Don't demand, chastise or blame God because he isn't in your image and doesn't do things the way you think he should. Ask kindly, graciously with respect, and then wait upon the Lord. In the meantime, keep climbing the straight and narrow path and do it WITH Him. He will walk with you, and guide and teach you every step of the way.

That’s the whole point of the situation in the first place. Humans are made for change and adversity because we are growing and are creatures of time. God uses adversity to change and grow the person before things get better so the person is more mature and dependent on God. That was the big idea with Job: to teach him to rely on God’s power and continue to obey even when it’s hard. This allows God to help him grow and give him blessings beyond himself: joy, thanksgiving in hardship, and understanding.

I grew up Christian and let go of it because I didn’t believe he could do anything for me. What I didn’t realize is how much power God has placed in the hearts and minds of mankind. He’s given us the ability to create, to love, and most importantly free will. And if we choose to follow his words, we can make the world infinitely greater than it was before. Heaven and hell also exist on earth and anyone who doesn’t follow the word inevitably creates hell for themselves and for those around them. I’m so glad I found my way back to the love of God and Jesus Christ. It’s the only thing I’ve ever done that truly saved my life. Amen!

From a scriptural standpoint, obviously Heaven is not on Earth. Neither is Hell. The book lays out a cohesive whole. Because it is Gods Word. Which is always true. Right. That’s the literalist reading.
However it is also true scripturally to say those of us saved by Christ are not of this World. We are identified with a home in Heaven. Yet while we are here, we are considered to be Citizens. If we understand that, we can manifest that destination in how we move. Eyes to the horizon. That’s called Hope. But it’s more than shallow hope where we wait beleaguered for something. Anything. Gasping for breath barely thinking of a promised relief. Staying alive more because we don’t know how to do anything but draw breath. No it’s more.
It’s something like, one who is waiting for his home to be built. Only this person is a rat to a throne world. If you lived even a fractionality in the recognition of the power of the gifts given by those things worthy to exist forever. It doesn’t matter what hole you lived in. Your entire mode of existence will align with it. Manifesting it in part even here in this dust. That’s your Heaven on Earth. It’s in you!
I suppose you could also manifest Hell. Better if you had no part in any Salvation. Though I prefer Hell and Gehenna translated as The Grave. In this way hellfire usually burns and buries the once living into the Earth. Genesis lays it out. “For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” We can live as if that is our place of living. Or unto another perfect image of man, in a perfect time, in a perfect place. And so manifest it in our ways. In us. In our current time. In our current place.
I still think in terms of literalists, but I understand the power of those words to have more than a single level of logic behind them.

Perhaps the real question is why can’t we see how God answers our prayers? I had a very silly childish prayer which was quite constant when I was a very young child. I used to pray that I could fly. Literally fly. I kept praying for that until I didn’t. I never literally gained the power to fly…but in retrospect, I discovered in conversation with my children the other day (40+ years later) that from a very early age I began to have very vivid dreams of flying. They were euphoric, gave me so much joy, were beautiful and innocent. I had those dreams many times. I only realized now that I am older…he did answer this very silly but real prayer…in my dreams. I think God always answers our prayers but not always how we think he will answer them if that makes any sense?

No. If a person you work with never speaks to you out loud, but instead "prays/ talks inside his/her head" to you... Would you ever know the questions that person has for you? No, you wouldn't know. They do not directly speak to you, but only in their minds. It is the same with God. To be in direction communication with God is to speak out loud with God. How do you think the Bible was written? Those spoke out loud with God in order for their words to be recorded into the Bible. God would rather have you speak out loud than to keep it in your thoughts. If it doesn't come out of your mouth, then you don't mean it. Your body is the temple of God, and your voice is God's voice. When you speak, the words are power. Respect the power and be careful what you say. Do speak out loud to God, as the Bible would have never been written with prayers only. Once you can feel God's presence on a daily basis will you really be amazed in what God can do. God prevented me from dying when I was physically ran over by a car (I was walking home). I could have died that day, but God kept be here.

But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. The trial becomes secondary once we've caught a glimpse of our God who helps us in our struggle.

