Seriously, this just popped up in my feed while i was driving, and i thought it was going to be a much more popular video. What i didn’t expect was for it to only have 250 likes and 6k views
He rarely posts and the span between vids are 5-9 months long. U can't grow a new channel with a release schedule like that
Yuriko’s quest line still brings me to tears. Every time I play through it, it genuinely breaks me as I’ve lost close friends here. But I like the fact that the Guiding Wind and the Golden Birds are personifications of loved ones.

Fun fact concerning Jin's sword. While they used the much more widely recognizable Katana as his main weapon, in the japanese voice-over they consistently refer to his sword as a tachi. So even while they took these liberties, they honoured the more historically accurate version through their dialogue

I think at least part of the reason Shimura asks Jin to write the last words of both clan Sakai and Shimura is because he knows that he'll lose to Jin, either because he's not able to keep up with the younger Jin or can't bring himself to kill the man he raised as his son. And since refusing the Shogun's orders would dishonor him as well, Shimura has Jin write the poems in order for him to have a more honorable death in the duel instead of writing his clan's before he commits seppuku.

I absolutely love ghost . The Japanese culture is my favorite! I love their music so much I barely listen to English writers anymore cause it’s like all the same now . I love anime they just have so much! This game is so beautiful! Honestly I love flashbacks cause I like having context.

the biggest plot hole in the story is the fact that either shimura is a dumb politician or a lousy general because he could have prevented both losing his heir and his legacy if instead of repairing the bridge he opted for a siege of the remaining castle

I love that the use of the poison has consequences for Jin, with the Mongols using it against the civilians. It allows the player/Jin to ask the question if that method was worth it as it meant excruciating death for many Innocents.

Sometimes the dialogue is cliche and makes me cringe.
Sakais uncles relationship with his nephew and whole "honor" Samauri "hangup" while understandable for gameplay interest , is frankly a bit hypocritical. It is well known now that there were many Samauri who regularly engaged in what could be considered "Ninja" tactics when necessary. Unconventional weapons, use of gun powder, explosive, smoke bombs, poisons, traps, espionage and silent killing instead of the normal expected claiming of lineage, display of glory, and face to face battles. I always see this game as what happened in a past life for Iron Chef Hiroyuki Sakai😂 great video
