I have two of these chairs and both need some work. One belonged to my grandma, who raised me, and it was my favorite chair to sit on at the dining room table when I was little, so I have a lot of fond memories with it. The seat is really torn up on it and it's missing some screws. I wasn't sure how to replace the fabric on the seat, so I'm excited to see a video on how to do it!
This is exactly the type of video I was looking for. I just found one of these stools just sitting in my parents basement and I felt like I had won the lottery 🤣 I’m going to refinish it this weekend. Wasn’t sure how easy it would be to take the seat off to reupholster. Thank you!
Nice! I just got a really, really, really rusted old step stool and I hope my after looks as good as your before! I’m old and not too handy, but this was inspiring. Thank you.

This is GREAT information! Thank you!
Use 0000 steel wool and metal.polish to clean up chrome.
Use a hairdryer to form vinyl around corners.
Masking tape is your friend...Use it.
Thank you that was my question!

to limit the creases, use the correct fabric.....4 way stretch vinyl
So glad I found this! I picked up an identical step stool at an antiques mall for $9 and it needs a lot of TLC

I've heard a wet ball of aluminum foil will clean up chrome rust spots.
Good idea!
