Thank you so much 💗 I just took my first FL yesterday and scored a 497 and was feeling really down about it. This video showed me that it is still possible to achieve my goal score and that I need to believe in myself and bet on myself more than I have in the past. So thank you so so much for this, your energy is so comforting and positive.
@@ZainabMalik-eu8fp both! Many of the science classes you’re going to have to self study to understand!! Most important thing is to ask questions!! Even if it seems like your asking too much, or seems simple
@journeedunn3388 ok tysm. I was researching and honestly considering not doing medicine because nothing was telling me if collges teach you for the MCAT or med schools teaching for the USMLE
Its more so you take pre-req classes that prepare you with the basic knowledge and concepts over the span of your 4 years. But you will still have to self study to make sure you have the best understanding!!@@ZainabMalik-eu8fp
Congratulations on your MCAT accomplishment! God bless you! You are so beautiful. Thank you for your help, I have been feeling discouraged and overwhelmed with preparing for medical school. Thank you for your helpful tips, they mean a lot to me.
Took my half-length exam and got a 484, I have never felt so defeated until this video. Thank you for the resources! Do you have any tips on how I can strengthen my content review, especially for physics? Kaplan and khan academy aren't doing that much for me ;/
Hi, So happy to see WOC in healthcare! Congrats sis! Curious - do you offer 1:1 sessions? I want to pick your brain. Also, I noticed you listed a few freebies links on your bio but they're only paid documents. Happy to support but just wondering if freebies were your free resources? Thanks!
Hi, I don’t offer one-on-one sessions right now based on my schedule. Thanks for letting me know about the links - I will update those. You can use this link to access both my paid and free resources. However, you should see the following free resources - Med School Application Tracker, Scholarship Master List, Med School Interviews Guide - Traditional and MMI, USMLE Step 1 Resources. melanin-in-med.teachable.com/courses.
I started studying in Feb 2020, spring of my sophomore year. During that semester, I was taking biochemistry but had finished all other prereqs. My diagnostic was prior to studying.
In watching all these types of video there is a clear missing point in my opinion. They never discuss any weak parts from their undergrad science courses.
i really enjoyed this video, i did 4 blue print full lengths so far, my scores were not that impressive so i've gone back to the drawing board, i've heard kaplan js more difficult do you recommend i get kaplan?
I took notes for most chapters of the Kaplan book which I don't recommend in hindsight. I would just make summary sheets on key topics. You can use Anki to learn and solidify content from each chapter!

My mom sent me this😂 but I am so glad she did! I am a sophomore pre-med student and this was such a great overview and prep of what to expect!!
Hi, I'm a junior in high school, and I was wondering if colleges teach you most of the material on the MCAT, or do you have to self-study???

Question: Did you immediately start MCAT prep after finishing your prerequisites? Did you take the diagnostic test before you started studying?

Hello!❤ What is meant by 2 KA and 3 UWORLD? Are they the number of passages or question sets?
It’s the number of passages. I go by that because the number of questions per passage varies!
Did you make study guides for each chp?
I took notes for most chapters of the Kaplan book which I don't recommend in hindsight. I would just make summary sheets on key topics. You can use Anki to learn and solidify content from each chapter!
Hi, do you tutor?
Hi, thanks for your question. I don’t tutor.
