- Grinding Season 8 is tough! Supplies cost 40k in Gold. And if you lose before cashing out, you're going to spend another 40k just to join the fight again. So here's a strategy I've been using to keep my gold up while I continue grinding Season 8!

the only bad thing about this game is the time you have to waste in it to play
Can't launch the game to play 30 min or 1h you can't do shit if you do not play 3 hours

@@emangonesherk5514 no it'll still be there forever, I guess I shouldn't have said "this season". I just kinda meant in general its hard to find time to play this game
Can confirm, it's one of the most consistent ways to farm allegiance. That is if you want to spend time buying supplies and/or you are not playing solo. When playing solo it's faster to just ram people and instantly dive after the fight. You won't win more then half of your battles, but it's way faster then doing battles normally. You either get sunk pretty fast or you sink another player pretty fast, either way battles just last 5 minutes tops and you are constantly fighting so you gain lots of allegiance. Really good practice in hand to hand combat too, but almost 0 money gained/spent.
I'm absolutely trying this strategy out next time I'm soloing. Sounds insanely fun 🥳
This is the best way however you can easily fall into the "ok I won 2 can I win 3" 3 turns into 5 and so on and then you start trying and find yourself in a 40 minute match.
How does ram damage work? Does the boat being rammed take more damage? I am awful at naval, so I am interested in Trying some ram Strat! 😅
What I do is buy a storage crate loot outpost and steal supplies from opponents then when I reach streak 3 I lower hourglass rinse repeat money gained

Nice video! The two-streak method is what we use too, but every once in a while, when we're feeling ambitious we'll see how high we can go! That can go a few different ways..

Just started the game yesterday, been playing the faction war just to learn pvp , I get absolutely destroyed everytime , but I have to learn somehow , still trying to get my first win after 10 matches

As someone who already wasted their life getting reaper allegiance 100 I found doing the two dip strategy to be ineffective higher up. The better strategy in my mind is mainly just makings sure you sell your flags and dipping at least at 3 or 4. The 2 strategy should be mainly used by inexperienced or weaker pvpers trying to get better and grind it out.
However if you're confident go for 3 or 4 and make sure to sell Grade 4 and 5 Flags instantly. Cause that two sell later after level-75 wont do much

My mate and I go for 3 in a row, then we go and do any world events on the way as a reaper 5 and sell it at reaper hideout alongside any flags we acquired. Handy way to do things as a reaper.
that sounds so much fun, great way to integrate it into a session. I've been throwing myself at this mode and only this mode since release. I've forgotten what normal SOT is like 😧

How does everyone get matches? I win or lose 1 and then the next takes forever i cba to waste my tjme anymore
ima try this strat, cuz I go against the best SOT players its hard to hit high streak, I even went against Skeleton curse, and ghost curse players.
it's best to be consistent instead of going for crazy win streaks
The thing is that with a good crew you can sink most people in hourglass pretty easily, and get 5+ win streaks, which make you a champion and give you a bigger XP bonus.
Is it worth going for that or just cashing out for the small easy bonuses?
My last battle lasted more than two hours, the real problem is the supplies.
I've been playing sea of thieves and pvp for years and the amount of sweatlords I'm finding is absurd.

Honestly just wish supplies werent so grindy, the most boring thing is running around for an hour looting barrels just to have enough to survive some pvp. I get it makes things more interesting but i just want combat and adventure not inventory management simulator
I keep getting the crazy cracked players on the 2nd fight of my streak...
Although I did actually beat that duo of legendary sea dogs the other day
This strat also helps with waiting times, because the higher your streak, the longer waiting times end up being. And on OCE servers, that is a life saver

We sunk them by ramming them and double boarding, after using up most of our supplies in half an hour of naval (although my crewmate was immediately one blundered, so it was up to me to spawncamp, which I somehow managed to pull off until they sunk)

I started playing during the pirates life season, and i only recently started playing again. Saw the skeleton curse, but it sucks that it's locked behind pvp.
I understand the sentiment, but there have been so many things locked behind PvE that I personally think it's a good thing to have some items looked behind PvP. These curses are long term goals so you can just do a few fights when you feel like! :)
I think tips on how to rep faster doesn't really matter if your facing a crew with the same exact determination as you. I wouldn't even work so hard for the Skeleton Curse since I learned you can't wear any gear or hair on it except whatever you purchased from the "Bonesmith". So until the devs fix that, I'm going slowly rep for Athena. Lol
They at the very least need to make hats wearable for the skeleton curse
It was more a video about not going minus in gold spent on supplies, but I understand your point. Yeah the skele curse is a bit eeehhhhh but, they may add more and more to it in the future

