To me is the GOAT of guitar ... no other words are needed! I saw him live twice and I was AMAZED!
Lots of superb tremoloes on his performance. But mostly real high feeling.
Its amazing how you can hear every note he plucks with such clarity among all the other countless notes! I can totally understand why he is such a legendary icon!!!
You say all the right words about this man and this music! Thank you 🎶❤️
I can totally understand why he is such a legendary icon!
@@TheKillogicEffect I was so happy to see him live here in Norway. It was amazing. Recomend his concert in Berlin with full band and you Get the Dance too. Happy summer my friend
And hey you will be the first to react to this artist from France. Very different from Paco. But still very amazing. ua-cam.com/video/9zQX2XqAE8c/v-deo.htmlsi=A-3ImpZO_6nlFfMW
Como siempre, es un placer ver tu reacción a un video de Paco de Lucia.
Este hombre, con miles de horas de práctica, convirtió su talento natural en LA EXCELENCIA.
🤘🤘PACOTHEGOAT🤘🤘
Absolutely!!! Spain has a lot to be proud of! I am thankful for him and all his inspiration on music then, now and into the future!
He was a monster. I saw him 6 times in different concerts and every single concert was tremendous, amazing, unbeliaveble. I am from Argentina, your channel is fantastic! Congrats!!
Thank you very much I appreciate that! I can understand why he is such a legendary icon! I only wish I would have known of him sooner!

See that and translate! He explains how break walls between differnt sounds and music helped he to learn more and more... Jazz impro and open mind helped he and us to enjoy this gods' pesent.
If Spain were an instrument, it would be a guitar. And if it were a concert, it would be the Aranjuez concert. After having listened to so much of Paco... it is time for you to listen to his interpretation in this concert. Paco spent several days locked up with a classical guitarist to learn each and every detail...
, with very complex passages. Among the audience at the concert were dozens of classical guitarists, watching every single note, every single mistake, every single flaw. He had none. Joaquin Rodrigo, the composer, was also there. Paco said afterwards that he had never been so nervous.
But first you have to know what that concert represents... the pinnacle of Spanish classical music.
Joaquin Rodrigo and his wife spent their honeymoon in Aranjuez, hence the name of the concert. Some time later they went to Germany. There they were expecting their first child. The child was stillborn, and his wife nearly died.
The 2nd movement of the concert represents the composer's anger with God for his wife's miscarriage, and he asks God for her to survive. It is a dialogue between him (the guitar) and God (the orchestra). In the background, always the pulse of a beating heart, that of his wife between life and death. There is grief, anger and despair. In the end, at the climax of the guitar and the orchestra, he "hears God" and finally there is the acceptance of the destiny God has given him.

great!!!
Paco speaks to you through his guitar. He tells you a story in which you can imagine the places he is talking about.
Hello! As you said no words needed, no lyrics. Just Paco and his guitar, showcasing tenderness and emotion, the nostalgia and enchantment of Granada. Lovely reaction as usual! Thank you so much 😊
Thank you very much I really appreciate it! It is easy to see why he is such a legendary icon!
Great reaction, enjoyed it a lot
When you said you almost can't comprehend everything he's doing - that's really what we're all thinking. Genius
Thank you very much I really appreciate it! It is quite clear why he is such a legendary icon and still manages to surprise and impress beyond words! Genius is an excellent way to explain such greatness!
Gracias gracias brother from spain thank you...Viva Paco
Gracias. Soy español. Y lo que siente y transmite Paco no se aprende, se nace con ello.
Yeah to be this good takes more than practice its because you are born with a little something extra than everyone else!
I had the Fuente y caudal LP where this one appeared and since those days back in the mid seventies Reflejo de luna has been one of my favorites. Is very moving to hear you talk about this music like you do and expand the flamenco culture. These days here in Spain has come out an special edition of the first recordings of Paco in a duet format with his singer brother Pepe. They were about 11 and 13 years old at that time, and although he still had not reached the peak of his art he plays an amazing guitar while Pepe sings out his guts as an accomplished flamenco singer in spite of his young age.So in the video we see a young Paco ,may be in his 30es he already had a career behind him
I would love to get some Paco on vinyl because I feel it would really capture the tiny nuance in his playing! The way he is able to produce emotion and tell a story with the guitar the way he does is unmatched! I can totally understand why he is such a legendary icon! Do you have an album you would suggest? I'm sure there is quite a few to pick from....
@@TheKillogicEffect Hello,it´s not easy to pick just one. There´s the "Fuente y caudal" lp from 1973,all flamenco stuff plus Entre dos aguas. In 1981 he released the LP "Yo solo quiero caminar",with his brother Pepe on vocals in the title theme and the addition of electric bass, flute and percussion.Nobody had done anything like that before. There´s "Siroco" lp from 1987 and "Luzia" from 1998.This one is one of my personal favorites and Paco even dares to sing a verse in two of the songs dedicated to the late Camaron and to Paco´s mother Luzia recently deceased. Thanks again for helping to spread flamenco culture.
@@TheKillogicEffect Fuente y Caudal and Almoraima for example. Fuente y caudal has become the bible for the new generations of Flamenco guitar players, they learn to play the whole album top to bottom. Later records are unbelievable too but those two records from the 70's are a really good place to start.
If you want enjoy a concert of Paco at his peak watch this concert of 1990 in Seville:

