Just have to say how extremely helpful your channel has been for me and my homeschool! This year we are starting our third year homeschooling after too many years in public school. When I first started, I found your channel and it helped me IMMENSELY! So a BIG THANKS to you, please keep the videos coming!
Thanks for sharing! And thank you for that comment on doubling for Spanish! This is our first year with BJU online so knowing that it’s doable to double the Spanish helps!!!
I'm using a block schedule to organize the time for my 8th grader this year: 8:00-10:00 - prayer, pledge, Bible, handwriting, writing, Language arts 30 min break with read aloud from mom 10:30-11:30 Science 11:30-12:30 US History and World history 30 min lunch 1:00-2:00 Math 2:00-3:00 Latin
My kids are younger and my oldest is the only one in school so far but I’m so thankful I found you before starting homeschooling!! Your videos have been so helpful!! Thanks, girl!!
I just finished my binders for my kiddos and also lesson planning the first week! We’ve never done morning time so I am excited to incorporate it this year. You encouraged me through your videos to do it!
I love how you've laid it out for them! I love seeing how everyone does their scheduling! The spreadsheet is how I've done it in the past and I think we will be going back to that this year! Hope y'all have an awesome school year!
Ashlee, thank you so much for making this video! I needed this! I have been struggling with our flow schedule and trying to figure it all out. It is so helpful when you do videos like this! Keep them coming PLEASE🙏🙏🙏Your channel is such a blessing to our homeschool💜
I see your daughter is doing 3rd year BJU Spanish. Mine hated BJU Spanish 1 last year and begged me not to make her do Spanish 2 through BJU. Did your daughter find Spanish two to be better than Spanish 1? I know they have a different teacher in 2.
I’ve been using this flow/routine for a couple of years with my oldest when I saw one of your older videos on it. It’s worked so well for us in all the different seasons, like being sick & pregnant and having babies/toddlers etc. Thank you sharing!
my kids are younger so im inexperienced, but do your kids do ok with all their writing lumped together like that with the handwriting/journal/wordly wise and Language Arts?
I love the binder organization! I used a pocket folder last year and well, that was a mess. lol I also like rhythms in homeschooling and not really scheduling a specific time.
We are very similar, just alternating the two older ones doing Independant work while the middle two work with me and then they switch. And it all balances on the two toddlers attitudes 😅
For your youngers, do you do multiple lessons for science and history per day? I really want to alternate the 2 but I feel like it’s almost more difficult for me personally when I do that vs doing 1 lesson of both every day. (Using Sonlight) I’m doing a 4 day schedule this year and we are doing TGATB safety unit, alternating birds unit on Fridays. (I have a science lover)
Thanks for sharing! When do your kids typically do their daily chores? Is it a first-thing or throughout the day when they choose? Have you ever compensated or rewarded them for chores? I want to instill more work ethic in my kids and think this would be a good way. Have you shared your kids chores before? I’m not new, just don’t see every post :) Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Thank you, Ashlee! 😊 What will your olders be doing while you do the BFB lessons and also what will the youngers do while you do Apologetics? (i usually lose my olders to "get done" with their independent work) thanks!!!!
Hi Ashlee! Would you pls do a video on how you do high school grading, grade keeping, etc .. I have an upcoming 9th grader and the grading part has me a little nervous. Thanks!
What program do you use to make your daily schedules?! I am not great at making those types of things; but love the layout and wanted to try and see what I could come up with. Also how do you go about checking off what you do each day so you visually see that its been done? I get overwhelmed so quickly. Thank you for the video! These always help and motivate me to get my ducks in a row!
Thanks for this, very helpful. Would you be able to share what your after school schedule looks like? I've struggled with what to do with the rest of the day🙂
How many lessons do you do for your younger two? For G&B LA and math are you doing three lessons a week? Handwriting a page a day or more? Do you ever just get the full lesson done or just stick to the pages that are due for that day only?

Summer flew by way to fast this year! We are taking a little longer because we just needed the extra rest. Love your prep videos 💙

So excited for the new school year!!
This year I am feeling overwhelmed. This video was VERY helpful. Thank you for sharing!
I love your kiddos’ book reviews. I myself read a trilogy that all your kids loved. Historical fiction, Chains, Forge, Ashes!! Excellent series!
Those books are amazing!
How many books are they reading individually? What about art/phys ed/health/music? Feeling stressed fitting everything in.Thank you!
I would love to see a video regarding the lunch schedule and menu options for the kids to put together. I need to to do that also.
I have a free pdf on my website you can download
Oh and my daughter is loving your Olivia’s recommendation - Hero(dog series)
I love how you've laid it out for them! I love seeing how everyone does their scheduling! The spreadsheet is how I've done it in the past and I think we will be going back to that this year! Hope y'all have an awesome school year!

First time trying to homeschool, you use tgatb for LA and math. What do you use for history?
What does your kids gratitude journal look like?!!!
As we’re starting our second school year homeschooling (thank God) I appreciate your videos so glad I came across them 😃

We struggled with Spanish 1, too 🙁
We’ve loved it but yes different teacher. You can go on the website and see who the teacher is

Yes. They do fine! ❤️ it’s no more than an hour total.
I clicked your video just looking for ideas but I subscribed because of apologetics! Love it! God bless you and your family!

Off topic but how do decide how many and which extra books your kids read during the year? Do you require a certain amount?
Thank you for sharing! For your high schoolers, do you have them do book reports on books they read or just the writing in their LA? Thanks! 🥰
This is greatly helpful. I wanted a simple way of keeping track of some of the little odds and ends that we do.
This is very helpful! Thank you! - Michelle :)
Our summer was too fast . My fave kind of videos- yay-
Thanks for the encouraging tips and inspiration!!
This has been so helpful. I love your ideas. Thank you!
Always my favorite video to watch for back to school! Thank you!
Great video! Where do you get your gratitude journals?
Yes on the BJU doubles! We do the same thing - those 180 lessons are no joke 🤣

No I just do one a day.

Before we start school and no compensation. Their lifestyle is the compensation 😂
Thanks. That was helpful.

(i usually lose my olders to "get done" with their independent work) thanks!!!!
