- It's no secret that Joey Landreth is one of the most impressive guitar players and songwriters of our time. When we started working with Joey in 2017 we shortly realized our shared passion for harmonic tremolos and in discussing what the ideal amp would look like a new amp was soon in the works. We have been working together on this project for the last six years and we couldn’t be more excited to be able to release this unique amplifier.
The Joey Landreth Signature amp is a 100 watt (4x 6L6) single channel amplifier with a harmonic tremolo circuit, bias tremolo circuit and an analog tube spring reverb.
Due to worldwide demand 100 limited edition signed amps will be built.
Glad Joey got a signature amp from such a killer manufacturer. He’s one of the best guitarists on earth and should be more widely recognized.
How Joey can be this good? I've been asking this question to myself since the very first time I came across him. truly a guitar genius. I love you to bits man.
Joey is a breath of fresh air. I've not had a 'new' favourite guitar player since I discovered Eric Johnson about 15 years ago. If only I could afford this amp!
i could listen to him play all day and sing!
Joey is one of my favorite guitarists. So glad Two Rock launch his signature amp. Both trems sound fantastic. Can't wait to hand on the real amp.
What a great singer, song writer and truly one of the greatest guitarist of all time. I am 64 years old and have heard every genre of music and almost every guitarist out there and few cats can sing and play with such emotion. Joey you have a soul like very few do when it comes to your musical gifts. As a person you can tell you come from great stock .I just pray you come to Central NY soon .
Joey seems a lovely person and an amazing guitar player.
He deserves the best amp. Damn he sounds beautiful!
Joey and Eli deserve all the credit in the world. As does the production team for this beautiful video. But can we get a hallelujah for Alex Sorokin and the exquisite instrument that Joseph his playing!?
As is the case whenever I hear Joey play, actively weeping, smiling, pants tightening...all the things. This is absolutely a pinnacle amp for a pinnacle player.
Absolutely stunning sounding (hardly surprising with Joey at the helm!) What an absolute match made in heaven!
Deserved recognition for one of the all time greats
Everything Joey is amazing, a superb sound for a superb player!
Joey, that was the most musical ad I've seen in a really long while. I wish I had $13k CDN to spend on that amp!!!
Congratulations @joeylandrethmusic for reaching this milestone!
I have a select few amps that when I play, I have no desire for more... Then I hear this... damn.
I've retired from playing now at 71 after playing gigs all my life. This makes me just want a Sorokin guitar and a Two Rock Joey Landreth Signature amp. Do you think it's over the top to have them at this point in my life with zero gigs to do? I'd have to sell a kidney, but I'm thinking about it. This is so so beautiful, thanks goes to everyone involved.
you should definitely go for it ! both are hard to fine but less than free time in our life
You only live one life. Even if you're only playing for yourself, you've earned the right to have whatever your heart desires.
If I were 71, I'd pretty much be buying anything and everything I want, because, in the end, I want the last check I write to bounce to ensure I spent it all...and then some.
@Blues Deville you're gotdang right!
@Dave, go for it, just do it bud.
I'm turning 36..or maybe it's 37 on the 15th (memory sucks anymore 😂) and I'm buying the gear I want these days, regardless of playing at home or out. Make yourself happy!
Like the fellers above said, we got one life. Live it up!
Just go for it! I’ve heard people living to 100 with one kidney but die young for dreams not fulfilled! No regrets for what you do, just for what you don’t do! Worst that can happen is sell it back at about the same price that you payed! But men, the hours of fun that you are going to get are priceless!
Insane. What a killer amp and obviously one of the best players.
I am obviously 100% into this ❤️
Inexplicable. True magic. Brings me closer to the Lord.
So cool! Congratulations Joey, Eli and rhe rest of the Two-Rock crew!
Very deserved. What in the world is that stretch at 2:59? Only Joey man, sheesh. Sounds great guys.
I saw the landreth bros in a super small room last year, still my best show ever
There’s something about Joey playing guitar that can’t be described, just appreciated. Very human also, he’s not playing the rockstar out there
I’m so happy Joey got a signature amp. He is one of the most deserving artists to have a signature amp. And it sounds incredible. Can’t wait another 6 years when the waiting list gets to me..😂😂. Congrats Joey!!!
Beautiful playing. BYOOOTIFUL. So glassy and reflective. NEAT.
Joey, you rock. Your touch and sound are unmistakable. And Two Rock, you guys make some of the greatest amps on earth.
Yet another masterpiece delivered.....wow! Sounds amazing, great job Two-Rock and Joey. Great way to bring in 2023
Everything about this video is so right. Joey, Two-Rock, and one heck of a collaboration. What a joy to watch, and hear of the birth of such a perfect amp, and of the irrefutable synergy of two behemoths in the world of electric guitar. 💫🧡
There are some truly amazing young slide players out there these days. Joey, Ariel Posen, Ian Thornley, Megan Lovell, Justin Johnson, Eric Steckel, Derek Trucks, and so many others.
The blues and the slide are alive and well.
Both amp and playing sound wonderful. A perfect pairing.
Ah Joey, You're SUCH a cool guy and one hell of a great writer and guitarist! You definitely deserve the honor of a Two Rock signature amp. And yeah it sounds awesome!
And a compelling natural vocalist - authentic. Could listen to Joey for a long time
Sounds amazing Joey!
Congrats Joey! The amp sounds fantastic!
