allegiance, are you meant to go lower your hourglass and emissary after 4 wins, or do you keep on stacking your winstreak past 4?

I have one question about the PVE side , if i sell to the sov does it still count towards the pvp faction or not ?
Yeah great question. So you want to lower the hourglass first once at an outpost. This will give your alligence for your chosen pvp faction, then you can sell the loot. Hope that helps :)

No lower hg then sell otherwise the hg is worthless
If you sell the treasure, the hourglass will go back to 0. So first turn it off before selling anything.
If i do the 2 win cash out method, how long would it take me to get from lvl 30 to 100? Cuz i have some pvp skills, but i mostly get matched with people that seem to play the game for way longer than me, and dont really think i can get to 4 win streak
Honestly if you are confident at 2 wins, thats more then enough to cash out there. I havent actually measured how long it would actually take you but I will say this, here is no harm in cashing out every two fights to be safe instead of 4
@@RealCardmaster thanks, btw should i fight with a friend? Solo slooping feels painful, and i wonder if duo makes the game last less. On top of that, does the game have some sort of skill matchmaking? Because im keep running against god like players
@@itsbostan1725 So personally I prefer to play with a friend because as a solo it can be fustrating having to do everything. But if you want to get better solo is great for that, and yes there is suppose to be skill based matchmaking but at times it doesnt feel like its working. Im sure they will improve this function.... i hope
I discovered that if you beach your boat at reapers hideout at a special spot by the dock you cant sink bc the holes are not in the water allowing infinite boards.

I think I know the spot you’re talking about and similar to a row boat on land that’s been damaged, my crew shot a ship to bits while it was fully on land and after around 5 minutes of me preventing repairs it just popped out of existence, leaving their supplies next to the shore.
I know they didn’t quit since one of them was using the cannons on reapers to shoot our ship still
@@HolloWDFluffdrgn Yes. I think rare has a sort of physics engine that after a while breaks if your too far up on land but it should work of you wedge it correctly.
Me and my mates cant even get passed streak 2 or even get a streak.😅 We get pirates that are waaay more skillful than us, like getting godshots with snipers and seemingly not dying to 3 blunderbusses. They need to add some sort of mmr to that mode.
Dude I hear this so often and it really is sad. It can be so discouraging to players when they go up against people that have been playing so much longer. There is suppose to be a MMR in the game but I know even I will be matched against newer players. I really do think it will get better, well I hope it does
@@RealCardmaster Agreed, My mate yesterday invaded a guy who hasnt even played the game and accidently voted the hourglass. Had a bunch of loot, my friend was nice and invited him to his boat to get his loot back. That mode i swear is worse than arena😅

What happens to the loot on your boat after you lower hourglass?
When you dive underwater, you lose the loot and it stays floating in the server you just left
@@RealCardmaster I realised as well that cannonball crates and the other crates count as faction stash and you don't lose them when you dive
I'm a bit late but couldn't you theoretically vote on shores of gold and just stay in the shroud so when people invade you they just die to the water?
Im pretty sure this has been patched. But it definitely was a thing people did at the beginning of the season

@@MrCoggis World events are honestly the best. I have tried, Fort of Fortunes which get you to 4 and half. Ashen Wind events get you almost to level 3 (Need about 2 of these). you can also buy commodities from the merchant when you first log in at the outpost which get you instantly to level 1 without any work. But you could also do it when you go back to outpost to lower

Yeah... I'm a TSD. 2k hours. Tip at 0:36 Seems pretty darn hard.
Tried tip 3, due to inability to lower immediately upon voting and having a VIP call from mother nature, i return to start a fight with mast down and a hefty amount of dmg.... With that speed, and my 'rng' for opponents it seems unviable to me to try and gather PvE style.
But idea 4:00 sounds promising.
Yeah the PVE tip is really good if you are trying to avoid pvp. Obviously slower to level up but for the most part you still get to level up a reasonable amount and not have to fight

No man! As far as I know the hourglass is staying for a very long time. Its the NEW PvP mode, it wont be going anywhere for a long time. no need to worry!

I feel like grade 5 equal to 1 win in pvp and it will get harder when you have higher level allegiance so good luck
Yeah PVE isnt the fastest way of leveling up but it is a way haha I definetely wouldnt have the patience for it. But i guess some people arent really in a rush!
Didn't watch yet, but I'm guessing it will say something like win fights back to back in pvp to level up fast.
Just always win and never lose, do that 100+ times and there you go! It's that easy!

Only sweats are playing the pvp anymore.
And if it is a crappy player they will never get the 1 let alone 2 wins to level up faster.
And if rare didn't change things in the last update people would be still geting 0 points towards the pvp curses, cause there geting saled out of bounds by the better players and geting absolutely nothing!!!!!
At least now you can loose your way to the cures.
It will just take months if not years to do that way.
Probly 5000+ losses to reach level 50 or some shit

I was right since day 1 of season 8.
It was to grindy and the best strat (sailing your opponent out of bounds) was literally making it so only 1 boat made any progress towards the curses.
Bu ya it was fine and I just need to get good.... STFU!
Hey man! Well first off the beginning of the video was to show you how to maximize your fights alligence. I really didnt expect many people to come in and shit on me for trying to help players capitalize on their wins. I also will say that the grind is long and its hard even if you are winning fights i totally understand. Really sorry you felt the video wasted your time, ill try do better next time

I was mostly yelling at the player bace and all the other youtubers who have similar videos / comments, making it seem like it's so easy to get 100 levels in pvp.
Just every video about season 8 pvp tips just say the same thing win fights.
But thats the catch 22 most people are not good at the pvp.
And can't even get a win in the first place.
Hence why they come and look for tips on how to level up.

This is true. It will take you longer but you do level up by getting loot

Its tough out their! The Skill based matchmaking is still not very good at always putting you in with players of your skill level. You could use some of the PVE methods for leveling up if you really don't want to fight. But I think at the very least you are getting a lot better at PVP ! Even if you are sinking alot of the time. @@RealCardmaster There is NO skill based matchmaking. Do you really think they have a method to judge your crew's skill? How would they even do that without monitoring every move/action of you?
If anything they MAY use your win/loss ratio but I even doubt that, since I ran into the same opponent (who just defeated me) very often.
@@TheBod76 They have confirmed there is a skill based matchmaking and that they average a crews win/ loss ratio to match them against a equally skilled crew. Only problem is, if there isnt a good match after a certain time looking for a team, they put in the next best team which could be a crew thats much worse! What I will say is there recent update, of allowing same faction battles has helped a bit with this but still not great.
I am aware of what they said, that doesn't make it true though. The amount of data they would have to collect would be massive!
@@TheBod76 Yeah I dont really know much about the behind the scenes but what I will say is many games track this kind of data. Fortnite, Apex, Valorant etc... So I do believe Rare are being truthful

there is a minimum faction time of 15min

Anyone know if there's a bug with the leveling up for the servants of the flame??
I've won two fights, (the counter in the corner says my streak has increased to 2) but even though that's the case, in terms of leveling up, it hasn't changed since I last played the other day. I turned on today just over a little into lvl 18... won 2 games pvp as mentioned above and its still just over lvl 18... anyone know anything?? I don't wanna grind something if I ain't leveling up from it lol.
It's also still tracking the faction ships that I've sunk.
So you may have already worked this one out Rouge but that bug just started happening to me. Sometimes in game the level isnt moving up at all but once i leave that lobby and go back in. It appears to fix itself, is that the same for you?
@@RealCardmaster Yeah it is. At least rejoining a lobby fixes it, so I'm fine with it for now, just needs a bit of fine tuning
