Becky and I are about to start reading Heyer! I have a few of her Regency romances and the first two mystery novels she wrote. I an going to use much of April to read my first few Regency romances.
Ooo, I inspired a Steve buy! :D (edited to add: and I was thinking about you while talking about “Contact,” since you say the movie adaptation is usually better than the book!)
Andrew Stevens is the actor you were thinking of. Just seeing you hold up that cover of The Bastard brought back memories of owning and reading the entire 8 book run of those covers of The Kent Family Chronicles. I shall immediately seek them out again. They are $53 online now. Once again killing my TBR.
I will definitely look into The Shakespeare Wars. Also, bought the first two installments of John Jakes Kent Family series (which are for sale if you have a Kindle), since NYPL Overdrive doesn't have them in Kindle format (yet they have the rest of the series. Grrr!) It's been a while since I've read him. Loved Homeland and really enjoyed the N&S trilogy
Steve, since you seem to have so much luck with M.M. Kaye, if you find ANOTHER good condition copy of The Far Pavilions or Shadow of the Wind, I would gleefully pay you for either one. I have a really crappy copy of The Far Pavilions, as does my mother, but I never see them anywhere that they don’t look like they have been used as a dog’s toy. Of course, I couldn’t take them until next year, but I know your spidey sense will find them in the future and I will remind you. Your communist cat-loving fan, Kelly 🐶
The mountain air suits you. you can literally see your batteries recharging. great haul.

OHHH Steve is at the old farm house in Vermont?!?! Hmmm, does that mean we get a nice live stream with you and Mark?

Thanks for the mention of my cousin, Earnest K Gann. It’s great for him to get the recognition he deserves.
You'll have to define "shmultz" 😂.
Great haul! 👍
Awesome haul!
I just gave The Shakespeare Wars to my Shakespeare freak of a son. Y’all will have to compare notes.

I virtually never see the also-rans, but I see copies of "The Far Pavillions" fairly regularly! I shall scoop up the next copy I see!
❤️
You are like a black hole for books!
Are you and Mark valentines now?💘
