If I may could you please touch a little more with your comment about mass flow. In order for a 3 inch to flow as much as a 4 inch you would have to almost double the flow rate if I'm looking at it correctly.

Question: why terminate the drain line within the property? Won't a popup emitter like the one in the video cause erosion when water gushes out like that? I'd love to terminate within my property. because of the cost of drain pipe, but I worry that I'd lose soil around the emitters.
Wouldn’t the big box drain eventually drain out with small holes in the bottom like your clean out, the one that you sell and recommend that installs close to the gutter?

The question I have is my water seems to not come out through the omitter opening, rather it seems to discharge out between the Pipe and the turf restrictor plate, and less the omitter opening? Any suggestions?
hi - i was installing downspout around my house and i came across 2 situations: situation #1: while i was digging i found way too many obstacles like power line, water main line, sprinkler lines, underground cable... - so in some spouts i could not dig under them, so my question is, if i take my downspout line over them will the water in the downspout still flow through?? or do i have to dig underneath those pipes and then run my downspout line(corrugated but not perforated). Situation #2 - i would ideally wanted to install my popup emitter close to the road but my HOA doesnot allow any kind of digging after the sidewalk and have to get county permission (getting permission from county is tedious, time consuming and money costing)... so i was wondering if i can install my popup emitter in my lawn (of course away from my home) but before the sidewalk?? Any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm very new to doing this and i think i took this as a DIY project and now its way over my head.
When I built my French drain 2 years ago here in Ontario, Canada after watching your videos I installed a pop-up but didn't glue the pop up to the PVC pipe. It' s popped right off in a big thunderstorm but I just put it back on when the flow drops off.
@chrisrumig9114 hey, also in Ontario. Can one run the drain pipe all the way to the street or the curb in Ontario? Can one drill through the curb, or the city would not approve of that?

how deep a drain can you go before the pop up wont work.
You're not supposed to go deep when using a pop-up; you're supposed to stay as shallow as you possibly can.

It's not a big deal checking the pop-up emitter every few weeks and cutting the grass that has grown over it...not a huge deal.
The turf restrictor gives you up to 1 year of protection.
There are so many ways to keep grass from growing around it

If i was going to use a 3 downspout into 1 wye into a pop up emitter would you suggest the 90 4 inch ??

I've purchased 4 Polylok pop ups and they all have failed; it works for 1 or 2 storms then the spring does not work anymore..thoughts?

No. We try to get the water as far away from the structure as we can.
