Ice Maker not working EASY FIX DIY Whirlpool Refrigerator Troubleshoot Solution

My whirlpool ice maker was dripping,had icicles and then froze over. Eay fix. The inlet water valve is normally the problem and needs to be replaced. Easy fix without calling a proffesional out. Save money.
The inlet water valves range from 20.00 to 70.00 depending on your refrigerator.

Helpful video. I had a crack in the plastic where the water input connected. It was nice to find a cheap (50$) part with easy replacement! Thanks for posting.

After replacement of the valve do you have to do anything to get the water to come back into the ice maker?

I am not getting water to Dispense into the ice maker. I shut the freezer off for a half hour and used a blow drier but water still not dispensing. Is it my valve?

My ice maker stopped making ice
. I took the cover off where the ice is made and the tube to disperse water was solid ice. I got a hair dryer, melted all the ice and now its making ice. Its been one day so far, we'll see if problem is solved.
