    Mistake 4 is why I'm pushing my test a month. I'm going to try to get through the AAMC and UWorld and then do the 4 practice exams. None of my practice exams are where I want them to be after taking 3 of them. Being realistic keeps your emotions in control. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

    You did ALL OF UWORLD in the free trial?? You are a strong soldier.

      I’m pretty sure she just did the UWorld free trial which is like 100 questions not the entire Qbank.

    This was such an informative video and congrats on getting into medical school! Did you feel like you needed Physics 2 for the MCAT? I haven't taken it yet and was wondering if it is something really pertinent to the test

      Thank you :)! I am not quite sure what the content of physics 2 is at your school. Could you be more specific?

      @@MedLeena Yeah of course! I saw the curriculum is something like this: thermodynamics, electricity and electric circuits, magnetism, geometric and wave optics, and elementary atomic and nuclear physics. I think it also continues the mechanics that I learned in Physics 1

      Looking at the topics, I would say most of them are needed for the MCAT. If your school has a pre-med/ pre-health advisor, I would also consult with them. Hope this helps.

    Thank you for this video and Congratulations on your acceptance!! I was wondering if you thought taking Organic Chem 2 would better prepare us for the MCAT or taking Orgo1 is enough?

    • @MedLeena
      @MedLeena  3 роки тому +3

      Thank you! I personally think one semester of organic chemistry is enough to prepare for the MCAT but certain medical schools require or highly suggest students to take two semesters of organic chemistry as part of their course requirements for admissions.

      Hi Leena, congrats on your acceptance to medical school!
      What do you think about taking mcat without taking biochem (only after taking orgo1)?

      Yes you can get by but orgo 2 helps biochem understanding quite Abit. Recommend orgo 1 and 2 as well as at least a semester of biochem

    This video was so helpful! I was wondering, what kind of flashcards did you make for the "harder" science subjects like biochem/ochem? Did your flashcards consist of concepts and definitions or sample problems to work through?

    • @MedLeena
      @MedLeena  2 роки тому +2

      Thank you. I recommend concepts and definitions for flash cards and have a excel sheet to keep track of the problems you got wrong. Hope this helps!

    Thank you for this video. I am currently in the same position as a high school pre-service teacher studying for the MCAT. I am planning on taking the exam in May 2022 ( I may extend this time, if necessary). I was wondering how did you manage to study for 2-3 hours and get through 2 Kaplan Chapters while taking notes. It takes me forever to get through one chapter then do notes afterward. Any advice? Also, do you have any advice for balancing being a high school teacher while applying to medical school?

    • @MedLeena

      I would recommend creating flash cards based on the knowledge you do not know from Kaplan. Also you could try creating summaries based on active recall instead of writing all things in the chapter down. I personally find long weekends and breaks the best time to focus on only MCAT. Also blocking out the time on the calendar in advance helped a lot! It is very hard work to balance but you will grow a lot through this experience! Good luck!

    Oh no! I'm picking because I'm also working full time but starting to study in January and my test date is April 12th. How can I readjust the schedule?
