@@richardhannon1806 Could save lots of energy if they just bought a gas blower that pulls itself along, or better yet shovel it in half the time with a 36" snowplow shovel. I never understand the people who spend all the effort to pull out their blowers for 2-3 inches of snow. It would be less effort just to shovel this small amount of snow. I rarely run my 2 stage unless its wet, and over 6", because the shovel is so light, and the polyethylene blade just glides across my driveway. I have one of these snowblowers they are awesome. I noticed your Liverpool sign on the front door I’m a huge Liverpool fan also that is so awesome greats video hi from Leduc Alberta Canada

I'm actually quite shocked how good it did, I've been waiting to see one of these electric snow blowers in use. I wonder how they would do if it was a heavier snow?
I was thinking about getting one of these I live in Jackson here in Michigan as well and we did get our fare of snow this past year..I usually shovel since I moved 6 years ago and my driveway is only about 20 feet or so but it would be much easier if we get pounded with snow storms this year..
I have this snow blower and have been very happy with it. I previously had a dual stage ariens but that was overkill. It's quiet, and get right down to the pavement. I also have some of the other ego tools which have been great highly recommend.
@@gvsukids Wow! Mine wore out after about 6 uses last year. A friend of mine who's a machinist and used some type of very hard plastic type material they use on machinery. @fletchflips1017 wow, that is crazy. But maybe it depends on the surface. Our driveway was newly poured the past year, so that may have helped compared to the older driveway that was a little rough. Also having a layer of ice helps keep the fire from scraping, or too much force.
Got to say I am having no where near the experience you are. I have less than an inch of snow and this struggled to do that. It did more pushing of the snow into piles in front of the auger then actually blowing the snow. First snow of the season here. Does the use of a second battery help? It does run on a single battery.
I bought the Cub Cadet 3 Stage and now I wish I had bought the EGo snowblower. I'm 70 and getting tired of dealing with gas & oil & belts. Anyone want a new Cub Cadet snowblower & new tractor. Phil F
Wet snow or a snow plow berm at the end of your driveway and you have to break out the shovel. The single stage won’t cut it. Light stuff like this it’s fine for.
Appears to die out in deep snow. I'll keep my gas powered snowblower. But I left MI years ago for the soft fluffy snow of Idaho; albeit, usually a lot deeper. Green lights are cool.
I watched this video even though it hasn't snowed where i live since 1958. And that was light snowflakes reported by 4 people. Tshirt weather all year round lol.
Looks like a nice snow blower. Honest question though: why are you holding the throttle down the entire time even when you aren't throwing the snow? I would think you would conserve the battery power and only have it on while you are clearing. Cheers.
The single stage destroys these little 2 and 3” snowfalls, I want the 2 stage for anything over 2 inches and keep the single stage for amounts like you show in your video
I own an Ego mower and love it. Is this what you folks call snow? I am 67 and wouldn't think of using a snowblower for anything under 6 inches let alone a ½ an inch. I want to see a demonstration on 14" of wet heavy snow.
I usually use my backpack blower for snow less than and inch, but wanted to try out the blower. I'll definitely post a video if we receive 14" of wet snow, but I don't control the weather.
I'm almost 67, and I would use a snowblower for anything over an amount, my leaf blower can't handle. I don't want to end up with a sheet of ice, so, I have to keep on it.
I live in the North Country of NH. The machine seems to work well, the operator not so much. Also working on 2 inches of snow is not that impressive. Snowblowing 101 class would help future videos.
Thanks for the comment. There isn't a snowblowing 101 course around here, what do I need to improve on? 2" is what we had to work with and is better than shoveling.
Why is everyone “man that wouldn’t work in 12 feet of now or when plow comes by” duhhhhhhh different tools for different jobs, maybe it’s nice for places that don’t get much snow and for people that can’t push a shovel around, use are out here comparing a 4 door sedan to a 4x4 truck, obviously they’re built for different scenarios 🤦🏾♂️
The way you got this all started, all over the place really killed my OCD 😭
☝🤣🤣🤣
yea i was confused lol
I do the same thing for the first few feet of the garage opening so the snow is properly thrown away from the foundation

I have had a single-stage EGO for several years and I've used it many times. SO..............Why did I watch this guy do his entire driveway?????
Could you use PAM spray to keep the auger and chute from clogging up? Would it have any bad effect on the plastic parts?
Recently I sprayed Rain-X on the shoe and interior of the snowblower. Walking quicker i helps keeps the shoot from clogging
There's a good video on UA-cam about why oil based lubricants like cooking sprays should not be used for this.
Ceramic coat..I suggest Turtle wax

Sorry to hear that. Is your throttle set to high? The faster you push the snow thrower, the further the snow will fly out of the shoot.
@@gvsukids The throttle control was at its maximum setting. Barely tossed the snow. Like I said it was pushing the snow more then throwing it.

Maybe some people use a snowblower because they have a bad back or other health problems
Seems like all these reviews only have a few inches of snow
