I love Marie kondos way of folding things. But I’ve always been a neat freak so I’ve been using these methods for years so sadly I didn’t learn anything.... still really love all of her methods though!

But I do have one addition: PLEASE to everyone... never fold a bra with a formed cup like this, you will ruin it, because you can´t get the fold out of it when folded back and it looses the form complete. This will show when worn. I did that in the past for a long time (not because of Konmari, way before) and ruined lots of bras that way without noticing. Always keep it like it is, unfolded and the cups like the are formed, just tuck the straps in. Stick on bra behind the other in the drawer, perfect!

These aren't the methods in her books though... This method looks like you're just bunching it up and folding it for the sake of folding it. In her books, the idea was to stack your bras going forward so it looks like a store display, and fold your underwear into neat squares, also so they look like a display. That's what I do now. This method in the video seems like you're doing it to go camping...
It depends on the bra. The padded/underwire ones are stacked forward like a store display. For soft non-whites bras you can fold them as shown here and similar to your other clothes.
I was wishing for this a few days ago, and now I'm upset because I have an underwire bra that can't be folded and it has to be layed flat in my drawer.

I can appreciate the fold but I honestly like the tousled look of my fabrics. Bras are too expensive to be pretzeling like that. Unless they're wire free or unlined lace you are slowly destroying them.
She has already 7,000 viewers just in 5/9/20. I did not know how badly people wants to fold clothes. Oh God, when it comes to folding clothes, I am a failure or lazy. LOL.
Wrinkles. Wrinkles do not bring me joy. When you take clothing, towels or sheets from a drawer, even carefully folded, many times they acquire wrinkles from folding. Not my fave.
I love the little stars that appear when she finishes folding something, because that's exactly how I feel when I did it myself

that is for padded bras, so they do not lose their shape.

The book was published in 2011 though. She kept learning about tidying and found this method that works best.
It looked like she was packing for a suitcase rather than the closet.

Even though I appreciate the neatness, this is to much of a hassle. I just put bins in a drawer and sort each item in them.
Some don’t have the space even with bins inside the drawer. Piles get too big for some drawers especially the pesky ones w shallow drawers
