I totally believe what we were chosen to do is simply live life and enjoy it as it should be, We were meant to be a light unto the nations, to be by example the best way humans should behave..not the best religion, not the chosen people in other ways but we were given the torah, that is meant to be a great example of how to live life with the best outcomes. We are meant to be by our example a light forward, that is why when any Jewish person does wrong we all feel it, he has let us all down in our mission. We have to try to be better and to do better, not to be above anyone, not to look down on anyone but to simply live life how it should be, in peace and love and care for one another. That is our promise to G-d. I may see it simply and I apologise for that but it is how I see it. I am an ashkenazi jewish person...for what that may mean lol.
I don't want to say anything generally about any group. I think generalizations do not necessarily help us in any way. However, I would point to culture as being a strong indicator of success. As the Rabbi alluded to Torah, I think that the great success of the West has been a wholesale melding of Jerusalem with Athens. Jesus, the Word made flesh takes on a whole new dimenstion when written in the Gospels in Greek. Jesus is the Logos, and the logos is what the ancient Greek philosophers were searching for. The Logos also means the 1) "meaning of all things", 2) "the wisdome which is the understanding of the meaning of all things", 3) as well as "the words which are the revelation of the wisdom which is the understanding of the meaning of all things". The manifestation of the Logos has metaphysically been what has brought the West to success.
If you play out the scenario of a gifted minority, who is advantaged mentally but not in other ways that live disporiated, the result is the majority will be forced to control their numbers and power unless they will eventually be ruled by a minority. This is why having a state is so important for Jews but also a threat to others because undivided Jews have a locus to protect themselves. This is why the existence of a Jewish state is a red line for many Arabs and why so many other countries take a harsh approach rather than be neutral out of a subconscious fear of unchecked concentrated competence that appears to be supernatural.

G-D Almighty demanded of Jews, over 3,300 years ago(!!), to be literate, numerate (as Holy Hebrew letters & words form mathematical equations, called Gematria). The holy Jewish Oral Torah (the Mishnah and Talmud), both are the sources of two important things that ALL Abrahamic religions rely on: 1) Gematria - which is the numerical values of the Holy Hebrew Language and Scriptural mathematics taught to the Jewish people by G-D, +3,300 years ago, since Jewish Oral Tradition is what gives each letter a number and combinations of words and phrases equal mathematical equations. 2) Vowel placement - original Holy Hebrew Scriptures, have always been written on animal hide (parchment), with organic ink, and yet written without vowels! Its an American thing , none of my friends in Israel including me are in high places . In Israel only a small percentage seem to have any special intellegence .
Not just America, most places in the world where there are significant Jewish communities, and most of those tend to be displaced eastern European, or Ashkanasi Jews that migrated after WWII. It's the Ashkanasi that are, on average about 15 points above the normal distribution, but that population still has a significant number overlapping with the normal distribution, so they're not all budding geniuses. Israel is a mixing pot of Jews from everywhere, and a myriad of other cultures as well, so the population would more likely reflect an average, normal distribution, more in line with the rest of the world. There is another possibility, but it's less likely; EVERYONE in Israel is a budding genius, but you're still going to have a distribution graph that, on its own, looks like everyone else's. So, while people at the low end are highly intelligent, they have to compete with the super-geniuses at the high-end. And, unfortunately, societies still need people to cook, clean, build houses, work checkouts, etc. I think the first explanation fits the data better. Also, the second one is not very egalitarian...
You should travel more... people in other countries really lack creativity and thinking outside the box like they do in Israel. Even in everyday things, I was shocked when I lived outside Israel for a few years.