Beautiful tones
I worked at a Guitar Center in 2004 I think (terrible with dates) and a guy came through who was on the road promoting this amp he had in his car. He brought it inside the store and it was a “Two Rock” I seemed to be the only one super interested in what it was. He came with me to a blues jam that night and brought the amp. He was a good slide player that worked for Two Rock. I wish I knew who he was today. We went and jammed and had a blast at Barclays dive bar in Phoenix Oregon.
Everything about it is amazing and the demo is top notch.
Good to see this partnership happening. Big fan of both TR and Joey.
I bought 2 Two-Rock amps, still own one now, the Studio Signature, and it’s IMHO the best alternative to Fender Clean amps… I just wish Two-Rock would release an amp that would be the best alternative to Marshall Amps…. And also bring the Cardiff back ;)
Nice work, Joey! Good on ya.
Sounds glorious!!
What a great pairing! One of today's best guitarists and one of today's best amp makers. What a super cool feature to have both harmonic and bias tremolo that can be used simultaneously.
i was gonna show you this, but i shoulda known you already knew about it!
@@dylansneed4974 Ha!
Sounds amazing mate! Not surprised.
Everything about this is beautiful including the new animation for the Two Rock logo. So so good Two Rock, Eli and Joey!
🔥🔥🔥 Sounds so good! 🙌
Love it! My fav slide player hands down
That amp sounds amazing!
Good lord this sounds incredible
Congratulations ! That sounds and looks fantastic. Regards from Spain Joey ❤
Oh this sounds amazing
Excellent!
This is about as close to a perfect "all in one" amp iv'e heard
This is outstanding news! Deserving for JL and backed by the ever transcending TR. I am a proud owner of two, will try to make it 3 TR’s
BRAVO!
Dumble heaven 😍 monstrous player he is indeed
Awesome guitar player and nice guy...
It sounds every bit as gorgeous as you'd expect [...drools] from an amp that carries Joey's signature on it
Another incredible amp that I’ll never be able to afford…. Cheers to those who with enough dough to buy one of these… I ain’t made at ya
Wow - What a great new years gift & congrats to Joey, Eli, Mac, Bill & team on what’s sure to be a phenomenal amp!!
Eli - we chatted at the Ariel Posen concert in Austin about this amp. You weren’t kidding about a “surprise coming soon” 😉 We’ll see if you’ve made enough for me to get one!
Cheers! 🥂
Amazing! Cheers, Eli
Sounds Great. Agreed very much built for the 75 working guitar players who can afford it.
Magnifico.💪💪💪💪💪💪
Beautiful sounding amp and loving the 3x10 cab.
Thought he was going to break into Shuggie Otis' "Sweet Thang" for a minute there.
Joey's the fucking man!
Super !
I hope Joey plays a few other gigs here in Australia after BluesFest.
Somewhere Mick from that Pedal Show’s wallet is weeping
finally!
oh man ❤
🔥
Killer mustache!
Way to go Joey! 😊
Sounds gorgeous...although part of me also wants to hear Joey tearing it up with some searing slide tones which I presume the amp also does? 🙂
Joey, said in another interview that he did prefer the overdrive channel in the Bloomfield. Is this a one channel amp, and is it based on the overdrive or clean channel? Love the tremolo and the sound clips. Joey is one of my favorite players, this amp suits him well😎
fuck yeah dude!
Will offer the highly unoriginal observation that fine as the signal path here is, the path begins with Joey Landreth, and he wound sound extraordinary on the most bland solid state path available. The guy's art is really something, in my mind.
Joey without a beard… who is this man? 😂
Wonderful what is the mics used?
take my money!
Anyone knows if any pedals were used for the sounds in the video?
Apart from the tremolos and verb, how's the amp different from any of the other clean platforms TR make?
How would you go about securing one of these? Not for sale at two rock home.
Joey you look like Dan!
What pedal do you think is being used to create those amazing individual note / harmonic sustains on the first tune?
Don't know exactly but you can get similar sound with the Strymon Flint on Room reverb (80's) with a generous tad of decay
Its the Chase Bliss CXM 1978
From a fellow 71 yr old and player….sell the kidney.
I’ll have his old one then if he’s finished with it. He don’t need to sign it nor nuffin.
how i get on of those
What capo is that ?
How does a person keep a straight face while describing an amp that costs at least $7000 CAD as “very much built for the working guitar player”🙄
This amp will be £8,500+ GBP, which means it'll be $10,000+ USD, which means it'll be $14,000 CAD.
That shit's ridiculous... But they're only making like 75 of them so the doctors, lawyers, dentists will be buying them up.
It sounds amazing clean but can it chug too ? That’s my question o need it to do both.. can’t someone just rip a Ramones song and let’s see how it sounds like ? F
I love this amp so much, but can't afford it. "For the working guitar player" is quite a stretch, IMHO. I've been working (in Nashville) a LONG TIME and Two Rock's are out of reach for 90%+ of the guys I play with. We sure talk about em all the time though. It's ok to be expensive, y'all make phenomenal amps, but advertising them "for the working player" is asinine...and I think y'all know it.
I agree.
$10,000+ for a 100 watt tube amp head (only God knows how much the matching 3x10 cab will cost) is definitely not priced for the working guitar player, or the working mechanic, or the working electrician. This is priced for the working blues lawyer, the working blues doctor, or the working blues dentist.
If I were a player of the caliber that could have a signature amp, I'd have one that is indeed affordable for the working guitar player or a tradesman.
Maybe build for the working guitar player, but not priced for him.
If he could just play and not talking.