I’ve been doing this with 16M and honestly, I haven’t seen my gold go up so much, I ended up getting matched against a ghost curse haver but I won after such a struggle

I didn't quite catch that, but does Gold really affect the match making? If so that might be why the game thinks i'm worth like all the DA Arena Veteran Insiders Crews from the world.
When i tried on my Alt that should've been my main, i found someone pratically new, and matchmaking took more than 30min so i gave up.
But everytime i get into a fight, i get the most demonic crews and sink almost immediately. (We're not that bad either, but i know for a fact i'm the Killer in there)
nooo the point this video is making is that if you keep losing, then you'll find yourself in a position where you can no longer pay to resupply at the outpost and jump back in. The only thing that will affect you matching is your win/lose rating, along with time of day :)
I usually just turn in after one win. Cause one win is usally all I could get and im glad I do cause round two is a loss every time.

I’m super new to this game (I got it like early December on sale) and I’m a total combat noob. But I still decided to try pvp. My first match ever I won somehow but that was cuz I was invading a sinking ship probably (it lasted like 1 min lol). But whenever I was battling I would get a win and lose immediately after. One match lasted 45 minutes which I did win but I spent 35 minutes of the battle bucketing and repairing which was kinda shit. I just won cuz the opponent didn’t care about their ship. But recently I managed to get a 4 win streak and I’m very proud of that since I play solo and I’m very new.
a 4 streak while being that new is incredible! You're right to feel proud! You'll get a feel for naval more and more as you progress, and before you know it you'll be level 100 🥰 keep it up!

I'm currently rank 15 in both, trying to get skelly curse first since the wait times are shorter for them but man as a pve player for my 32 days total of playtime I've certainly been defeated 95% more than expected. Our highest streak is 3 and by the 4th it just matchmakes us with the sweat lords that pin you down. Sucks the strat to sail the other player ships out the ring doesn't give the other player xp for the match.
a streak of 3 is respectable for anyone, let alone someone who primarily plays for pve. Keep it up, it's tough, but I'd say the new curses are well worth the trouble. Plus you'll be able to defend your loot way more efficiently because of all the practice 🥳

I lost motivation to play as I'm either losing a match in under 5 min or winning a match in 45 min. Among other issues like when I somehow get matched with larger crews when I shouldnt.
some of the crews are absolutely brutal, it's tough out there!

I go for that sometimes, made a video about doing it too! But, I wasn't confident I would be able to camp that crew and sail them out of bounds, felt safer to go for the traditional sink

All you really need is cannon balls and wood. 1 match covers the balls and wood. Grab food from barrels.

Honestly its rare that i get a 2 streak cause admittingly im not great and the game constantly gives me sweats so i take it where i can get it. Unless im incredibly lucky.

If you've ever played RuneScape, you know that earning xp (in this case, rep) is an investment. I am investing hundreds of thousands so that I have the possibility of gaining rep. It doesn't matter if I sink with every single one of my supplies, it doesn't matter how much I spend, every penny of that was worth it just for the rep.
I spent 1.5 mill on supplies before realising that I'm gonna need to have more gold if I'm gonna get to level 100. The gold matters if you want to grind, without it you can't get quick supps
With load times being crappy this is gonna suck.

Another fast way to level up is to drive your enemy out out of bounds

first step: get to a 1 win streak
3 ways to gain rep 4 either faction
1. win battles
2. gather loot to lvl up hour glass then sell hour glass
3. Farm losses its not admirable but its effective
how does the loot stacking method work exactly? What's stopping players from having level 5 loot, selling the hour glass, raising it again and repeating?
@@ToxieSinclaire it works jus like the emi flag you stack loot till hour glass is max lvl. sell the hour glass rinse n repeat. the drawback is you can still be invaded by other ships but it happens like 1 ship invasion every 1 or 2 hours
but then if we sell the hour glass, we'd still have the loot to do it again. There's no way it's that easy to rinse and repeat???? :0
@@ToxieSinclaire no youd have to regather the loot again for each hour glass but honestly farming losses i think is the quickest way to lvl up solo forget chasing people around just go in n sink yourself repeatedly until you have whatever lvl you want in the faction its not admirable but it works
