My dog was in pain and I needed info quick. This helped tremendously. Thanks! She's had a fluid drain today and was in tremendous pain when she got home. Is resting well now with her first dose for Carprofen.

Hi Aly. Government recommendation for new painkillers in the NSAID group is to obtain a blood test every 3 months. This would be a good precaution for an older dog taking carprofen, even though it's been around for many years. The other good precautions are to read the data sheet and chat with your local vet.