@Salomon Ligthelm Yes, indeed. I just want to add that one innate meaning of life on Earth is suffering, even outside of God's love, because of sin's dominance over our planet since Adam and Eve's sin. One day, the saved in Heaven will, out of our own free will, no longer sin because they will have seen how evil and devastating sin turned out to be here on Earth. That will be the reason for perfection with freedom in Heaven.
Sometimes, problems come and go into our lives just because of the natural evil nature of sin on Earth.
Here is the beautiful thing: God promises that nothing will come upon us 'that we cannot handle,' in temptation or in circumstance, and He also promises that 'all things work for the good of those that love God.' Amen.

@@jaughnekow The Bible was manipulated over the years by powerful members of the church. The Bible you have today isn't the same from when it was first created. That is why contradictions in the Bible exists. Everyone is currently being mislead on the true teachings of the Bible. God doesn't stop working at the point of the Bible. Man has put God into the Bible and made it where God no longer writes new words.
God has many of us out here trying to show the truth from which it is hidden to everyone. Everyone is blindly following the church and it's teachings. Why are there so many versions of Christianity? Because, in the hearts of Christians, they feel something is wrong, but they can't quite put their finger on it... so they make adjustments to the way the view the Bible to try and correct these feelings, but it's wrong also.
The higher members of the church did not want anyone to know the true path to power. God has given man the answer on how to use the power he has given man. The church wants to keep control over the population, so they rewritten the text to suit their own evil desires.
They focused on everyone to "pray" to God, instead of just directly talking with God. The whole rewritten word focused on prayer to be the main topic throughout the Bible. "This will keep them hoping and wishing God to answer their questions". Hope is how they fueled the Bible.
If you really want God to answer you, you need to be on a one and one basis with God. Speak out loud because the word is powerful. Words are power. God gave man the power to change things by just commanding them out loud! Could you imagine how changed this world would be if everyone knew the truth and everyone was with God in this manner? If everyone was a prophet of God? The church feared this outcome and is the reason they rewritten the Bible.
God works with me and not thru me. We are one and one. Best friends. When I speak with authority, the words that come out of my mouth is powerful. God has shown me the truth.
Why don't I preach? Because God is working on a new plan to wipe the earth and start over again. Everyone is mislead to believe God won't do it again, but nobody can decide for God. Can you see how God is growing pissed off at the church? God is angry and plans to start a famine soon.
If you want to Get back into God's good side, I highly recommend you dump prayer in favor of talking out loud to God. When you ask a question to God, feel the answer. God talks back through your feelings. I've only heard God directly speak to me only once in my life. God said "Don't Do it" on the night before a group of us planned to do something that I will not say here. God hasn't spoken out loud to me since, but does give me feelings for answers to my questions.
When you and God are on the same level together, everything will make more sense. The strangest things that happen around me is when I'm speaking to other people. As I talk about something, God will show his power to them. I was talking about some black helicopters I had in a dream to a friend on mine, and low and behold, three black helicopters fly directly over us! These kind of things happen frequently with me. I strongly feel I could heal the sick by touch, but that isn't my role here, because God plans to wipe the earth again. He will keep a select few to restart again.

It's always interesting to see how people struggle with God. We all do at some level. It's because He is greater than us beyond anything we can even grasp or comprehend. He has to compensate for our limitations in order to interact with us. The reason why we can't see God is it would destroy us instantly. He is absolute pure energy beyond anything imaginable. We are very flawed and damaged beings. If you bring something damaged into the presence of absolute energy, it will simply disassemble and cease to exist. This is why God/Jesus warned Moses against trying to look at his face. Jesus also said you have not because you ask not, and you have not because you ask amiss, that is to say wrongly or inappropriately. It is beholden upon us to align ourselves with Him, not the other way around.
The reason why there's continuity in the interactions with Moses, and in the New Testament passages of Jesus, is because Jesus IS the I AM. He is the one who spoke to Moses from the burning bush. He is the one who gave Moses the 10 commandments, and that's why he had the authority to give us a new commandment just before he left us. He knows us beyond what we ourselves even know. He is the one who spoke and said "Let us create man in our image." He IS the Word, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. It's his heart that is the source of John 3:16 "For God so loved the world..." It's him and comes from him. This is why he gave us the 11th commandment "Love one another as I have loved you." Paul instructs us on how utterly important this is in 1st Corinthians chapter 13. Those attributes ARE God, they ARE Jesus and those attributes are what he commanded us to follow and seek after. They are the stepping stones that lead up the straight and narrow path.
The function of prayer is communication; both ways. Not only to ask for things, but to share the same love we are commanded to practice towards God himself! Is it not the greatest commandment to love the Lord your God with all that you are? Don't think of prayer as only asking for things. Think of it as also telling God you love him; thanking him; appreciating the life he gave us and the fact that you are alive and have the opportunity to be with Him forever. This existence we are in is temporary, it is not the promise; it is the testing ground, the time of choosing to see what you will choose. Will you believe God our father and choose his only begotten son? Or the serpent and his father, the father of lies?
Choose wisely. It should be obvious by now that we are fast approaching the final days of this age.

