Installation of the Shock with OMT Tailgate Assist Shock Kit

Is this only for driver side installation? Is there a passenger side installation option?

Have installed this product on my truck to try instead of DeeZee. Shock is extremely weak and doesn't dampen the weight of the tailgate at all. Tried calling company, but number is out of order.

I just installed mine and the shock is extremely strong. It takes 15 seconds for the tailgate to fully drop under its own weight. 2018 with no step.
