Funny story. When me and my friend became pirate legends and came down to athenas fortune we saw someone getting the curse so we stood in the crowd cheering and clapping then when the song was done his friend who had already got the curse killed us.

67 serve and 20 guard. Ive pretty much given up. Especially after getting lazybearded 3 times now waiting in queue. I find the mode way more frustrating than fun
you can try defending if you don't enjoy queueing. I've had a lot of fun defending recently, as you just get to play the game as normal until someone invades you.
I'm 97, 100% in solo, cheaters, good players, getting onetap by cannonball makes the thing awful but now im better at navigation and cannons, i was only strong in pvp but it learned me a lot. Playing in solo can be awful but you'll love to win bcs its only skills. (Sorry for my bad english im french)
I really wish that I could get it but at the same time I feel as though I'll never be worthy of it. My pvpskillz are extremely hampered by my lack of computer gaming skills

Literally everybody has this now🤣 I started playing again about three weeks ago and I'm level 80ish with like 90 sinks (got 20ish few levels on double xp day and then community weekend), think I've played like 110-120 total as most days I win 6-7 and lose 2-3. This isn't that much of a grind though it's way faster than pirate legend or reapers 75 imo
@tsunzucchinitzatzikisan2246 i mean their both good, but the Athena ritual just makes me feel good inside whereas the Reaper ritual is more of like an eh to me

Mate how the hell do you find good players in open crew? All the players I come across are fresh from completing the maiden voyage and just keep interfering with things
I'd recommend joining the official SoT Discord server to meet some people that are a little more invested in the game. Open crew is such an RNG fest as to whether you'll find a player worth sailing with. However if you insist on open crew, stick to the sloop.

Because when I do open crew I’m always the only one doing everything while the newbies mess everything up. It wouldn’t really make sense with how the ceremony and ritual work. I get your pint but at the same time when you finally do hot 100 it makes the reward so much better because you got practically nothing for all your hard work until finally getting you get an ultimate reward
The easiest way to win and it’s actually guaranteed but wasting Garfield’s regurgitated lasaugna then wait for it to be morning time then cannon over/ fly to the other ship like Terrence and protect the holes you caused when you hit their ship as Terrence by morning all over the other crew
The sail out of bounds awards experience now, if you’ve actually fought each other at least once, I still don’t do it because I’m bad (take with a grain of salt just going off of what has happened to me)
This game mode and the level required to achieve the hidden area is so brutal.. especially if youre someone who hasnt played in 2 years trying to get back i to the game
I’ve been playing this game since the anniversary update and I can confirm I have not gotten better at any aspect of the game which makes me very happy. And I can also say that about 40% of my hours were spent in black screens
i don't really like the fact that we got so many double XP days in such short of time (community day, the 3 days of boost and soon the other community day ) for someone who grind both curses without even playing on these day, it's alright to make the grind much more enjoyable for "the average player" sometimes but not that frequently, it's supposed to be hard to get,no in 3 days of no sleep!

I'm a little late but I got the blessing a while ago and honestly think it's not the best, makes you very easy to snipe, but oh well the ceremony makes it worth it, on my skelly curse grind, level 65 rn.
This actually makes me want to play the PvP, but only for Athena's . The only problem is my anxiety gives my whole body pins and needles. its not a pleasant feeling
since I have been sunk by people with the athena emmisary flag raised who said theyd be friendly before, I am probably just going to shoot athena ships the moment they start saying their friendly. I am not going to win, as I suck bad in pvp (and probably will forever, as I really don't care for pvp) but since its te same outcome, I can at least try and make it a bit harder XD
Nobody cares. These stats don't matter... .01% may unlock an achievement...and that can still be a huge portion of the active players. It doesn't consider people who played the game once and never returned, or people like me who never will return after how bad season 8 launched. Been a month, and I don't miss anything about the game. Forgot how other games actually load the same day you select the game, and how other titles are competed prior to release instead of launching a game as a full release, followed by constant updates, and not being grown enough to admit its still technically in beta mode based on that.
Only true legends have the original pirate legend ship, the biggest flex ever, curses useless now too easy to get, or original bone crusher or original ashes, waling barnacle, Im so glad they don't bring these back

Just lose 1600-2000 battles, and it's yours. Nothing difficult...just grinding at its worst. Just have to not have a life or job, and you too can waste 400 hours grinding for a worthless cosmetic.
To be fair that one guy you and the other ship that ganged up on that reaper he had a right to be mad after being ganged up on. But yeah I grats on destroying that one alliance
Sea of Thieves needs better f@#%ing motivation and rewards for this kinda grind besides a cosmetic to let you go green and transparent. Imagine spending your life to buy clothes in a f@#%ing video game

Always run an emissary for hourglass! Boosts rep/profits if you win and doesn't cost a thing to run

I got my ghost curse a month ago. It still puts a smile on my first. Totally worth the stressful grind solo

Max Hunters Call is 50 times harder then getting either curse
Hunter's Call isn't hard it's long and boring get it right

150-200 sinks for average players like us I think, Im level 52 right now and 70 sinks, but it gets slower and slower when you level up
I have won 70 and lost around 70 too, 1-2 streaks only (mostly 1)