“He was despised and rejected- a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave. But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.”

Yes he does. Imagine if God said yes to every petition that was made to his, as he has the power to do so if he wills. We would destroy ourselves and each other with the vanities of our own selfish desires. God says no for our sakes for only he knows the true nature of the heart of man which is described in this scripture Jeremiah 17:9
      New King James Version
9 “The heart is deceitful above all things,
      And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?. That desperately wicked there in its original language meant incurably sick as in no being can can diagnose the illness nor treat it outside of God himself. Here's passage in James 4:3 that speaks to Christians about their selfish motives when praying 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. God is more interested in the condition of the heart of he/she that is petitioning him and its desires. So when one postures oneself to approach the throne of he who is holy and just, think about the state of ones heart and ask him to make it just like his in desire and will and you will see that your petitioning will begin to change from that of self sustainment to that of self sacrifice and his glorification over your gratification. I hope this helps to answer your question

Actually you are proving my point. James states it clearly. God doesn’t say no but we ask the wrong way. No is a definite answer. On a personal level, we don’t have no as answers. We have unanswered prayers because we ask the wrong way. The onus is on us and not on God. The only reference when God says no is during Urim and Thumim. And that is collective but not personal. We need to move from repeating statements that are common but are not scriptural. Daniel 10 presents delay in an answered prayer because there was a demonic force preventing the response. Romans 12 talks about the transformation that allows us to have the mind of God. I believe once we are transformed by the renewing of the mind, we have the will of God and get all of our prayers answered.

@@gerlygermain7906 He said no to Paul. Paul asked 3 times to be healed from his thorn in flesh and God answered by saying "My grace is sufficient for you, my strength is perfected in your weakness", I.e no it is not my will heal you from this but for you depend on my strength and grace to allow you to endure it. In fact you just made my point by your statement. An unanswered prayer in the context you gave is still God saying no, as in that is not my will for you, that is your will for yourself. And that's the essence of his answering prayer. He does so according to his will and purpose. In fact if you look at the example of Paul that I gave look at Paul's response to Gods answer, he stopped praying for healing when he heard Gods will concerning his situation and instead he began to glorify God in the midst of his infirmity, he began to see things even more from Gods perspective. That's one of the important aspects of prayer, what will our response to Gods answer be, even if he answers in the negative or does not answer at all. How many believers have sick relatives/friends that have prayed for healing for them and instead of recovering they got even sicker and even died, I've seen this recently with my wifes family. They lost 3 aunts in 1 month this year, and this is biblically sound, prayerful and worshipful family that's committed to God. Yet when these ladies got sick and we prayed for healing for them, he didn't heal them but took them home. We have to understand that God is sovereign and regardless of what we pray to him his will is what he will fulfill, which means he will answer as he choses. Yes, No, and at times not yet. Our position should be to give him Glory and honor regardless of how he answers and trust that what he wills is what is best for us.

@Ramon Pilgrim. I do agree with you on Paul requesting for the thorn in the flesh to be removed but God answered differently. You are correct on this one. I just believe we have a serious responsibility to ask properly and grow in faith

In reality we should not be worried so much if God hears our prayers- he does and he does care. What we should be worried about is because of temptations, and hard times and trials we get discouraged and give up praying. In Luke 18:1, Jesus spoke a parable to them that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.
God is a God of love, and he’s interested in every detail of our lives.. he knows what’s best for us and knows what we need and not what we want so sometimes the answer is no and sometimes it’s wait. ( Hebrews 10:36). We need to end each prayer with “ not my will but yours.”✝️❤️❤️✝️