Awesome reaction!
It'd be nice if you have a look of Adagio concierto de Aranjuez played by Paco.😊😊😊
Fantastic suggestion! I own the CD and he was great in this immortal piece!
I add another suggestion: FRIDAY NIGHT IN SAN FRANCISCO with also AL DI MEOLA and JOHN MCLAUGHIN.
Argentine living in Spain): I saw (I think) all the videos you have reacted to of Paco de Lucía. And I'm happy to see your evolution when pronouncing his name. I can almost identify from the first to the last in time, just by the improvement of your pronunciation. In the present video you are almost touching perfection.
Thank you I really appreciate it!
I wonder if there is anything in this world that I am looking forward to as much as a new reaction to a video of Paco de Lucía.
Thank you so much.
I don't think it will ever happen, but if you ever react to a Paco song and you don't like it, I think I'll die, jajajaja.
I don't know how he could maintain that level of interpretation, taking into account that he is playing in public and above all, that the whole country is so aware of all your work, of every note.
Yeah I dont think I will ever come across something of his I wont like! Spain has a lot to be proud of, its totally understandable to anyone who listens for five seconds why he is such a legendary icon!
Simplemente espectacular 🔝PASSION ❤
May I suggest Paco de Lucia playing "Monasterio de sal" at The Corries and Other Folk (scottish tv program)
Absolutely!!! Thank you for the suggestion I really appreciate it and I will be checking that out for sure and adding it to the Paco playlist!

You're welcome !
Something else you pointed out that's often overlooked about Paco, we are so mindblown by his unbelievable speed and technique that we almost always forget to appreciate the genius of a melodist he was. Flamenco guitar has that unique expressive traditional sound and he pushes that to the level where it takes you on an emotional journey . BTW, This is even more true in his studio albums than in live performances (where he always tries to mix parts from multiple pieces and the melodic structure gets a bit "watered down").
Que bonito, los pelos de punta ❤❤
thanks for reacting to this amazing granaina
if you like Carlos Montoya you should react to sabicas which was Paco's idol as a kid
I would recommend you to react to his Punta y tacon which is an amazing farruca by him
and also
I would still recommend you to react to Paco's tarantas and his Solo Quiero Caminar which he played live in Barcelona
just do it
you won't regret it
if you don't wanna react to them just watch them on your own
you will be absolutely mind blown
I think I tried doing a video from him and it got blocked but I will try again! I want to learn about the people that inspired him to be the legend he became! We have both a Flamenco playlist and Paco playlist please feel free to recommend anything that you think should be added because I want them to be playlists that people can learn from and witness why this genre is so important to music in general! I have so much more planned to watch hear and show all the people I possibly can!
@@TheKillogicEffect If you want to see who inspired Paco
as I said react to sabicas
especially his Punta y tacon
you see flamenco guitar was supposed to be a very simple instrument but sabicas was the first one to truly show people what a flamenco guitar is capable of
and then Paco, Vicente, tomatito and many others
one of the only guitarists that carried the Moron style and the true essence of flamenco was Diego del gastor
fortunately there's some videos of him on UA-cam
if you want to see where flamenco guitar truly started you should react to him
and see how simpler it was
none of them play the true flamenco since the people who created flamenco were long dead before recording was a thing
but del gastor is the closest
I like the passion you have for guitar and understand how good Paco is !
Thank you I appreciate that! I wish I would have known of him a lot sooner! I totally understand why he was and is such a legendary icon and will continue to inspire people for many generations to come!
Paco and Flamenco are one. Thanks for sharing!!!
Luis de Córdoba, Granaína.
It is the purest guitar...it is just a guitar. Is it the best?
Sólo es una guitarra y es el mejor de la historia
❤
Very cool! Thanks for sharing his music with a broader audience. Great video that shows a detailed view of his 'picado' ( right hand picking style ). Love the reaction. Love all things Paco. Might I suggest any of the clips from this playlist of a show he did in Sevilla with JM Canizares and JM Banderas. The Manuel de Falla pieces are particularly beautiful ... ua-cam.com/play/PLx24CfDbRUq3I54sstSeIfm1KalaaAg4Y.html
Thank you very much a really appreciate it! I think I have one from that show in the Paco playlist but that sounds like a great suggestion thankyou very much I will bee adding more from that to the playlist!
@@TheKillogicEffect Thank you! And you're right, I think you may have done one track from the show. The rest are all great too, including the ones he performs with the other two guitarists - masters in their own right. It's a wall of guitar sound! Beautiful stuff ..
Hello mate, I enjoy very much the new artists and he is very nice discover ,Also I have one request if you can react, please,is Steve Balsamo -Gethsemane live in Ahoy Holland, for me is new but touch my heart really, thanks
