I got to meet Joey at the hotel lobby after NAMM. I can not begin to describe to you how lovely and nice and humble and kind he was. I felt like I was just talking to a pal I’ve known for years. Insane guitar player, remarkable human.
Great interview, Mark. These guys are so talented and write killer tunes. I’m also a fan of Rick’s vibe circuit. It’s cool to see Joey using one. Thanks for sharing!
@@markhopkinsmusic Yes, my wife who had never head them said " imagine if the beatles could harmonize like these guys". THere was a person at our table ( hi Myles!) so overcome with emotion that tears were just flowing from the second song. this was truly special, and the only thing is that it's almost criminal they are not more known to play in bigger places.
I know for a facts it’s because he gets more out of these pedals and two rock than he does from the deluxe amp itself. I also do not agree that a two rock 50-100 watt with these pedals are lower volume than a single 12 tweed deluxe. Yes, they are loud but not a full as a full size cab and amp at the volume I’m hearing through this room mic

All Accurate. So glad you got to meet him, man!
Love this Mark, great job! The Bro's are the greatest and Joey is the best!
Heck yes, thanks buddy!

Thanks for watching!
That show was eeeeppppic. Sound (acoustic and electric set) was insane. What a band (and venue).
Agreed!
The Bros are the best… 👏👏👏
Indeed!
So good. I love Roman just chilling in the background 😂
Thanks for watching!!
I'll be seeing them in Houston, so happy
It’s such a good show you’re gonna have a blast!
@@markhopkinsmusic it was incredible. intimate room BIG sound, and incredible playing. still in awe
@@romestant that acoustic set was crazy good right!? Harmonies for days!

@@romestant couldn’t agree more. But that’s all gonna change I bet. So live up the small stages for now my friend 🤘
So great - thanks! Any idea what the Vemuram pedal on top of the amp was?
Honestly I didn’t even see it. We were crunched for time so I just hit the ground running.
Now that I’ve zoomed in, it looks like the Vemuram Butter Machine. Thanks again for the great interview!
@@mattmcculloch7300 makes sense since Joey loves Landau.
Wonder why he chooses to do the pedals that emulate a deluxe over using the real thing and a power station? Either way sounds amazing!
I mean, he’s got that Two Rock - which I’ve played through and it feels sooo dang good! It sounded epic in that room.

@@StratTones I get it. I think it's just GAS lol. Joey could play through a cantaloupe and it'd sound amazing.
Was Joey talking about the 25th of April? 👀 Looks like he got something going on with Origin Effects
Ahh just realised it's probably the new cali76 they released yesterday
@@wkp1908 yup 100% - sounds great!
@@markhopkinsmusic been searching for the right comp for ages, might give this a try!
