    Thank you so much for sharing your choices! QUESTION, will you be using the lab kit for BJU science? I have a lover of science who is so excited to do the labs but ...ouch, the prices for the kit is harsh. I believe in a previous video you shared it was worth it but curious if you still feel that way.

      Yes, they are necessary for the labs. Without the kit they would just have to watch. The price is a lot, but worth it to me: I could never find half the stuff that are in them

    Thank you for continuing to share high school homeschooling with us! My oldest is going into 7th grade so I am close to being there. It’s so helpful and encouraging to watch these!

    I would love to hear how you are putting these courses on the high school transcripts, continuing in your homeschooling high school series.

    I’ve often thought about getting some of the Apologetics courses from MB for myself. 😄 Looks like a great start to high school for your son! Crazy that you have two in HS now. I hope I still love teaching my kids when they get to that age. 🥰

    It’s nice seeing other things than TGTB. There are so many other awesome curriculum choices!

      I’ve always used a good mix of things. We don’t ever use all one curriculum

    Can you give a little peek in your daily schedule? How you plan on fitting in these group subjects. I am struggling to fit in group subjects with my kiddos. I have allotted time (1.5 hours) but we always run out of time to finish the lessons of history and or science.

    I can’t get over the BJU science price tag 😳 but really wanted to try it…

    The book For you they have signed- would that be your government requirement on a transcript? Did you use The Good and the Beautiful Constitution course as a spot on your daughters 9th grade transcript? Considering doing this possibly for American History- thoughts?

    Great video & info. I have a question: We have been using TGTB since we started a couple years ago (love!). I know you went from Math 6 to Teaching Textbooks (if I’m not mistaken) and then you started Shoreman Math. My question is: Would you have been able to go from TGTB Math 6 to Shoreman? Thank you.

    Hi everyone. I have heard that wordly wise has begun including a lot of political and social propaganda. Could anyone confirm or deny this for me as I was really excited to try it out. Thanks 🌼

      Wordly wise is a secular curriculum and always has been. They include secular beliefs and creation standpoints. There’s nothing in the books with the recent agendas being pushed. We’ve used it for years.

    We are switching from TT and am not sure where to put out my kiddos. My 9th grader (this year) hasn’t done geometry, but did Algebra 2, and my 7th grader (this year) did Pre-Algebra with TT. Any advice where to put them? They both do well in math.

    Do you buy the Lab Kits for BJU? They are so expensive.

    My son is entering 9th next year and also loves math- he will be doing Saxon Algebra 2 with geometry too! He did all Algebra 1 in his head- he has outpaced me, I need pen and paper lol. Love these choices. Can you share your assigned readers as well?

    • @GraceandGrit
      @GraceandGrit  2 роки тому +1

      Yep I’ll be sharing that in the future, because his assigned readers will largely come from tgatb since his course includes books

    I really appreciate the videos that you post for all the grades. It helps so much,thank you. I will be homeschooling for the first time a 9th grader and an 8th grader. Can both my girls still do certain subjects together? I also live in upstate New York

    Which would you recommend for a 5th, 7th and 8th grader Math Curriculum, Teaching Textbooks, Shorman Math, or Saxon ?

    Is there an order to the honors book study? I know the website says to be used in any order, but do you have insight in regards to the difficulty levels.

    BJU customer service wasn't very helpful when I asked is the 180 lessons meant for every single day? I am used to elementary homeschooling where we do history and science just once or so a week-so middle school science is done every single day?

    • @yoreshirechristianpreschool
      @yoreshirechristianpreschool 2 роки тому

      i mean clearly with 180 lessons-but it's baffling me :}

    • @GraceandGrit
      @GraceandGrit  2 роки тому

      Yes 180 days is a standard school year and every course has 100 days of information and lessons. How you do them and what you may combine into one day or skip is up to you as always.

    What gaps did you find?

    • @GraceandGrit
      @GraceandGrit  2 роки тому +3

      Too many to list, but this is a well known thing. It’s also about a grade level behind, in my experience. There are major components of algebra left out. The instruction of algebra and even pre algebra is not adequate enough to name a few.

    Its so funny that people previously stigmatized homeschooling because they were afraid they were not going to be patriotic. Now you homeschool kids to BE patriotic. I just had that thought when seeing you pull out the social studies book curriculum. lol
