AJ the editor, shout-out to you for helping pump out these videos nonstop for a month. And loving your interaction with Jrose through the video. Keep it up, your work is not unnoticed
one thing I always love about jrose’s videos is the emotion in his voice, and this video really shows that off. This run is two years old and you can still tell how he felt at the time and how he feels now rewatching it! He could be a voice actor
You know what’s funny jrose? This run ended up being like a fossil because you had lost your hard drive two years ago! How appropriate for this fossil Pokémon. I always picked the helix fossil when I was a kid. Thanks for another solid run and thank to your editor for cranking them out with you!
The month of Jrose has been such a treat! The variety in videos, the difficulty scale, and the 25+ minute mark on each upload has been amazing! I’m not looking forward to it ending, but the consistent quality on each upload is why Jrose is one of my favorite content creators. Keep up the great work!! ❤️
I love that Jrose constantly shouts out AJ. Editors are the unsung heroes of online content and it's really great that Jrose gives him so much credit and visibility. It speaks volumes I think!
As someone who's been here from the start, I absolutely loved the whole meta creator commentary thing this video had! Also I could've sworn that the Omastar run had already happened but I guess that was only in the Bearenstein dimension...
I was always impressed with jroses ability to pump out one video a week consistently, considering how much time it takes to do the run and edit, the nuzlockes and impossible ones especially. These everyday videos have been a real treat and I just hope he and aj don't burnout.
I'm almost certain they have, hence the long hiatuses between videos. Heck, in this video alone he mentions "2020 Jrose" and how this video sat for quite a while
@Matteo Migliore actually it is don't. A contraction of do not. Doesn't is a contraction of does not. "I hope he and aj 'does not' burnout." is grammatically very incorrect.
@@discocharizard Yeah absolutely. Sometimes you were lucky to get one a month. Having an editor helps tremendously. And this is a great video to start on because it'll give context to how much his recent runs have improved vs 2020. There's some fun videos you should definitely check out like from his "impossible" series.
In fact I'd reccommend the "Is it Possible to Beat the Elite Four with *ONLY LEVEL 5 POKEMON* in Red/Blue?" because that video is a treat and shows really how much thought he puts into his videos.
Whenever Jrose compares a Pokémon to mewtwo, it feels like a parent comparing their child who tries really hard but struggles in school to their sibling who doesn’t try but breezes through everything.
I really enjoyed this kind of voiceover with the sort or retrospective. And the little editter notes are also fun. All in all fun video, keep up the good work :)

You improved so much, I am kind of jealous. I've done a handful of these solo runs myself and I always keep having to look up where to go and where to find hidden items. Will you maybe do a routing and item guide for these? I think that would be very interesting. Rare candies, Elixers, PP Up, good tm moves, nuggets, everything.
Would be cool to include all vitamins and where they can be found if it's worth going out of your way for them or if he just grabs the handful in silph co that arent out of the way and buys the rest
The minimal battles thing is actually really cool and I look forward if he does it in gen4. But yeah I'm glad he's abandoned that line of thinking in solo runs. His minimum battles videos actually inspired me to do a minimum battles run in Final Fantasy Tactics, which by the way is really hard. You can take no optional battles for grinding which is an important component for a normal run. You can technically abuse the last enemy in any battle to level up as much as you want but I banned that for my run. Never completed it by the way lol.
@@Xpwnxage Minimum battles was a great metric for comparing the best pokemon, but he's already done most of them now, and sometimes a Pokemon's performance will be hurt in attempting minimum battles when they would've been better off just going fast with some extra battles.

Genuinely the most engaging run I've seen from you, usually I just use these as some background noise but I managed to get really invested in this one
Just use Bide
ngl this video is the best lol, I feel like hearing you go off topic just reminds me that I watch your videos mostly for you not the game play. been watching these for... oh god its been like almost 3 years... I remember when you're first form starter videos came out lol
So cool to see the tier list being made, but even cooler is the fact that Jrose walks us trough his learning process of the runs, strats, and even editing. Thanks for the great and engaging content :]
Going back to this in 2024, Jrose does a lot better with strategies and time management. Watching you just stop was so rough. We've all been there.
Loving the retrospective meta-analysis of your content.
As far as I can tell, the last time you went to Rival 4 with 2 badges was Poliwag.
Thanks for your videos; the struggle is akin to Tom Hanks trying to make fire in Castaway! only note would be to let some more f-bombs go after the 15 minute mark
Masterpiece video with the meta comentary and AJ's interventions. Very interesting to see an older run
I actually love the longer videos, I like watching them while I shiny hunt :)
really loved your meta analysis, gotta be critical of yourself

Fact 3: Only the Geodude line and Onix learn Rock Throw by level up.
Fact 4: No Rock-type Pokémon learn Rock Slide by level up.
Fact 5: Rock Slide has no secondary effect in gen 1.

Holy hell, I worry for your sleep schedule or lack thereof but you've been killing it dude
Thank you for all your hard work JRose! My 5 year old baby boy and I absolutely love watching your content together! He may get mad at me, if he realizes I've been watching you at work without him. Lol
Keep up the great work!
The month of Jrose has been awesome.
"The less you have to turn, the better".
So this is a Zoolander run.
The month of Jrose has been amazing :) Praise Helix!!!
There's something hilarious about one of the top meme Pokémon finishing at level 69.
the best video series on UA-cam. Shout out to the whole production team
This was really fun to watch and it was nice to see how much better this runs got over the time. And you shouldn’t feel too bad about this run tbh. The Squirtle run was much worse 😂
